Roadside Eats — Restaurant in Bethel

We're supporting local restaurants through Door Dash. We ordered from here last night. Found it through Door Dash. I ordered the Texas Dog, onion rings and a raspberry shake. The dogs are foot longs, juicy and lightly browned. The bacon was in 1/2" and smaller pieces, well cooked, no under cooked fat. The chili was slightly spicy with enough sauce to keep it together but not running down the arm. The onion rings are sliced onion, not preformed, good batter and fried just right. Browned with onion done to a light crisp bite. The raspberry shake is truly raspberry with little chocolate bits. Funny, I thought the bits were seeds or something so I was taking them out of my mouth and placing them aside to plant them today. LOL When I went to rinse them for planting, I found out they were chocolate. Had I known, I would've enjoyed the shake more. We've added the Palace as a place. Code for definitely order again. So hot dogs are great! Fries good! Haven’t had a milkshake there in quite a while so can’t judge those. So tried a patty melt and almost puked it was definitely frozen and way over cooked and no love I feel into it barely any cheese and like a hockey puck! The chili needs work I can make a chili better with my eyes closed. Why open under new management and destroy it! It should be so much better!!! Very disappointed and can’t believe that they would serve such poor food!! I will buy it for a $1 if you are interested cause seems like no love is being put into it. You will fail. So disappointed!! Better step up your game cause it could be so much more!!! Very sorry to put this out there but can’t believe this staple is being treated the way it is!! 3 stars cause the dogs are still good...

The hot dogs were average but the service is wonderful which is why I added stars this review. Prices are fantastic. A foot long with generous toppings here is as much as a regular, skimpy dog at some other local dog places (Demnos, Botsford). I had a vanilla shake which was traditional and delicious-not too thick that I couldn't drink it and nice flavor of the real vanilla ice cream. The man who cooks (I think he is the owner) and the young lady behind the counter where genuinely nice and welcoming. I will be back to try other items like the burgers or loaded dogs.
