Royal Inn Knoxville Airport — Hotel in Alcoa

Chapter 1: Worth the read This had to be the WORST most disgusting and rude and hateful experience I have ever had in a hotel/motel. After 25 mins of trying to find the place and being smarted off to by the first lady in the back office the front office couldn’t find my booking so we left came back bc there was nothing else that matched the booking! He was gone to the airport. While waiting there was a guest waiting bc his remote didn’t work the guy came back and by that time there was another guest who came in and asked for a different room was asked why he said “you don’t wanna know!” The guy asked why again and he said “come look for yourself!” I waited for awhile he came back finally found the booking and checked me in. I knew something wasn’t good, but it’s “non-refundable”.. Chapter 2: Hell in a Cell We get to the room..me, my son (3), and my mother..the entire outside is sketch and the pool was ran down down..(not that we were interested in swimming but for those that are, you can’t and I wouldn’t even if it was up and running, you’d have a high chance of catching mersa)..as soon as we open the door, I was gagging and almost threw up from the smell. I mean absolutely took my breath away. I was like maybe it’s just the airflow give it a minute to kind of air out and not be stuffy. The smell never went away. The inside looks like what I imagine is a cell of some kind or interrogation room. Poor lighting. Opened toilet paper. Cigarette burns everywhere. One ole used computer chair. No remote for the tv. Human hairs in the blankets. Dirty floors. Dust on furniture thickkk. Disgusting, I’ve seen stables cleaner than that. So I pretty much knew we weren’t staying but it was so late and nothing else was available, so I thought if I go get clean blankets and sheets maybe we can just get some sleep and start a new day tomorrow and never come back. Chapter 3..Lady from a scary movie.. If you’re still reading I’m surprised but it gets better..I go to the office to ask for said blankets and sheets and wait while a biker gang was explaining how their friend was to intoxicated to be a nuisance but if he was here’s a number to call they’ll be back later..cool. 🙄😩 So it’s my turn the lady immediately asks me rudely “what do you need?!” I explained the blankets and sheets, she cuts me off…and says “the rooms have been cleaned it’s not possible!” I said “well you can come look!” She rolled her eyes and scoffed and yells “WELL THERES NOONE HERE TO BRING YOU “CLEAN SHEETS”” With her fingers for quotes,..” I then said “Jeez, why the attitude what did I do?! Besides pay money to stay here in filth…I’m asking for sheets and blankets!” “I told you no one can bring them!!!” “I said then I’ll wait here!” About that time a maintenance man walks in with a cigarette hanging out his mouth and she turns and yells at him and basically mocked me and told him the situation. Storms off into her office and said “she said she won’t leave until she has sheets!” Sheets yall. You would have thought I asked her to build a new hotel from scratch. Which should happen bc the place should be shut down….he leaves, she gets a call a few minutes later and yells..”he’s at your door!” The RUDEST anyone has ever spoken to me in a guest services situation. Chapter 4: Escape By this time I’m exhausted. Just drove 11 hours..get upstairs..boiling mad. 😡 I complain to the maintenance man, he claims he knows, he understands, people complain all the time, she has horrible people skills, yada yada yada…doesn’t explain below poor housekeeping….I go in the smell is awful still and I decided we couldn’t stay. It wasn’t worth it. So we left and ended up waking up family to see if we could crash with them for the night. Gave the key back to the lady for principle and she yanked it out of my hand. Still haven’t received a refund bc the booking website didn’t see it reasonable unless it was “unsafe” which I couldn’t “prove”. The owners name is PETE and you should be ashamed!!!

HIGHWAY ROBBERY IF YOU STAY HERE!! SHUT IT DOWN!! I might sound mean, but I can’t...

Forced to find a place last minute due to my hotel being over booked, this place is a special kind of rat hole: it does not feel safe, the outside is dirty, trash scattered around the grounds, and hotel cleaning and maintenance equipment deserted in random spots. Our fellow weary travelers agreed we would not go out alone but always with someone else. People eyed us on the way in and we disappointed them by not unloading anything until we were done with business at the end of the day. The room appeared clean but smelled of so strongly of weed, we had to leave the door open for a time, and kept the A/C on full blast and the bathroom vent (with light of course) running the whole time we stayed. Once in bed, years of prior smoke could be smelled each time we tossed and turned. The bed is very soft and we rolled towards the middle each time the other moved. We also had to put our own sheets on, the bed only had a blanket and flat sheet, all the sheets, blankets, and towels had holes. Lastly, it is across from the airport, you'll hear every plane as if it is landing on the building. The flights slow/stop around midnight but pick back up...

I will NEVER use priceline to book another stay. At the royal inn knoxville in alcoa TN. We found it on their website booked it and got there. As soon as i turned the light on roaches and bed bugs were crawling all over the place. I went straight back to the office told him i couldn't stay here with my children. Another woman was in the office having a fit because her child got bit and had blood were a bed bug had got her. He refused to refund me said the booking company had to refund me. Offered me another room. Checked that room same condition he called me a lier so i went back to the room collected some bugs and took them to his office. He called security and the police on me 😂😂😂 they show up and what do you know they agreed with me and wouldn't stay there either. They STOLE my money!!!! I will be contacting the Health department and the BBB and my lawyer!!! They should have simply just refunded my card since we didn't even stay. Simple fix.. We found a great hotel down the road and...
