This place is a place that clearly anyone should be able to tell, from reading these reviews & the way that the staff treats their customers, that this place should be avoided. My husband, my son & I stayed at this motel the night before last night, along with our two service animals. We have all the papers on both of our dogs & can easily provide proff of our dogs, as they are true service animals. The staff of this motel were completely aware of this fact. We booked for three nights, first night went really bad. There are no microwaves in the room, as promised that we would have "everything" we needed. When we called the front desk to tell the staff that there was no microwaves in the room, the staff told us "So, you don't need a microwave in the room anyway. We do not allow microwaves in the room!" I asked what can we do about a microwave then, as we have food that needs warmed, the lady said that we could walk all the way back down to the office (they put us at the futherest end of the motel), and we could use their microwave for a couple of things to warm up. There are three of us, a "couple" of things warmed up will not last long & we were told that "we better not disturb" them after hours. (After 12 midnight) So, we just ate at a place nearby. Most of the motel was empty & our room was dirty. Stains on top of stains & smelled moldy. We spent the first night & the following morning, we were told that we could NOT stay in the afternoon, because they wanted ti paint the room, therefore forcing us to leave in the afternoon. When we did cooperate & leave, for the afternoon, we came back & no painting was done anywhere. It's a really good thing that we took EVERYTHING we owned with us, because my guess is they wanted to search our belongings for things that they could steal. After we came back & spent the 2nd night there, this is what happened next- there is an extremely heavy set man, who either owns or just works at this property, he runs around the place wearing dirty shorts & his belly hangs out over the top of his shorts & shows at the bottom of his dirty t shirt. This guy was waiting outside our room for when we brought our dogs out to use the restroom. Once we opened our door, this man had a poodle that he instigated to bark at our service dogs. Our largest service dog, black lab, barked back at the annoying little poodle. At which time, our small service dog, Chihuahua, pulled her leash to go running for the poodle (to play), as our smaller dog is a comfort animal, not assistance animal, yet they are both still service animals, for our disabilities. No damage nor hurt was done at all. The heavy set man (staff em0loyee & I think owner of property) screamed at my son that he wanted to see my son in the office immediately. My son is a grown man & my son had been the one to pay for the room. My son went to the office to talk with this guy. At which time, this guy told my son that our dogs are NOT service dogs, because if they were then our dogs would not have done that. This guy then told my son that we have to get out immediately & then refused to give my son his money for the time that remained. So, we were stolen from & we were instructed, even though we rented for three consecutive nights, that we could not stay in the afternoon. These people treat their customer like we just checked into a prison. They were extremely rude & it is a felony to trear disabled & our service animals, in this manner. Do yourself a favor, avoid this place. Just read the other reviews, no one likes this place & no one likes rude, mean, provoking people. Like this place has. They are nice, at the time to reel you in, but after you give them the money. It then changes & you get treated like scum of the earth & they don't even have a heart for the disabled, so I doubt if they would treat...
Read moreI called in advance to find out if the pool was open. They said yes. I asked if they had an atm because they want a cash 100$ deposit they said no but in fact their is one right outside the office. Being stranded in California for xmas due to our delayed flight back home because of the stormy weather my daughter and I decided on this hotel for the pool and the fun that a hot tub and pool offers. I was also looking forward to the free breakfast but I was very disappointed that the pool was actually closed with a 🔐 lock and I had to call multiple times to remind/get someone to open it for me. Then I was very upset to find the pool and hot tub was actually ice cold. So we ended up locked inside a room with no fun amenities. Decided to call the next day to see if anything had changed in terms of the pool temperature, well it turns out the pool was now warmed up but closed at 6pm on xmas day because the hot tub pumps didnt work. The coffee and juice offered at the office was ok except the juice is too concentrated and their was no coffee, sugar nor cream..today their was coffee and sugar but no stirring sticks nor cream.I must say this is the worst hotel experience I have had. The customer service was ok (not the best) but yesterday having to call multiple times to remind the office lady That I wanted to check in on the pool temp and hopefully hop in the pool to only to find out (once she did show up an hr later to unlock it) that it was closed and it definitely upset me but I played it cool. Not to mention the fridge that didnt work in the room. No coffee maker in the room, no microwave, no breakfast, no pool...it definitely felt like I got cheated out of a great experience. Im definitely not going to come back. Id rather pay for the amenities promised than to pay for a cheated experience. I feel I got cheated out of the pool, out of the breakfast, out of a comfortable comforter/bed, out of what could have been a fun holiday experience. So if you are booking this hotel for the pool, or for the breakfast offered... I wouldn't. Do Try it on a day to day basis (maybe things change) but dont book 3 nights in a row and in advance like I did because there are no refunds. It was definitely a waste of money and time. I would also note that the floors were really dirty and dusty, you have to ask for the extra hand and pool towels and you have to pay for the ice. Thanks Americas Best Value but It was definitely not actually the best value for my buck. I feel it is...
Read moreWell I've stayed here quite a few times. Cleanliness is good with the occasional missed spots in the shower that was overlooked. One thing I have actually noticed is that , correct me if I'm wrong, but this hotel charges a deposit if and when whoever is at the front counter feels like. The times I have stayed, I have paid through a 3rd party , showed up and they don't tell me I have to pay a deposit. Two other times they have asked me to pay . Funny thing is that the times they have asked me to pay have been the times when I have shaved my head and dressed for summer weather (shorts, t-shirt) the other times when they don't tell me about the deposit I have worn a hat, jeans and dress shirt hmmm.... Sounds like profiling to me . Don't believe me, give it a try and see for yourself. Try having your gf be the one who makes the reservation and goes to the counter and watch how they don't charge the deposit. To be fair, this isn't the only hotel that I've done this test to and also have noticed the differences whether or not they will charge you a deposit based on how you're dressed and gender . I have not returned to this hotel after this experiment. UPDATE: Replying to hotel response, well than your staff doest follow "policy" as it should. Once again, I HAVE tested my theory repeatedly and I am correct and your hotel isn't the only one that does...
