For our stay in Bisbee, Arizona, we had the privilege of booking a unique, vibrant, and beautiful motel called The Jonquil Motel. This historic motel, originally built in 1937 by John Quill, has been serving travelers for over 80 years, and its vintage charm is truly inspiring. The wife of John Quill worked at the motel in her nineties. With its wonderful neon signs, fantastic mural on the side of the building, spacious back area for guests, and eye-catching color-changing phone booth in the front courtyard, this motel is a true gem. At check-in, the front desk agent was not only professional but also warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Her kindness, empathy, and great attitude are a shining example of what makes a successful front desk agent. The motel room itself was beautifully decorated in a vintage style, with modern amenities such as a mini fridge, microwave, and electric kettle. The room was comfortable, with a large bathroom and a shower that still maintained its original charm. The motel is conveniently located minutes from The Historic Downtown District of Bisbee. Parking was conveniently located on the side of the motel, and while it may require a short walk to the rooms, it's a small price to pay for the opportunity to stay in this incredible vintage motel. With its rich history, beautiful decor, and outstanding service, The Jonquil Motel is a true inspiration and a must-consider for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable experience. Unfortunately we were not able to extend our stay at the motel because they are sold out for Friday. However we have another motel book. We will also give you information on that motel.

This motel is cute but older with an eclectic outdoor area. We stayed in the two bedroom suite. The beds are comfy, the bathroom is so tiny there's barely room enough to turn around, as well as no counter space and only one towel rack. For a night or two it's fine, but more than that would be difficult, especially with 3 people. My biggest complaint is the pet policy. Yes, it's "dog friendly" but upon check in we were told the dogs are never to be left alone in the room. This completely limited what we could do in town as we could only go to restaurants with an outdoor patio and couldn't do the mine tour or other indoor activities. Yes, we could walk around with the dogs but it was 100 degrees so not really safe for them and sitting on patios for lunch and dinner in the heat was nearly unbearable. Had i known we couldn't leave the dogs alone, we probably would not have booked this place. Better would be having a pet deposit and paying for any damage instead of forcing upon us limitations on our trip to Bisbee. We did enjoy spending time in the back outdoor area with the dogs in the evening.

If you’re heading to Bisbee, The Jonquil Motel is the place to stay, and owner Eva Rupert is the heart of it all. She’s mastered turning livable into lovable! My stay in #7 - The Casita - was cozy and peaceful-with its own private carport. The mural in the parking lot welcomes you and immediately connected me to the place. The enclosed one acre backyard became the perfect gathering spot for our large group of 20 friends to gather around a campfire—Eva even joined in! The location is ideal, just steps from a convenience store and a short stroll to food, entertainment, and Bisbee’s amazing, eclectic, and utterly fun art scene. Eva’s genuine warmth and high spirit along with the casita’s charm make this a must-stay spot in Bisbee!

Nestled in the picturesque town of Bisbee, this quaint and charming older motel presents itself as a delightful stopover for travelers seeking a peaceful retreat. The motel exudes a nostalgic charm that harks back to simpler times, offering a stay that's warm, welcoming, and distinctively friendly.

From the moment you arrive, the helpful and amiable staff greet you with genuine smiles, eager to assist and share their extensive knowledge of the area. They are a treasure trove of information about local activities and dining spots, ensuring that visitors get the most out of their stay in Bisbee.

This motel might be older, but it's maintained an enchanting personality that many travelers find endearing. Despite showing slight signs of age, a bit of Tender Loving Care (TLC) would easily restore and enhance its natural allure. The rooms are cozy and clean, providing a comfortable environment for guests to unwind after exploring the vibrant town.

One of the hotel's notable features is its convenient location. Situated within walking distance of downtown Bisbee, guests have the luxury of easily accessing local shops, restaurants, and attractions without the hassle of long drives or parking woes. Speaking of parking, the motel offers off-street parking, a valuable amenity in this bustling area.

The tranquility of the setting is ideal for those seeking a quiet escape, with the serenity occasionally punctuated by the gentle hum of the town. This restful atmosphere makes the motel a perfect base for both relaxation and adventure.

In summary, this charming motel is a delightful choice for anyone visiting Bisbee. Its friendly staff, convenient location, and quaint appeal make it an inviting stop for travelers. While the establishment might benefit from minor improvements, its inherent charm and the sincere hospitality of its team more than make up for it. Visitors are sure to leave with fond memories and perhaps a touch of nostalgia for this...

This adorable, small motel is conveniently located just up the hill from|a few great restaurants, bar - -grills, little shops, St. Patrick's Church,|Superior Court and more. You can walk to these venues. Suggest driving to MAIN STREET to visit additional venues. |We stayed in Room # 7. This room comes with a small carport attached. |Our large Ford F150 4-door was too big to fit. No problem, parked in the adjacent MOTEL GUESTS ONLY gravel parking lot. The room has a mini fridge (it stays very cold), an electrical water kettle, Starbucks coffee packs, sugar, creamer, various packaged teas and stir sticks -- all enough for 2 people for about 3 days. Towels for 2 people for one night. |We used our provided set of towels for 3 days. (Hang up to air dry.)|The beds are pillow top and super comfy. The pillows are perfect!|WI FI is great --- never lost signal and fast connection. |This vintage motel is super cute and clean. Meet Norman the dog and give him a pet or two! Super friendly little guy. (Owner's resident pet.) |Only 7 or 8 rooms at this motel. BOOK EARLY. Very quiet area. In case of a munchie attack, Circle K is located right next door. Super cute small courtyard (by the office) to visit and enjoy your a.m. coffee. TELEPOEM PHONE BOOTH - how cute is that! Stop by this little gem and snap a pic!|This motel is NOT The Phoenician, by any means. But, it does boast a huge amount of charm and personality. Well done by Eva and Sterling, owners.
