Update to review I would like to provide a positive update on this review. Since reaching out and expressing my concerns both the front desk manager Melissa Vincent and the general manager Joanne Jones have reached out personally via phone and expressed their concerns with this and have gone above and beyond to make this right. It takes a lot to have management reach out like that and actually be sincere about it. I would like to thank both of them for taking the time out of their days today address personally on the phone.**
Is there anything less than a one star!! This place is AWFUL!! Don’t ever stay here! Not worth the price or the customer service and you nothing but loud traffic police and people yelling from the parking lot during the night.
Words cannot, and will not ever be able to describe the service this hotel has provided. I’ve been on the road for five months straight, traveling only to hit the nasty weather that wreaked havoc on Oklahoma and Texas. I needed a nice place to stay to rest my head and get some sleep. On top of it all, sustaining a rib injury unexpectedly prior to this trip.
I called your hotel directly (front desk) and was transferred to reservations. The gentleman on the phone told me that I could have the very top floor, 12th floor, for $108 total, and it came with a continental breakfast. I even confirmed before I paid. I get here, and my total is $174, which included a $50 incidental. I get that part. They put me on the sixth floor. Three rooms later, a maintenance man admitted he knew about room number two tv being out because he already had the third room key ready and made the maid do the heaving swap of the microwave and fridge, I now sit here in my third room after transferring me, making my injury worse.
I tried to call the front desk this morning and my phone doesn’t work. Broken side lamp. My microwave has already been switched out for being broken. And I am getting a nasty sewer smell in my room, but at this point, I do not have any energy left in me. In the other room, the TV didn’t work. The front desk girl working this evening has a major attitude that needs to be rechecked. Very unprofessional. I come from a long line of legal consulting, corporations, customer service, and she needs to take a class or have a nice chat with. Very...
Read moreAlways one elevator was broken and out of service. The one operating elevator was very slow. Due to the large volume of guests a long wait for an elevator to arrive and take a guest’s to their floor was very slow. Finally opted to take the stairs to the 5th floor. We arrived at our floor quicker than waiting on the elevator.
Room unclean. Found dog food kibble on carpet upon arrival. The following morning we spoke to the front desk staff about the state of the room cleanliness. We asked the floor be thoroughly vacuumed by housekeeping. The same dog food kibble was in the same location as it was found upon arrival the previous evening.
Bathroom shower contained a used bottle of personal shampoo left by a previous guest. The following morning, I requested the bottle be removed while at the front desk. Desk staff assured me the housekeeping staff would remove the used bottle. The used bottle remained in the shower the entire time of our stay.
Bathroom towels were requested to be changed. Dirty bathroom towels were left in the bathroom and not changed and put on the towel rack as requested. House keeping delivered fresh towels, but placed them on the bathroom counter. Used towels were still in bathroom upon departure.
A crushed box of tissue was left on the bathroom counter instead of being placed in the dispenser. The crushed box would not have been able to be placed in the dispenser in the condition it was found. One side of the box was crushed and box had come unglued at the seam exposing unused tissue inside the box.
We requested the coffee and creamer packets provided to the room guests, be replaced in order to have a fresh cup of coffee the following morning. Fresh packets of coffee nor creamer were replenished. We had to go to a restaurant down the street for our morning coffee.
Batteries in the tv remote control were low on power so tv was very difficult to change stations. Eventually turned the tv completely off. Could not watch the evening news because of low batteries to change stations.
Trash in trash cans was not removed. The same trash in the trash cans still remained on checkout.
We were not happy with our stay. For being a premier IHG hotel we were very disappointed. We...
Read moreI'm not sure why this hotel has 4 -stars -- it has to be one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in.
I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Albuquerque for 4 nights and attended a work conference there. Check-in was supposed to be at 3pm, but my room wasn't ready until 7pm! When asked about the delay, the concierge stated that the hotel had been completely full all weekend and they did not have enough people on the housekeeping team to clean all of the rooms. Being as there was a local event in Albuquerque that weekend and the hotel agreed to host a national conference (that has been planned since fall 2022), one would expect that the hotel would hire more staff for the high demand.
I ate at the $15 continental breakfast and it was extremely underwhelming. No fruit, limited cereal options, no bacon, no pancakes/waffles, no bagels, etc. For that price I would expect a true continental breakfast -- I've seen much better at other budget hotels. The cantina bar had $14 margaritas that were essentially all premixed Jose Cuervo and a splash of tequila. The food was overpriced and minimal.
I was given a 1st floor ADA room. I am not someone with a disability, but I am unsure how someone could get into the bathroom to shower. I had to stand next to the toilet just to shut the door! Not sure how that is ADA compliant. The TV was old and dim since it was about to die and had no tv guide. The walls are thin, and you can hear people screaming in the hallways and outside. The pros to the room were that it was clean, and the bed was comfortable.
This hotel is located in a run-down part of the city. I felt unsafe on the ground floor, but there were no available rooms for me to switch to. Lots of people wandering around who weren't tenants of the hotel. The pool was closed and there was no hot tub.
I would never recommend anyone stay at this hotel. They are in wayyyy over their heads and customers deserve a place to relax when away from home. This...
