We really enjoyed the food at the restaurant, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel toiletries also smelled amazing. However, I would be remiss not to mention an incident that completely tarnished our stay. Around 1:30 a.m., while my husband and I were asleep, someone began violently banging on and kicking our hotel room door. This continued for four or five minutes. Terrified, we called the front desk from inside our room while trying to stay quiet. The front desk agent apologized and said security would sweep the area. Although the banging eventually stopped, there was intermittent commotion outside our room for several more hours. When I called again, the front desk suggested it might have been a drunk guest who had mistaken our room for theirs. That may be true, but the level of aggression in the banging and kicking was extreme—unlike anything I’ve ever heard. Given the known issues with homelessness and crime in the area, and the fact that the room doors face the exterior, this felt like a serious security failure. I’ve attached a screenshot of the follow-up text I received the next day. I was disappointed by the hotel’s response. While I understand that the incident may not have been directly the hotel’s fault, it is certainly their responsibility. A small gesture—such as offering coffee or breakfast to acknowledge the lack of sleep—would have gone a long way. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel for families or guests over the age of 35. It seems more suited to younger individuals looking to party, as that appears to be the prevailing atmosphere and culture of the property.

Extremely Disappointed – Poor Management, Unsafe Conditions, and Unprofessional Treatment We are extremely disappointed with our stay and how we were treated, not only by the staff but also by management. They accused us of damaging a door in their old, poorly maintained building. When they moved us to another room, we found the same unsafe issues with that door as well — all of which we have documented with photos. They then attempted to add completely invalid extra charges to our bill. They made false accusations against us and even had housekeeping take unauthorized photos of our room. We smoked outside the building — there were no non-smoking signs posted anywhere identifying the property as “non-smoking,” other than a small notice in the elevator (which is standard and not sufficient). The manager herself (Tabitha), along with security, inspected our room and confirmed there was no smell or evidence of smoking inside. We requested housekeeping three times before they finally came after the fourth request. Upon check-in, we were also provided rooms with used hygiene products, which is completely unacceptable. While a few staff members were professional, the overall experience with both staff and management was unacceptable. We also spoke with the GM Abraham and he gave no resolution. All reviews will be completed, and I will be contacting corporate regarding this experience.

If you’re into hip, retro, and a little chaotic, Arrive might be your place. The repurposed building oozes style — Zia-shaped pool, tasty cocktails, and plenty of Instagram moments. Doors open to the outside (east or west), so you get either a sunrise wake-up call or a late-afternoon bake. The park across the street is… versatile. Weekdays, it’s more “urban survival documentary”; Saturdays, it’s suddenly the best farmers market in town — do yourself a favor and get the breakfast burrito instead of the overpriced café fare. Now, the charm comes with “ambient entertainment.” Friday night brought the roar of what I assume was Central Ave. NASCAR Tryouts. Sunday morning, a couple camped at the fire ring below our room decided the entire hotel needed to hear about their life choices. I asked them to quiet down (worked for a bit), then texted the front desk — who, to their credit, handled it quickly. The bed is big and comfortable, but in a room this small, the protruding frame corners are like shin-seeking missiles — both my wife and I limped away as survivors. Add $25/day valet or gamble with street parking, plus an area better visited by Uber, and you’ve got the picture. Fun for a night if you like character — just know the character comes with a soundtrack… and a bruise.

We loved ARRIVE

Checked in for a 4 night stay to attend Chicharra Poetry Slam Festival. Chose ARRIIVE as the competition venues were a quick walk. I want to speak specifically to some of the points raised in other reviews while sharing our experience.

Staff: Every staff member we encountered was amazing. The person checking us in was excited to hear why we were there and later text me the link to a book on the history of poetry slams in Albuquerque. He even signed up to follow my son's poetry. Being immunocompromised, I'm always grateful when I see some of the staff masking and the efforts put into cleaning.

Valet Parking: Yes, we paid $25 a day for this as we had items for a book market in our Jeep and wanted them to be secure. They use a texting app which made things easy. I do suggest having additional staff available during the weekends since there was a higher need for the service, so we had to wait a couple times.

Restaurant: They provide the same menu throughout the day. We only had the Traditional Breakfast as it was the only thing on the menu that was gluten free. We discovered being gluten free due to Crohns a challenge everywhere in Albuquerque. They definitely love their chilies which don't love us. We didn't hit the bar, but they had some yummy sounding drinks listed.

Hotel Location: A couple of reviews mentioned being by a park brought a lot of the homeless population to the area. While we did see a few people, they were never intrusive and there were a lot fewer than those we have in Tucson. We ate at Sammy's Cafe a couple of times and LOVED that they provide a free meal to anyone struggling with food insecurity. The hotel is in walking distance to some great restaurants (including a food court) and was only a short drive to the Albuquerque Bio Park where we spent hours at the zoo and then did a quick trip to the Aquarium.

Room Location: Since room entrances are from the outside, we expected to hear city sounds. We faced the pool (per my request), so looked out over Central Ave which seems to be the main cruising street on a Saturday night. We were treated to loud music and lots of cars, with the occasional police sirens up until about midnight. It provided some entertainment to this night owl, but be prepared or ask for a room on the other side of the building. I know some people stated they didn't feel really safe having outside entrances, but we never had any concerns. They do have a security person onsite.

Room: We loved the retro vibe of the newly remodeled rooms. There is a stocked mini fridge and snack basket at expected prices. The mounted flat screen was perfect for watching the basketball tournaments. A few things I wasn't thrilled with but are personal preferences: beds are really soft which is great unless you prefer a firmer bed. The sliding door to the bathroom has a distorted glass which felt kind of weird when sharing a room with your adult son. The robes are a nice touch, but definitely not suitable for a size 2x person.

Overall: We definitely enjoyed our stay and plan to stay there next year when we return...

Edit: I increased the service to three stars from one. Tabitha, their customer service manager reached out to try to work with me which i appreciate. She also calmly listened to my story without making it about her. I can tell she cares and will use our experience to make sure others don't have a similar experience. It's hard for me to give more stars back, I just watched some of my wedding footage and people were confused and bored waiting an hour at their seats since my grandmother was having issues checking into the hotel and then getting her room to change....some things may never be fully made okay- I'm still apologizing to everyone and my grandmother, but Tabitha did work with me and I wasn't expecting that from a business. Their customer service is a clown show. They ruined my wedding. We had all our guests book here. My mom came a month early and took a tour with Christine. Everything seemed fine. All the guests that I paid with my credit card, were double charged and given a hard time. I called, emailed ahead of time, even went in in person to explain that I was covering the costs of the rooms. My wedding was Nov 1 and my grandmother, aunt and cousin who live 2 hours away were to arrive that day under a room with their name but MY credit card. I came in to book this reservation in person because I needed a room close to the elevator and two queen beds. My husband and I booked a room to stay there on Sunday Nov 2. Even though we had told them a billion times, they messed up and told my family they didn't have any reservations on Sat. 1. SO not only did three people including my 90 year old grandma have to squish into ONE bed, not TWO liked I asked, and they weren't by the elevator to help her with her wheel chair, and they double charged me and my Grandmother had an anxiety attack. By the time they got a room and calmed down, they were 1 hour late to my wedding. We alll live out of state and did the wedding here so Grandma who can't fly, can make it. The smug front desk woman didn't offer to make it right, they just denied denied any wrong doing and told me I was the one at fault. This is just crazy that with computers and mouths to communicate, they dropped the entire ball so hard. I will never forget Arrive. By the way, the windows are thin, and there is a lot of crime in that area. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, especially if you have any plans that depend on you getting your room as you requested. They didn't even try to make it right. They didn't even care. My grandmother had a stressful time checking in and squishing in that bed with two other people. It still...

UPDATE: I just wanted to give an update about this situation. I got a call from the manager Brie who is looking into this I appreciate all that she is doing to make this right and get to the bottom of this. I even spoke to the general manager that assured me they would get to the bottom of this and make sure it doesn’t happen again. I’m really pleased in how that are handling this. I will give an update on the final result.

I am currently staying at this hotel for a business trip. First off when I checked in and came up to my room. As I was getting settled in went to the bathroom and there was hair on the toilet, that means to me the toilet was not clean, probably the room too. They moved me to another room. Next I had merchandise delivered to the hotel on two separate occasions today. One of them was a birthday gift. The instruction for delivery were to leave it at the front desk. I did not give the delivery person my room number they only had my name. I got a message saying my order was delivered. I went to the front desk and it wasn’t there. Spoke with the delivery driver and he said someone at the front desk told him to leave it at my door. Came up to my room and my merchandise was gone. There were three to four people working at the front desk. When I went downstairs back to the front desk they said no one came and they did not tell anyone my room number or to take the merchandise up there. Later today I had another delivery come. Did not provide my room number as before but when I came up to my room it was in front of my door. I did not tell the front desk I was getting another delivery. Went backdown stairs and again nobody knew anything. And they didn’t know about a package being delivered. I believe the staff may have taken my merchandise. Really upset and nothing was done about it. The cost for what I purchased was an upwards of 125.00. I come here often but will never stay here again. The staff is dishonest and there is poor management. It’s dangerous to give someone’s room number out to a stranger. UPDATE: I just wanted to give an update about this situation.
