Well, for starters, this isn’t Japanese food, it’s standard Chinese takeout. And by any big-city urban standard the food is a C-, and by small town no-competition standards, probably an overall B-. On the good side, the portions are very generous and the prices are ridiculously cheap. On the bad side, you get what you pay for. This is the blandest Chinese food on the planet, totally without flavor – not sure how that is even possible. The honey carrots are pretty good though, but the rest of the major ingredients are bland, bland, bland. There’s a case to be made here for MSG. And then there’s the rice – which is probably the lowest quality rice I’ve ever seen. It’s fine, and nutritious, but again without flavor or form. The rice needs to be upgraded to Jasmine or Basmati or Texmati or basically anything at all. All the food is prepared very quickly and the drive-thru window is very handy and efficient. If you just need to quickly pull off the Interstate and get some generous amount of Chinese-ish bulk food in your stomach, this will scratch the itch. If you’re looking for flavor and quality however, keep driving another 12 miles down the road to Bristol, where there is a more competitive Asian restaurant...
Read moreI never leave reviews but I'm so irritated at once again wasting money at this place. Tried for the 3rd and final time to get a decent dinner here and was disappointmented again! Don't go here! The chicken was so grisly that it couldn't be eaten, the carrots had black spots all over them, the rice undercooked and dry with the veggies in the rice still being hard and the wontons we ordered were barely hot and dripping with grease! Not to mention the smell of everything. It was a weird chemical/cleaner/grill spray smell, not what you want your food to smell like. The past 2 times there's been a svc issue and a order mixup but tonight was ridiculous our food has gone in the trash. We're out 15 bucks and eating sandwiches :( Yes, service was quick and fine but that doesn't matter when the food...
Read moreWe are from out of town and decided to stop by tonight after having to get a hotel off the exit due to snow. I was excited to see Japanese food right across from our hotel as it is one of my favorites. Very strange experience. We tried to enter the dining room which was closed. So we go to the window and sit for literally 10 minutes before being noticed. The prices on the menu have been blacked out? I’ve never seen this before. The place looked filthy from what I could see through the window. I can’t comment on the food because we decided to leave after seeing the condition of the kitchen from the window and the fact that we ordered two meals and was told it would be $41? You can eat at a nice dine in restaurant for that. Especially when you don’t even have prices on the menu, a...
