Expensive and kinda bad.

I had a spicy tuna roll, the marigold roll, and a green tea.

Worst first. The marigold roll ($22.50)

Good....Lord.....this thing is an abomination. It is a tuna/avocado roll topped with salmon. Solid start. BUT. They put a house salad with dressing in the center of the plate and make a circle of sushi around the salad. The dressing contains vinaigrette and when it is splashed onto the salad it also coats the sushi.

It tastes horrendous when put together.

I almost spat out my first bite because it was COATED in the sauce. It tasted off enough for me to question if I was served bad fish. I then dissected the next piece and tried every ingredient on its own to diagnose the problem. Everything tasted fine. But then I saw the other 8 pieces of sushi coated in sauce, and I understood the issue. I wiped it off with a napkin, finished my meal, paid, and left.

The reason I have such a grievance with this place isn't because of poor service, being over priced. It's just a poorly planned dish. Even on the side no one would want that flavor combination.

Also the tea was premade basic green tea. That's fine I guess.

The spicy tuna roll was not rolled correctly (not enough seaweed to hold the roll together) and fell apart when I tried to eat it.

All in all these guys struck out with me tonight. I know they can do better, they have the ingredients and the chefs to make good sushi. I...

I’ve been going here like 10+ years and it was always really good (I’m a young adult and I’ve been coming here as long as I could remember) and I know that a lot of people are really short staffed and I underhand that and I don’t wanna be a Karen but this time the food was very sub-par compared to the normal standard. To start, I ordered a spider roll and if you don’t know spider rolls are soft shell crab and some other ingredients which soft shell crab has to be cooked and this is my normal roll so I know that it is somewhat on the warm side but this time it was cold to the touch and it just did not taste right- the soft shell crab tasted as if it went bad or wasn’t cooked enough? I’m not sure but there was dark spots inside my fish. My tempura was also pretty sub par compared to usual but it was still ok. Overall however the experience was not what it normally is. I really hope that it is better in the future and I didn’t lose my favorite sushi place in Albuquerque. Also yes the food was sub-par however the service was really amazing and it is not the servers fault for the...

My dad and I stopped in for lunch. He got the beef teriyaki and I got the sushi bento box and a pot of green tea. Although the presentation was nice, the tea had a slight "fishy" taste to it. That was a first for me! Our waitress seemed to be overwhelmed, even though she was one of three and there were only about 6 tables being occupied. The miso soup was pretty tasteless. I was brought a salad before my meal came up and the waitress brought out our dipping sauces well before the meal. When the meal came out, she had our orders switched, so we had each others sauces, which she switched around instead of bringing out fresh sauces (my dad had already used some of his). My meal also had another salad on the plate and no rice. I didn't send it back. So, onto the sushi. The quality of the fish was so poor, they must have bought it at the local grocery store. My salmon was mushy! The whitefish was very tough. I've eaten at many sushi places in this city, and this one is, by far, the...

I've gotten into the tradition of ordering miso soup and gyoza as a way to sort of determine how good a Japanese restaurant really is, and this place does not disappoint! Miso is very flavorful and delicious, and the gyoza is too, with the beautiful golden, crispy edges I like to see and paired with a delicious (not your run of the mill) sauce! They have both fresh and saltwater eel - my first opportunity to try both! - and the mackerel nigiri is also amazing. Also tried the grilled salmon belly with unagi sauce ... something new and different and very delicious! It's super rich though (a fatty cut of fish), so share with a friend or pair with other small dishes before you order a giant plate. They have a great plum wine (I think it happens to be my favorite brand, but I forgot to ask), and green tea tempura ice cream which is a must-try if you've never had it, and even if you have! So happy to have discovered this place. Will definitely be back to try more!

Sushi Hana is amazing. Would give more stars. They have always been great and will continue to be. Last I went there oct 7th and their service was stellar. They work as a team, are very cordial and attentive. Our waitress was amazing. The food was outstanding. The sushi was flavorful and well presented, the squid salad was as tasty and tender as it ever was; and the Ramen...was absolutely the best ramen I've ever had anywhere in my 44 years of life, and believe me I have tried what I thought was every ramen shop in Albuquerque. Sushi Hana beats them all, hands down. Get the Miso ramen with beef and swe what I mean! The flavors, the eggs, the broth, the delicious beef seasoned perfectly... my mouth is watering thinking about it. I literally turned into Naruto after eating it. 11/10

Very delicious seafood! We got two specialty rolls and a few regular rolls and I will say, the specialty rolls weren't worth the extra pricing, we liked the regular rolls better. I wish I could remember which ones we got now, but I do remember the regular were much more favored among the table. There is a boat option where they bring a large .. large boat out with a spread so you can try many. They also brought chopstick helpers out for the kids, which was greatly appreciated. Be patient, I believe there is only 2-3 of them working the floor, doing everything from hosting to busing tables to being servers. So be patient and kind, they are doing their best. Just go, relax, and enjoy your company. They are very polite.
