A Cautionary Experience – Avoid This Hotel This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The online photos are highly misleading. Here are just a few of the issues we encountered during our brief stay: 1. There appeared to be blood and feces on the bathroom wall. 2. The air conditioner was not functioning. 3. Mold and other visible defects were present in the shower. 4. The bathroom sink was clogged and flooded. 5. A lamp in the room was missing a lightbulb. 6. Cobwebs were scattered throughout the room. 7. The bed linens had not been changed and were visibly dirty. To make matters worse, I had booked through Hotels.com and spent over four hours on the phone attempting to get relocated for the night. Although we were eventually moved to another hotel, the process was frustratingly slow, and there were multiple payment issues. At 3:00 AM, we were still struggling to find accommodations. Additionally, securing a refund proved to be another challenge. Hotels.com required authorization from the hotel manager, who refused to provide a full refund simply because we had checked in—even though we spent less than 20 minutes inside the room. Instead, we were forced to wait in our car for hours while attempting to resolve the issue. Hotels.com is partnering with an establishment that should be reported to the Texas Department of State Health Services. Moreover, communication with their representatives was difficult due to a language barrier, and there was a noticeable lack of empathy regarding our situation. I urge others to review the attached photos and reconsider booking with this hotel.

Where do I even begin? My minimum requirement for a motel is a decent night's sleep, and this place failed the test. The people in the room above me were dragging furniture around after midnight. And I was awakened at 7 a.m. by some kind of mechanical thumping, perhaps a sewing machine. I suspect someone is operating a home business out of one of the rooms. When I opened the door I was greeted by a two-tone faux wood floor that had been repaired with a different color laminate. That would have been fine, but they weren't even the same thickness, leaving a lip on which you could catch a toe. The shower curtain only had six of the required 10 hooks, allowing it to sag underneath the shower head and the water started spraying all over the bathroom. When I reached up to fix it, I stabbed my hand on the needle-sharp drapery hooks they had used in the place of proper shower curtain rings. And the shower curtain didn't even reach the floor. The toilet didn't flush fully, and the tool damage to the bowl tells the tale of many past clogs. When I arrived, there was no one in the office to check me in. So I ended up sitting for 20 minutes on the floor of the vestibule. The pool was a lovely murky brownish-green -- at the end of June in the Austin heat. Easily the worst motel I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in some fleabags.

Run,Run away from here dirty hotel with animals and bed in the spring, I was asked to front desk just for refund 5 minutes after seeing the room to leave here tell us to another place and said that they did not return the money and additional is a motel of about 60 dollars a night and on days like today when there are events in the city they take advantage of people and rent a room for about $60 dollars, all broken, dirty and with animals without refund for the exaggerated price of $300 the night without refund for sleeping with animals and in a bed that does not have foam just spring, I think we would have slept more comfortable in the truck in a rest area and free with the light of the moon and the outdoors.

Check-in was a breeze and Veronica at the front desk was very pleasant. Once in the room, because I cleaned up water spilt on the floor, I found the white toilet paper turned absolutely black AND with * hairs on it to boot. All this within 1sq ft. I called the lobby and asked how often the floors were mopped. I was told “every day.” I related what I had found to the contrary and was asked if I wished to change rooms to which I said “yes!”. When I went down to retrieve the new key, I took the wadded toilet paper with me and she took a picture of it before throwing it in the garbage! There were two very large, well lit, vending machines in a hallway off the main lobby, and the ice machine was in good working order and the ice, clean and solidly frozen. ïżŒ I decided I was too tired to check and see if the new rooms’ floor was dirty or not so I proceeded to not ever walk on the floor with my bare feet. The day manager, Mari, was very nice and the coffee was hot fresh out of the thermos on the side table
hot water and tea bags also available. If you detest “sweet ‘n low” bring your own natural sugar. I ran into the head of housekeeping and happened to mention how disgustingly dirty the floors were in my first room, and I informed her that the night manager had taken a picture of what I had wiped up on my piece of toilet paper and she said she would go and ask to see it. I later learned that Mayra had indeed done so. So that was good attention to detail. Everything in the room worked fine including the remote and TV, the microwave was spotless and looked brand new and it even had a childproof lock on it for those families traveling with curious offspring that haven’t internalized the meaning of “NO” yet đŸ˜”đŸ’«. The refrigerator was spotless and new looking as well. WiFi was strong and reliable. I walked by the pool, which I noticed was closed (understandable for this time of year!). It was full of water, but I must say that it looked the equivalent of a Louisiana swamp and I was prepared to see a ‘gator come climbing up those darkened, slimy stairs at any point in time.😆 The parking lot at night is VERY well lit around the entire property which is a very welcome sight!Being right off the interstate doesn’t provide for any exciting venues to walk to but there IS a wonderful grocery store (HEB) .7miles away straight down Rundeburg on Lamar/Rundeburg. Other than that there are a plethora of food trucks doling out South American ‘cuisine’ just yards from the front of the hotel as well as across the street. I didn’t try any of them so cannot opine.I hope this was worth the read, if indeed you got this...

Unfortunately my family and I had to stay at this location a few times over the course of a month. Most of the hotels in Austin are booked to capacity due to events and alot of people live in the extended stay hotels. My experiences with the Motel 6 in North Austin is unforgettable. I'll just share the most recent.  Booked a room for 7 days on booking.com for a grand total of $524.16. The reservation confirmed the room would include double beds, a fridge and microwave.  After checking in we noticed there is no microwave. I ask the receptionist,  she is alone it's the weekend there is nothing she can do. I call customer service,  they call on my behalf, problem still not solved. I go a step further and write the manager who lives on site a letter explaining to her that my family and I are homeless and we have no where to prepare food. The motel prices are so high and buying food out everyday is costly and can be the difference in us being able to renew the room. Still no response.  I email corporate a copy of the letter and guess what no response!! We renew our reservation for another week. At check in my husband ask if this room will include all the amenities listed on the reservation. Finally we get a manager. She tells my husband that she will no longer rent to us because our kids were swimming in the pool unattended. (LIES) The whole experience was awful. The tenants let their dogs poop everywhere, the pool is disgusting, the laundry facilities do not work,  the rooms new & old have roaches. The staff is overwhelmed clearly and it shows in how they treat you. You can't ask for towels or tissue or in my case a microwave they charge higher rates for. Throw the whole motel away. They can go ahead and turn the lights off. I don't even have enough time to talk about All the ILLEGAL Activity that goes on at this location.  Stay anywhere else but here!!! Especially if you...
