Worst experience EVER!!!! I went to check in and had to wait 30 min because no one was at the desk despite me yelling a couple of times. The rooms were okay. Bedding was horrible. I immediately noticed a bug on the wall. I got into bed and there was trash under the blanket. My daughter then noticed another bug. Every room has a hair dryer the site says so I washed my hair fully expecting to be able to dry it before going out into the cold with a wet head. No dryer. I called my mom who had booked a room near me to borrow her dryer. No dryer there either!! I called the front desk several times and it rang and rang for about an hour with no answer. Finally got an answer, and was told there were no dryers available, but yes there was suppose to be one in the room. No ironing board either despite the advertisement..though not a big deal as I don't iron often. Went to the desk the next day and the lady was rude and yelled at my child for touching the bar. Told her not to climb on it.. though she was just touching it. Went to the desk the next day and again there was no one there for quite a few minutes. The toilet had clogged and I could not get an answer on the phone. I was there for 9 days and when I finally go an answer, I was told there was no one to fix it.. so I had to leave it that way for the remainder of my time, neither of the burners worked so I had to order out every night (I don't like to complain much, but at this point I was fed up) I reached out to Hotwire, which was who I booked through. Remained on the line for 30 minutes while she tried to reach the hotel. She came back and apologized that she was unable to reach anyone there also. Other than that, the halls on the 3rd floor smelled like marijuana which often leaked into my room. I overheard people fighting and yelling while my children were asleep about 2 am. Room service every week???? Never seen anyone cleaning rooms the whole time I was there.. certainly not mine. My mother was in the room across the hall and validated all of this also. As did a couple of visitors. I reached out to the manager three times. The first two times he said he was looking into it. The third time he said he was doing nothing about it because he had been there all of that week and I had said nothing to him. First of all, I seen him twice while I was there and wasn't at the point of complaining yet. I will never stay here again...
Well booked again through Hotwire so I didn't know what hotel I was getting until it went through. Got this one again and they do not refund or change. I got there and he said I needed to pay, but I already paid online. After a few moments of disagreeing.. I showed him the email that said I was charged and he gave us a room, but said the manager would need to talk to us the next day and he would leave him a note. We got there at 5 am and desperately needed sleep. The fire alarm went off a couple of hours later.. it was a FALSE alarm and didn't get turned off for atleast 30 minutes. I have a toddler so this wasn't fun. I overheard a lady saying it had gone off 3 times since she had been there. That night we heard people yelling. The next morning a dog constantly barking. Then at 11:30 pm, (waking up my toddler) the manager tried to just walk in the room. He said it was suppose to be vacant. That it didn't show anyone was in there and I needed to pay for the room or vacate. After disagreeing.. he left to check and came back saying he saw where I booked it, but that he had not got any of the money. I showed him my email where I was charged. He left again to go see what was going on. By this time I had called Hotwire and had them on the phone. He came back a third time and said I had booked and only paid for Sunday-Thursday so I STILL had to pay for that night or vacate. I had the lady on Hotwire on the phone who told him he was wrong. I booked and paid for the days I was there. Monday-Friday. (I wasn't even able to get there until Wednesday, but paid Monday and Tuesday anyway), finally he realized he wasn't winning when the Hotwire lady &...
Read moreI paid BEFORE I realized what I would be dealing with. This place is disgusting. They say if you pay for a week you get housekeeping once a week. I was there three weeks, couldn't get a refund, and my housekeeping, consisted of me complaining once a week to the front desk and begging for the house cleaning card to change my own sheets, clean my own toilets and take out my own trash, vacuum my own room. How bad does it have to be when you are willing to clean your own room and have to fight to get chemicals to do so because this particular hotel won't make people do their jobs? I just want clean sheets and a clean toilet and a clean floor to walk on. I'd like something to scrub the bathtub and Kyle, the night clerk here at Bentonville, refused to even contact management or give us corporate information. Not only should you NOT stay here unless it's an EXTREME Situation, I'd also recommend that this company actually HIRE some house cleaners, train them properly and if someone wants clean towels, clean sheets and a clean environment and YOUR Employees are not willing to provide that and you refuse to allow the guest to clean their environment Expect TONS of Horrible reviews like this one. Human's aren't pigs, don't expect them to stay or sleep in nasty places. I've included TONS of photo's, from the elevator, to the stairwell, to the room itself. When you as a guest can't get a refund to go to a better hotel and your staff, like night-shift Kyle, refuses to help in any way to get a guest clean towels or sheets or even trash-bags to you as a guest can clean your own room you don't belong in the hospitality business. Your staff is absolutely horrid and this location should be closed down by a health inspector. WORST Stay EVER! If this is how Home Towne Suites shows their standards, they deserve an F, No Effort and Not a hint of even caring. This place is gross and I feel filthy for having stayed. It's a mistake I'll NEVER make again. I need to bathe in clorox after this visit, wonder what kind of diseases are just lurking around on the filthy sheets at this point. Stayed December-January for the Holiday of 2016-2017. If you can't keep your guests in clean rooms, at the least offer them the ability to do your job and clean it themselves. After 5 days of no clean towels and no clean sheets, and no clean toilet and trash piling up since the last time I cleaned the room myself I have had it. Hopefully this review will help others decide on a humane place to stay with properly cleaned units. Signed Disgusted in...
Read moreWe booked two nights at this hotel for when we moved and our apartment wasn’t set up yet. When we got to the room, it was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. First of all, there was feces splatters inside the toilet as well as outside. The room also smelled AWFUL. The bed was really uncomfortable, I barely slept at all. They also gave us a handicap room which was impossible for the kids to shower in cuz water would go everywhere. When we tried to get a hang of someone at the front desk, they weren’t responding so we went to sleep as we arrived in the middle of the night after a long drive with the kids. When I went to the front desk in the morning, the lady was not cooperative and said she couldn’t help and I would need to speak to a manager. I was told I would get a call back from her which I never did and it’s been a year. I had a feeling I wasn’t going to get a call back so I called 4-5 times even though I had to unpack. She was also “busy” or “not at work.” I asked to have the room changed and they said we booked a handicap room even though we showed them that we did not. We asked for a refund for the second night because they couldn’t give us a room that we had booked and we were not refunded either. Our experience was SO BAD that we left the next morning after spending one night and took our stuff so we didn’t have to return. We paid over $100 per night and I expected to at least have a clean place to rest but this was not it. We had stayed at another hotel when we came before we moved and it was a similar price and it was a clean place. I felt like we were ripped off and I didn’t appreciate the lack of understanding from the people at the front desk.
PS. When we arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night, there were a couple police cars and the place felt really sketchy. We were tired, we had payed and couldn’t really go anywhere else in the middle of the night with two kids so we stayed.
PS 2. It was so bad that I remember it even a year later. Didn’t leave a review earlier because I was busy unpacking and settling in but I remembered today...
