This museum is a hidden gem in Ashland, KY. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth a visit. The museum feautures great exhibits connecting local history with world history including exhibits on manufacturing, railroads, barges, World War II, Frontier periods, fashion, and country music. There is also an entire level that is a kids museum for the little ones that includes exhibits on space education, aviation, and frontier life. Finally there is a gift shop for your souveneir needs. This place is very well done and worth a visit!

This place is awesome. I love WW2 history and I really liked their display and would love to see it grow even bigger. I liked the personal touch they added from Ashland/Boyd County area and the war efforts. Definitely learned a lot and will definitely be back. They have a huge section for kids to play with themed areas like boats, space, shops like McDonald’s, and a food store and several exhibits for everyone’s tastes.

Was visiting Ashland, KY and walking downtown when I came across this museum and decided to check it out. It's a small museum with several exhibits. Good to learn about the region during different eras of history. Admission is affordable, for adults is $10. No wait to get in and it was mostly empty. It is worth the visit. They have a whole floor for kid's interactive exhibits.

We visited while my son and his family were in town for Christmas. We were pleasantly surprised with the Discovery Center. Grandsons enjoyed all aspects, and we adults loved it. Great addition to Ashland. We've needed something like this for our children and this is a great step in that direction!

Loved loved loved! My 8 & 10 year old had a blast. Large variety of exhibits. Country music, world war 2, Native American, and then the children’s exploration area. It’s not a large museum however, for the price, customer service, entertainment, and location it’s a fun stop!
