Hotel I was very unsettled with the way this hotel had treated me and my partner. We never visit Albuquerque we were here for two nights for a 4 year anniversary vacation coming down for a concert. We are from El Paso, we got here pretty late checked in and out in about 5 ‘minutes just changed and left for the show. When we came back from a long night out we got home around 12:45 changed and we ready for bed when 5 minutes in our deep sleep we were woken up to bangs on the door, not knocking banging like the swat was raiding our room. A strange man who said he was hotel security (Had no identification on him, no badge no hotel id just in all black and glasses) didn’t bother introducing himself and why he was banging on the door instead he proceeded to yell and scream at me and my partner to get our things and if they don’t fit in our hands to leave it. Why? “the cops are coming for you.” Me and my partner startled and half awake were frightened were in an unknown city no family or friends to call a strange man banging on the room yelling at us? What do we do? . The time was 3 Am. I asked him “who are you, why are you doing this” he continued to say the cops are gonna be here any minute you need to leave. “You were being too loud, we can’t control the partying” - The tv was off and we did not pack a speaker. my partner said we have nowhere to go can we stay here can you leave us with a warning… “NO the cops are coming for you!!” Making us feel uncomfortable and embarrassed to be leaving my hotel room with no pants, no bra, not even shoes on our feet. Dragging our suitcase open running down the hall. Were at the car by now I can hear this man shouting from our room he was on our balcony (we were on the second floor) “you’re phone you left your phone!” I ran to him and this man throws my phone to me from the second floor. My phone got cracked. “LEAVE NOW!” Me and my partner go to another hotel hoping to get another room in this city. We lost our wallet both myself and my partners identifications both credit cards/Debit cards. GREAT now we can’t get anywhere. we try calling our hotel about 10x no answer. We finally get ahold of the hotel. Spoke to a manager Jessica. First answer “The cops are here”and hangs up. Call again second answer-“it’s 205 they keep calling..yes you can come back but you have to go to sleep.” My partner told her “ I feel uneasy about the way we were treated I don’t know if I want to go back” - “Fine then don’t come back” and hangs up.” I’m paying for a room and you’re going to tell me what to do in the room? . okay we go back to the room. It’s about 5am at this point.Coming back into this hotel hell our drinks were gone our Powerade’s and pack of alcohol beverages were gone. But not the water. Huh. New jumbo sized shampoo and conditioner gone, new cologne dolce and Gabbana missing. . We called to get them about took them almost 1 hour to get our things back. Returning our shampoos and conditioner dripping half empty. No cologne. No respect for our items. No respect for your so called “Guest.” It’s 6am. We have nowhere else to go. No Id no credit card so we go to sleep. When I woke up I sat with the manager we had a long conversation he was the only person who apologized and was understanding of the situation. He explained security knocked on the wrong room. Security got the wrong room! It was the room next to us! I asked if a wallet was turned in. One housekeeper said she saw the wallet it was turned in the front desk. We go to the front desk. No wallet. The staff was very rude and no one seemed to be understanding except the manager. I’m glad he was there to help us he even brought a goodie basket to our room. Which was nice how do we get food with no money.. But other than that I strongly encourage you to not stay here at this hotel. Horrible experience. We thought about bring our fur babies to our little vacation thank god we did not we were frightened I can only imagine the stress my dogs would have gone through. Again thank you to the only person who helped which was the...
Read moreThe front desk service is terrible. When I was checking in, I had trouble recalling my vehicle's license plate number, which I needed to provide on the check-in form, so while I was looking that info up on my cell phone, one of the two women behind the front desk, the one helping me check in, took my credit card to swipe it for the security deposit. The other lady working the front desk was welcoming a couple of White guests very kindly, asking them where they were from, and stuff like that. When she saw that I was having trouble finding my vehicle's license plate information and that I wasn't completing the signing for the security charge, she yelled at me "YOU NEED TO TAKE CARE OF THAT OR WE WILL HAVE TO START IT ALL OVER AGAIN" in a very rude manner. The contrast between the way she was treating the White guests she was checking in and the way she screamed at me was very obvious. I wanted to tell her what her problem was but I was extremely tired and all I wanted was to get into my room. When I came over to the front desk to check out (be aware if they give you a room on the east side of this hotel, it will be a very long walk to the front desk, or you will have to get in your car and drive from your room to the front desk), nobody was there. I waited a couple of minutes, then rang the bell on the counter. Still nobody. I waited another 2 minutes, then a well-dressed older White woman with short hair appeared from behind a door, she didn't even acknowledge me, she came into the front desk area looking down, as if she was looking for something under the front desk counter. I said, very politely "good morning", she still wouldn't look at me and she did not reply to my greeting. While still looking for something under the counter, she said "what do you need?", I said that I was checking out, she was still not looking at me, still looking under the counter, she did not take the room key cards that I was giving her, I put the key cards on the counter, and she said, still not looking at me "I will let them know". I turned around and left feeling confused as to why she had been so rude and behaved so bizarrely, and why she had said "I will let them know", as if she didn't work for the hotel. Both interactions with the front desk staff, upon check in and while checking out, were very unpleasant, otherwise I would have given the hotel 3/5 stars because, in addition to the swimming pool and the gym not being open, none of the elevators in the building were working, and the "breakfast" is just apples, oranges, very small muffins, and coffee or hot water for tea. They would be better off not serving that type of "breakfast". Yes, there are signs everywhere that read that the elevators, the swimming pool, and the gym are closed "for renovations" or something like that, but the fact that they are not offering those services should be reflected in their room rates. The rooms are ok, they're clean and well-kept, but the building is very old, and despite rooms being remodeled and refurbished, the whole feeling of the hotel is that it has seen much better days. Also, the bath tub in the bathroom was clogged, the toilet paper holder was broken, the entrance door got stuck against the door frame every time I opened or closed it, I had to pull it real hard to open it, and slam it hard to close it so it made a lot of noise, and while the room I got with 2 king size beds was large, the bathroom itself is tiny and very uncomfortable. Location is good, but that and the rooms themselves are the only things I can rate as "good" (not "very good" or...
Read moreThis was not an awful hotel…but I would not stay here again. Here’s why: Location: Easy access to freeway and many things, but the area was a bit sketchy. Both the closest gas station and Walmart had cops on patrol, and the overall area was dimly lit and close to some odd, abandoned-looking buildings. Room: The room was the biggest issue. First I might add we were her for 3 days and spent a lot of time in the room, so these things really mattered. The TV was not working when trying to access things like Netflix/Prime/Max etc about 99% of the time. I called the front desk and they forwarded me to maintenance with no answer. Left a message with all my info but no response and no one came look at the TV our whole stay. Out of the 40ish channels they had most were news and sports so this really sucked about the stay. Additionally, we could not set up our HDMI and laptop, no matter how many times we tried. So don’t bother bringing your Firestick. Aside from the TV, the bathroom door only closed if you shoved/slammed it because of the way the door has settled over time. So a small/weak person would not be able to close the bathroom door. The shower water took about 10 minutes to heat up, and the bathroom itself was so small there was not room to maneuver around the toilet if the door was open. Otherwise the bathroom was clean and it working order. The room was clean and tidy, except for some dirt(?) smears on the beds comforter which wasn’t a huge deal. There was very little space aside from the beds so it was not easy to play games on the floor as we did. The fridge made a high pitch screeching sound every time it started the fan, and we’d have to turn it down and back up again every 30 minutes or so. The heater was very outdated and extremely loud, and the room was either too hot or cold, we could never get it a consistent, comfortable temp. The window was large but there was no privacy curtain and the blackout shades came 5in or so from the floor, so it let a lot of light in as soon as the sun came up. Because we were on the ground floor facing the parking lot, we could never open the curtains for light without the privacy curtain. The room was extremely dark, with no overhead lights of any kind and only 2 lamps. One lamp keep turning on and off our whole stay. Lastly, the gap under the door to the room was 2in or so, which made for a very bright room in the middle of the night because of the hall lights. It also makes for easy access for intruders. All in all, you can see why I would never stay here again. However, I will say the front desk was really nice and easy to work with and the cold breakfast still had a lot of good options. Although all the juices just...
