I booked this location because it was in close proximity to some family and some family cemeteries. I was taking my Cousin on a trip since she had never been to see her Grandparents graves and the graves of some of her Aunts and Uncles. I found out she has never stayed in a hotel in her 54 years on this earth. I wanted to make it special. Delta is suppose to be a premier hotel in the Marriott family. I tried calling the hotel the day I booked our room to see about getting a room on the highest floor, and to ask if there was anything they could do to make her stay special. I could never get thru on the phone. I sent Facebook Messenger a message for Marriott and they tried to contact the hotel over the phone and couldn't either. So i figured maybe phone line issues with construction near by. I sent an email to Marriott Customer service and was sent back a message

When we arrived we were put on the 4th floor. I asked for a room to be feather free and all the pillows were feather. At the hotel I asked for feather free pillows and got 2 ( there were 4 feather pillows on each bed )they said there weren't any more available in the hotel.
On the Marriot web site it states Marriott BonVoy Member Benefits: Breakfast: Pantry currently closed. We offer complimentary grab and go coffee and sandwiches. Panty was open and we got no free coffee or sandwiches. Welcome Gift: Guest if offered complimentary items from the market. We got no welcome gift.
In the morning after the first night we went to the Starbucks in the corner. They have no idea what they were doing . They don't take Starbucks cards or points. My cousins frap was made with espresso instead of coffee. We went up stairs to the Winchester to get breakfast. My cousin started eating hers and found a hair under her hash browns. She didn't want anything else after that and they did comp my meal. We went to McDonalds for her breakfast.
We had to end up staying an extra night due to my new car having an issue. There was a Chevy Dealer a few blocks from the hotel and they were able to work on my car and put in a new chip of some kind the next day. SO YEAH! to Don Hall GM.
I went to the workout room every morning. The first morning there were some small waters in a fridge. Next two mornings no waters.
I sent a message to the front desk on the BonVoy app about towels. Eventually had to go to the front desk and they had to hunt down some clean towels for us.
Thursday rooms on our floor were being cleaned. They propped open half dozen or more doors with the used linens and trash and left it that way for at least 5 hours.
When we checked out on Friday morning I expressed my disappointment in the hotel. The wallpaper was coming off wall in bathroom, loose light fixture in the bathroom, handle to the shower was about to fall off. I said I was disappointed the didn't offer grab and go snacks for breakfast. I was told, by the employee 10am Friday June 11th,that since they had a full service restaurant they didn't do any free breakfast. I said I've stayed at lots of Marriott properties with restaurants that still offered a piece of fruit of bottle of water or something and she wanted to argue with me. My Cousin did enjoy her stay, except the hair in...
Read moreDrove from Houston, Texas and checked into the Delta hotel on March 22nd for a 16 nights stay because my mother (90) , who lives by herself, had smoke damage to her home and her insurance company provided lodging there. On the fourth night, after having had the room clean previously, I noticed that an item of mine was gone. I reported it to the front desk and they in turn reported it to their general manager, Jackie Hymel. They said that the cleaning person thought it was garbage however, it wasn't and it should have been reimbursed right then and there. After reporting it to front desk, I waited for Jackie to call to see how she could rectify this issue, after all It was their employee who had taken from me. Jackie made no attempt to reach out to me and when I finally contacted her, she acted like it was no big deal, an ("oh well")moment and did not offer to even replace it. When I question "Why", it angered her and she threatened to put me out of the hotel for being rude to the general manager which is her.(How crazy is that!!!) She also accused me of staying in the same room with my mother which was a lie.(no apology for that either.) We were in Room 708 and my mother was in Room 808. We had our own room, which we ended up paying $2313.33 for our entire stay. (Checked out April 7th.) Not once did she offer to reimburse me. I had to report her to the corporate office because she kept on closing the case until they escalated it to a different department. This lady was very rude to me and needs retraining. I am very disappointed with how I was treated by this general manager. The rest of the staff was courteous and nice. She could learn a lot from the people who she's supervises. I'm sure if she talked to me and treated me this way, I'm not the first person that she has been rude with. Also to this very minute, I have not received a sincere apology from this general manager. With a company that earns over 30 billion in revenue, if this person is the best that Marriott has to offer in the position of a general manager, that's very sad. She definitely does not represent the companies position of "customers satisfaction". Any kind of response I have received is from the corporate office and not from her. I hope Marriott Corp. will consider moving this woman into another position where she can't embarrass the company brand. P.S. My husband states he too is pissed about our...
Read moreWe found the hotel very clean and attractive. We did have a few complaints. I requested a down free room during the booking process. We arrived to the hotel late at night and I called the front desk to explain our room featured 4/4 down pillows. I was told the hotel was short on foam pillows but if I were awake for a “good while” they would let me know if they could come up with any. Mind you it was after midnight already. I declined as we weren’t staying up all night for the possibility of receiving a foam pillow. Additionally when booking I requested a river view room in the special requests comment section. Of course when we got to our room it was street front. Not a huge deal but at the same time, this is part of the attraction to the hotel and it just so happened my wife and I were traveling on our anniversary so it would’ve been nice to wake up with some sort of nice scenery such as a view of the river. Again, it was so late and we had already conducted our self inspection of the room, for bed bugs, cleanliness, etc., that by the time I noticed we weren’t on the river side we didn’t bother to complain to the front desk. This should have been noticed during the booking process in the special requests section, otherwise why does such an area exist for booking? I made the front desk aware of these issues during our stay and again at checkout and was offered nothing more than an apology, no rate discount nor compensation of any sort for their lack of attention to detail. Lastly, I did not feel valet a necessary feature of the hotel. Thankfully a parking space was available along the road in front of the hotel. We would consider staying here again but our stay certainly could’ve been better. The appearance of this new hotel is very nice. The location seemed good and well lit. The rooms were nice and the shower was second to none. We only received about 45-50 tv channels not featuring many channels that are fairly common, which was a surprise this day and age. There were options to log in to certain streaming programs such as YouTube, Pandora, and Netflix but still. Breakfast must be purchased. There are many positives at this hotel, including the bathrooms, cleanliness, etc., and it was a delight to find this place along our route but several aspects could have certainly...
