You all are NOT pet friendly at the Bellevue Factoria location!!!! I was just at the Gaithersburg location for about a month due to selling my home and relocating to Seattle/Bellevue. I paid the $300 fee for both pets there. I just arrived from Maryland yesterday and checked in Friday evening. Didn’t get a good nights sleep due to the music blasting outside and late night activity. Received a call mid afternoon from the front desk saying my dogs were barking since 5 am. Big lie because I was in the room; then she changed it to 7 am. Lie bd side I was in the room. Said I didn’t report my dogs or paid. I told them I thought since I paid the $300 already, I thought it transferred over. Told them to go ahead and charge me the $300 again with the card on file. Said I needed to come in and pay. I said no problem. I felt very harassed by the front desk person and she just kept badgering me causing me a great deal of stress. I asked for the manager. Said she wasn’t in. Manager then called me back only to defend the person I spoke to and not hear my concerns. Lied saying they have abandoned dogs in my room and she was going to call animal control. Total harassment and abuse of power. Said her rules are that I can’t leave the dogs in the room and I must always take them with me. NO ONE does that. I asked if that’s an extended stay policy because it wasn’t with the other location. She said she makes the rules for her location. She told me I had until 9 pm to leave or she’s calling animal control. Again, abuse of power; retaliation; harassment; making false claims. My dogs are NOT barkers. They are in a new setting; just lost their dog sister just 2 1/2 months ago to a tragic death in front of them. They are still grieving and to then go through this is very upsetting. I reached out to a contact to learn that the manager made false claims under my profile defaming my character trying to prevent me from being able to use their facilities. I’m a 55 year old black professional female and have never experienced such bad treatment. Totally unprofessional and very harassing. I asked others what they do with their dogs when they need to run erands or work. They said the dogs stay in the room. As I was leaving, I video taped a dog excessively barking outside two fooors down. My dogs never chimed in to bark. Extremely loud music from several cars; just different standards for me. Did NOT have this experience at any other locations that I have stayed at over the years; retaliation. NOT dog friendly! Beyond unprofessional. The manager’s response shows her lack of customer service & professionalism. Her and her staff created so much distress I forgot my other dog’s cremation ashes and have not called me back. I have been stressed daily. They made me rush out saying they will call the police and animal control if I wasn’t gone by a shirt subdue of time. Abuse of her position. And, continued slander towards me and she’s made it personal because reading all of the other reviews, she was apologetic and empathetic. Defamatory remarks which were lies. This has...
Read moreDon't stay here. Housekeepers will bust open the door on you while you are sleeping. They knock but don't even mention who they are. I refused Housekeeping because they decided to move my belongings in the closet area to vacuum and move my toothbrush above the toliet. Also, washing my personal dishes with my own soap with a disgusting black filthy sponge. If you decide to extend you are treated like a 2 year old. Having to do room inspections. Not my fault others sneak in animals, do drugs in the room, smoking, or sneak people in. You'd think after being there for a full year that room inspections would be exempt after some time. Nope manager decided I will have weekly room inspections because I refused Housekeeping. I think you have bigger things to worry about then someone who paid early, kept the room in good condition, only asked to be left alone as I worked 14 hour night shift. Nope. I walked past many people who propped there doors open smoking as I walked past. I did report them but nothing ever happened. Yet the manager was so concerned of me refusing Housekeeping then those people smoking in the rooms. Make that make sense 🤷♀️ If you did work Night shift don't expect to sleep well. Housekeeping will bust open the doors. Notices on the door for routine maintenance with less than a 24 hour notice, yet they refused to accommodate a time that would work for you. Leaf blowers every Wednesday morning that are super loud. Walls are super thin.
I'd say majority of the front desk workers are rude. A lot of turn over within the year. I can see why especially if I had to work under management there. Don't expect more then 1 roll of toliet paper as they make you seem there giving away free money by giving you two rolls. When changing out linens you must bring your old ones to the office. Yet they never give a full set if towels when replaced.
I did voice my concerns to corporate as the manager decided to wake me up at 11am for a to put me on the housekeeping list without telling me. Who screamed at me over the phone for refusing Housekeeping and demanded I give her a day for weekly Housekeeping. Yet my work schedule changes every week. Telling me she will not accommodate me. It must be nice to have a job where you leave by 5pm and not work weekends. Or better yet where you never show up to work ever. Half the time your employees never new when she'd show up. But picks on an innocent person for no actual reason. I'm sure if the tables were turned you wouldn't like someone speaking to you as you did to me. Oh and let's not forget calling and busting open the door at 11pm cause I'm sure you're sleeping then too. I'm so glad to be done with the travel assignment to get away from this crappy extended stay! Do yourself a favor and get an airbnb before staying here. Not worth the headache...
Read moreWe recently spent a month in Bellevue and stayed at three different hotels: Larkspur Landing (booked directly), Red Lion, and Extended Stay America (booked through Booking.com). Sadly, Extended Stay America was the most expensive — yet provided by far the worst experience in almost every aspect.
We would like to share the following specific and factual concerns from our stay:
⸻
Misleading Breakfast Description • On the first morning, there were no muffins — only coffee and a few leftover granola bars. • On the second morning, muffins were finally available, but they were extremely small, barely bite-sized. • There was no designated breakfast area, only a small counter in the lobby. When we asked staff about the missing items, the response was simply, “Running out,”with no apology or effort to restock.
This fell far short of even basic expectations and was completely inconsistent with the listing.
⸻
Empty and Misleading Kitchen Setup • The room included a “customizable kitchen,” but it was entirely empty on arrival — no cookware, dishes, utensils, or even a drinking cup. • There was no toaster, no coffee maker, and no supplies. Guests had to go down to the lobby and request each item, then bring it back themselves. • Calling this a functional kitchen is misleading at best and deceptive at worst.
⸻
Minimal and Poorly Designed Bathroom Amenities • The bathroom included only two thin bars of soap and a single, very small tube of shampoo — about the size of a thumb. • There was no conditioner, no body wash, and no other basic toiletries. • The shower curtain was too short, making it difficult to shower without water spilling all over the bathroom floor.
⸻
Severe Noise Problems – Poor Sound Insulation • The walls were extremely thin. Every morning, before 7:00 AM, we were woken up by the sound of water and showers from the adjacent room. • The poor soundproofing made restful sleep impossible, and this was the worst among the three hotels we stayed in.
⸻
Poor Maintenance and Cleanliness • Trash bags provided in the room were extremely thin and tore easily. • Spider webs and open, unemptied garbage bins were seen in the stairwells — clear signs of poor upkeep and lack of attention to cleanliness.
⸻
Final Thoughts
This was our first time staying at an Extended Stay America property, and unfortunately, it left a very negative impression. We don’t know whether this experience reflects the standard of the entire chain, or if this particular location is especially poorly managed. Either way, it raises serious concerns.
Quite honestly, this was one of the worst accommodations we’ve ever experienced — even compared to Airbnb listings we’ve stayed at...
