Bob Evans — Restaurant in Berkshire Township

The parking lot being empty on a Friday night should have been a red flag, but we didn't think about it. The restaurant had maybe 10 tables when we walked in. We stood at the door for awhile as the manager and hostess went back and forth on where to seat us and which severer was say last. The sat the couple behind us in line while they figured it out. The waitress was very nice, but absolutely terrible at her job. She got 4 out of 5 orders wrong. She did tell us at the beginning that she would forget everything. Man was she telling the truth. She forgot everything we asked for while ordering. We had to constantly ask for most of our stuff. She even argued with my husband that you don't get butter with the bread when he asked where it was (it was for the corn 🤦), then looked at her book and said yes you asked for extra butter I'll go get it. He asked for no gravy on the potatoes, but she put no gravy on the country fried steak. I asked for broccoli and she gave me carrots. The list goes on. We had to ask for our soup we ordered and my husband never received his fruit/chicken salad plate until they brought his messed up meal. The wait for food was pretty long for there being no one in the restaurant and they still couldn't get it right. The manager flew past the table and asked how things were, but never stopped to listen to the reply. He didn't really seem to care, and the quality of the restaurant reflects that. Let me first say that my family has been loyal customers for years and until today loved visiting and enjoying our meals at Bob Evens. Today my husband, my son and I decided to have breakfast at our local Bob Evens (36/37 location) when we arrived we were escorted to a table after I requested a booth.. we waited 10 minutes before anyone came to our table (after my husband waved a waitress over) just to order our drinks then we waited 20 minutes until again my husband waved another waitress over and politely ask for our drinks..when we received our drinks another waitress came over and took our order..we waited another 20 minutes for our food to be served to us by a different waitress..our food was cold by the time it was served...my husband had ordered coffee and only received one refill and had to wait 10 minutes to get that...after everything we went to pay with an electronic gift card and the waitress behind the counter did not know how to do an electronic gift card so at this point my husband was very irritated so we paid in cash..our bill was over $35.00.. I have personally worked in a restraunt and I completely understand that times get busy but there was not a lot of customers at the time of our visit so I wonder if the service we received or lack of service is because we were put in the corner and forgotten..this...

This is theeee worst ever. Standing waited to be seated like 10 min. Manager apparently is the only one who can seat people. He’s too busy talking to the cook and the waitress. I’m still standing waiting to be seated. I ask the waitress do we just seat ourselves since the manager just walked in the back. She says I have to wait for the manager. And I use that term loosely. Still waiting 10 people walk up to the cash register. This dude starts taking their payment and all are paying individually and it’s 2 different parties.Then the lady paying starts walking around picking up candy to buy and asking him prices. Again here comes to the cook from the back discussing pricing. It takes 3 people apparently to ring people out. The cook the mgr and the waitress. I’m like dude seriously. He gives me an irritated look. Still says nothing. Another couple comes in behind us. No acknowledgment for them either. One lady walks out and tells us she waited over an hour for their food. The couple walked out. Finally, I’m like that’s this guy is a jerk and we walked across to KFC. We have an 8 hour trip home and did not want fast food. Guess Ya’ll want this place to close as well. Its shame cuz its a great location and in front of 3 hotels. Oh and the KFC lady stated they get people in there all the time complaining about the place. So...
