The hotel attempted to bill me 2x. I paid through the Hilton app choosing one of the pay up front rates. On the day of the stay, the hotel attempted to charge my credit card again for the night rate & at a higher rate than I got when I initially paid. Luckily my credit card flagged it, so the money was not removed from my account. I'm sure it would have been a fight to get it back had it gone through. In addition, this issue meant I was also unable to use the app to check-in and out. In fact, when I tried to check out, I was told I had a balance for this 2nd charge of the nightly rate. It took a manger coming to look through things to figure out that I had prepaid. He said it does not show up as paid because of the way the prepaid reservations are sent to the hotel. This should never be an issue when a customer is booking directly through the Hilton app. I am curious how often customers are double charged for this reason. You would think a prepaid rate guaranteeing money prior to arrival, with no refund options, would be the most financially safe option for Hilton, an therefore not be a problem when transferring reservation to hotels, but I guess not.
On top of all the payment issues, this hotel was just not up to the standards I have come to expect from other Hampton Inn's. The room's ac was not turned on before I arrived, therefore it was hot and musty. The bathroom floor had paint splatters all over it, and a toilet that continuously ran unless you literally pushed the flapper up after each flush. Lastly, the breakfast selection was very limited, only pepper filled omelets and sausage, and muffins as a bread option. No fruit, no cereal, no waffles, no toast (the typical things you find at Hampton Inn's).
On the up side, the water pressure in the shower was probably the best I have ever found in a hotel, and the breakfast attendant was...
Read moreI had a courtesy block of 15 rooms for this hotel for my wedding, and was instructed that I must cancel any remaining rooms not booked a month before the wedding date. I called 2 months in advance to cancel these rooms, and was notified that all rooms were filled and no rooms needed to be canceled and that my card on file would be removed from the account to ensure I would not be charged. I then called again one month out and was notified of the same thing, that my card had been removed and all available rooms in my block were filled. Fast forward to the morning before my wedding day, and I had a $400 charge for 2 rooms my uncle booked, charged to my account. I called and was notified by Kenny that I would be refunded within 48 hours, and that they again removed my card from the account and this would not happen again. The next day, on my WEDDING DAY, and I had over $2,500 worth of charges for every single room on my card. I tried to talk to the hotel desk and got nowhere, tried to talk to corporate who said only the individual hotel could cancel the charges. The following morning, I went to the hotel in person, mind you all while I just got married, and I’m still dealing with this. Spoke to the manager who said she would try and speak to corporate to get this cleared up. Luckily, the $2,500 charge did not go through, but took 4 days before it was resolved; however, the first 400 dollar charge went through on my card which took over a week of back and forth with my uncle, myself, and the hotel to get resolved. Do NOT use this hotel for room blocks. You’d think planning a wedding would be the most stressful part, but dealing with this incompetence was by far the worst part of it all. I never even stayed here! This was all just a...
Read moreTHIS IS NOT A HAMPTON INN, this is a poorly run property with Hampton Inn signage. I've been staying with the Hampton Inn Brand for about 20 years now, and this property is the absolute worst I can recall. There was absolutely nothing going on when you enter from the main entrance, no music, lighting, nothing. The front desk associate had a large yellow stain on his shirt and when he checked me in was not very friendly or talkative but, in fact he seemed annoyed when I arrived at that moment. He said very few words, didn't acknowledge my Hilton Honors tier status and didn't mention about breakfast. Just told me my room number and put 2 blank key cards on the counter and pointed to the hallway the room was in. We get into the room and the room is utterly disgusting. Both the couch and desk chair had pretty ugly stains on them. Even the floating shelf on the wall in the bathroom was missing with the mounting hardware exposed. Only 2 towels when there are usually 4 sets of everything. My wife and I were not at all comfortable staying there, so we woke up early to get on the road. I tried to check out around 0400 and a staff member was not available. I tried calling the property and the phone rang and rang. I also couldn't check out on the app as the hotel was not set up for it. I ended leaving a note on my key card about checking out. 30 min after I left, the hotel called and offered apologies about no one being available and confirming my check out. It's my opinion, that the owner is interested in pinching pennies as opposed to providing the quality of the Hampton Inn brand. This property was about 30% cheaper than other Hilton properties in the area, I now fully...
