We stayed here for a week in July 2023. The location in the middle of Alpine is great, but the RV park is run down and in need of some work to justify the rates that they charge. This park has the potential to be nice but it's just not there yet. The park attendant was friendly and tried to accommodate people as best as he could, given the obvious problems and limitations within the park. The laundry facility is nice, because it's new, but the sites, particularly the pull-thru sites are not designed well at all for big rigs like our 48 ft. fifth wheel. They are straight-in and there is no way for a big rig to get into the site without some major adjustments, especially if the nearby sites are occupied. First, they need to remove the site number posts, and put the numbers on the electric boxes instead, then they need to angle the sites properly. This could be done without a lot of problems, other than rerouting the rear sewer dump locations for those sites that have them. The sewer connections need to be redone anyway as they were in bad shape- one next to us came apart when our neighbor tried to hook up to it. There are trees in some of the sites that need to be trimmed because they are touching the rigs. There is also grass all through the pull-thru sites which are supposed to be rocked. There either needs to be a proper lawn, or none. They also need to re-arrange their check-in lanes which are far too small and has too many turns for big rigs to make, especially when there are other vehicles present. We did have fun in the area, but we were not the only rigs who had a very difficult time maneuvering in and out. There is a perfect spot to build a proper dog park near the front next to the check in 'caboose' but there is a sign that says keep dogs off grass. The tavern on-site is okay, with decent, but expensive food. This park has potential but needs to be properly updated to accommodate...

After being caught in rain for two days at Wolf Creek Campground, I took someone’s suggestion to grab a shower at the “yellow caboose.”

Upon pulling in, the office was unoccupied. No sign of when the owner/mgr would return but a number to call. Another patron called the number and a cell phone rang on the porch behind the bar.

Ventured into the bar and someone pointed to Jim, who was sitting down for a meal and chatting it up at the bar. He gave the impression he couldn’t be bothered.

Once in the cowboy shower room, my shower had one temp - no matter even if all the way cold - which was 3rd degree burn/remove at least five layers of skin hot.

After fiddling with the shower for 5 minutes to no avail, I walked over to the bar and met Jim outside. When I explained the situation, he said “I showered in the middle stall this morning.” Once I said it was the end stall, he said “see when the laundry is going…. I could put a valve that would regulate the temp but it costs $215.” Considering any shower I have used across the state of Wyoming has been free or

We found Grey’s River RV Park by total accident, on our way from Ohio to Idaho. Awesome dirt bike trails. We stayed 2 days there, went to a family gathering in Idaho, and decided we liked Grey’s River so much that we came back and stayed another 4 nights on our way back east. We really like to travel and see new things, so for us to go to the same place twice on the same trip in kind of a big deal. So many trails, never rode the same trail twice.

Grey’s had lots of charm, with large grassy area and mature trees- not gravel lots without character. Friendly staff and on-site restaurant were both a major plus. Brand new bathroom/shower & laundry facilities are gorgeous, sensibly designed with quality finishes and well-maintained. There is a FANTASTIC grocery store very close, in addition to several restaurants. The Taco Truck across the street was some of the BEST authentic Mexican food we’ve ever had. **Do not confuse the Taco Truck for the Mexican Restaurant- two different entities. The restaurant was horrible, probably the only bad experience we had in Alpine. Everything else was double-plus-good.

Anyway, we found Grey’s RV Park (and Apline, WY) by accident, and came back because for the dirt bike trails and campground amenities. We had such a great time, and will...

Nice campground, could use some love to update the individual spots. Great „office“!

This is a decent overnight stopping place in Alpine, either before or after visiting Grand Teton National Park. The park is clean and the sites are level. We were one of the only RV's there in mid-October, as it was off season. The nice part about staying here is that you can get some food at the tavern on the property. Nothing fancy, but a decent hamburger and a cold beer is better than having to cook for myself. The only negative is that the check in office is cramped and the guy checking us in was smoking a cigar. It didn't bother me, but my wife thought I stunk when I came back in the RV after checking in. So, if you don't like cigar smoke, you might want to go somewhere else.
