Wyoming is showing off already!! We arrived at Alpine Valley RV Resort to thunderstorms. Then as we were setting everything up, we looked up and saw this insanely bright double rainbow! What a treat! This park is already impressing us and the boys insisted on hitting the playground right away. We can’t wait to explore the Tetons and everything this beautiful area has to offer! #Hosted #RVTravelDay #RVLife #RVFamily #GrandTetonRVParks #GrandTetonNationalPark #Wyoming

This site is in a beautiful area. We had epic seats for the city's firework show right from the pad next to our trailer. The people who run it were very kind and accommodating. This has the potential to be a fabulous RV park, however, here's the reality: It just barely opened. There is no grass, no trees, just a whole lotta dirt still under construction. They brought us a temporary fire pit and they have a temporary shower trailer that is quite nice, however, do not use it when others are using it or your water pressure will be a trickle. They've got some kinks to work out. I think what left a sour taste in my mouth was a combination of false advertising on their website and the email we received at 11am on the day we were to check in (already en route) letting us know the reality of the status of the RV park. They offered a refund if we wanted to cancel; however, there was no where else to go with that kind of notice, especially on a holiday weekend. If they really wanted to excel at customer service, an offer for a discount at a future booking would've been nice since they weren't willing to offer any discount upon arrival. We were disappointed. (Would've given four stars if they had done that, and would happily update to five once it's complete and actually looks like their website.) As for the location, it's right next to a lovely grocery store. Had I known that, I would've saved my time and just bought our groceries there. It's near Palisades Reservoir, so bring a shade tent and your SUP board. Lunch Counter was close and fun to watch, but a good 45 min. from Jackson and 60-70 min to Grand Teton National Park...so not the most convenient for those locations. I'm sure it will be a lovely spot in a year, but for now, unless they discount the price, I'd pass and find something with the amenities all ready in place.

First I want to list the positives of this park. It is new, the grass at each site is beautiful, the sites are large, the park itself is very new. The check in staff is friendly. Now on to the real deal. This park is unfriendly. It starts with their emails weeks before you come. They sent me 8 emails before I even arrived. The emails start when you first book, they include many do nots but most are capitalized like DO NOT or NO EXCEPTIONS, there were at least 11 all caps words in this email. Ok we get it the rules are important to you, but basically screaming them at me is not necessary or friendly. Most of the do nots are typical some are not. They start with cancellation policy which is basic, then move on to the check in time. This is where they get a little ridiculous. The check in time is 3:00 p.m. check out 11 a.m. anyone checking in before 3 will incur $10 per half hour, anyone checking out late will incur $10 per half hour. Mind you we got here and the park was maybe 25% full. Our site was empty. We had to stage and wait in the grocery parking lot which was hot for us and the dogs because we showed up 35 minutes before 3:00. Yes I could have paid $10 to go to site early but I was already paying a ridiculous $130 a night for a site that should have been around $60. I know they can make whatever rules they want, I am a rule follower, but how they communicate it and how they treat you is another thing. The park is nice, but it is in middle of no where, it looks like it’s on the river but it is not you can’t even see river from the park its like 100 yards to river and 100 feet down to river, and the emails just kept coming. Don’t do this, don’t do that if you do you will be punished, and then a disclosure you had to sign before you get to the park to check in. This park is really expensive for what you get and not even in a nice place. They could really improve with just less email, make them friendly and welcoming. Signing a waiver for the rules is not necessary, lower price to a reasonable one for what they offer. I would not...

Service was outstanding from the initial contact to book, arrival and throughout the stay. Guided to our spot upon arrival. Beautifully landscaped and spacious spots. Fully paved. really gorgeous and clean. Daily trash pick up at your site. New tables and chairs to enjoy the evenings. Perfect fire pit clean and ready to use. Everything was perfect except two issues ( thus the four star, not five).

  1. The set up of the bathrooms is terrible. Toilets with showers. So every evening they are full for HOURS. People are taking long showers and thre toilet is in the same room. 8 separate toilet/shower rooms. 2 were out of order, leaving six total for a huge park. We had some minor issues with our black tank and wanted to take it easy on using our facilities but to get to a toilet in the evening was impossible. Separate showers from toilets is a much better set up. If you do take a shower in there, the humidity is so high you can't even get dried off much. Needs better ventilation.
  2. The second issue is water pressure. They loan you a regulator because their pressure is high but the regulator drops the pressure to a trickle. We took the regulator off and just manually set it to just the right pressure. Just a frustrating process to get it set right and not something that should be an issue at such a nice park otherwise. It's 50/50 on if we would come again or not. The bathroom situation was a pretty big deal for us. The Broulims grocery next door is one of the nicest grocery stores I've seen in a small town. It's great to have it next door. Closed at 8pm so get your stuff before then. It's really a NICE store. Even has pre made meals and a bakery etc.

Again the service here at AVR from the staff is amazing! We really enjoyed Pete and Joey and their help...
