GREAT Stay, comfortable, clean with a few nuances. 4 stars though||Marriott Titanium member here.. booked our stay through AA Hotels and even though we booked through that, the staff added my marriott number and provided the welcome gift (Water and snack).||LOCATION|the location is excellent - right near highway (but not too close that it kepts us awake) and the rail trail was great for walk/run while staying here..||ROOMS |the rooms are large (like back in the old days) and comfy |They are dated, and could use some updating however, the bed was comfotable, the couch is convenient and the bathroom does what it is supposed to do đ|HOWEVER, our AC was definitely not working and we mentioned it to the front desk before going out.. it was very warm over night (77-78) while it was hot outside.. but in the morning, perhaps someone fixed it outside the room as the AC seemed to kick on and our room got down to 69 right before we had to check out (of course)|If you stay in room 327 - check the AC first đ ||STAFF|the staff is AWESOME and they were very welcoming when checking in, through out or stay, but I will admit, this hotel is very busy and I waited to check out in person to make sure everything was good, but did have to wait about 10 mins and finially decided to just check out via the app - which is handy because the night staff added my marriott number.||BREAKFAST|My wife and I BOTH loved the breakfast. the coffee was good, the oatmeal and snacks were great and although busy (as expceted) it was very convenient and good.||WATER/WORKOUT Room|the gym is small but very adequate. |Although we prefered to use the trail - which is AWESOME, we did grab water from the water machine in the workout room and it is very conveniently located on the 1st floor.||SHOWER/WATER PRESSURE|this is my main thing when staying at hotels.. water pressure is king!|This one was ok.. the shawer head is the old marriott one and it was sufficient enough, but definitely on the lighter side.. so plan for an extra few minutes of shower time to get all that shampoo and soap out!|The soap, shampoo and conditioner pumps were filled and good stuff. it is a hotel but it does the job. |they are however located right in arm/elbow range so expect a bump or 2 when doing your duty.||RATE |Our rate was decent, but I will say. we stayed at a very nice marriott further south for almost the same rate and if I had the choice, and similar rates, would likely drive the extra 10-15 mins there as it is a resort style place.. review on that one coming and should be in my profile.|||Overall - 4 stars.. good stay, was comfortable,...
Read moreIâm writing this review in hopes that it reaches someone who, like me, relies on honest reviews when booking accommodations for their family. My family and I drove from Atlanta to Boca Raton for a 3-day basketball tournament and chose this hotel expecting a comfortable, reliable Marriott experience. Unfortunately, that was far from what we received.
When we arrived, the front desk staff was pleasant and the lobby area was nice. However, we were never notified at the time of bookingânor were there any clear signsâthat the hotel would be undergoing active remodeling during our stay. This should have been disclosed upfront. In fact, the hotel honestly should have been temporarily closed until renovations were complete.
We arrived around 9:15 Am on July 4th, hoping to get some much-needed rest after the long drive. That rest never came. From the moment we got to our room, we were met with extremely loud banging and drillingânonstopâwell past 6 PM on a holiday. It was overwhelming and completely unacceptable for a guest environment.
Then came Saturday, July 5th. At around 6 AM, the entire hotel was jolted awake by a blaring fire alarm. Guests rushed out of their rooms in confusion and fearâonly to find out that someone had burned breakfast, setting off the alarm. While accidents happen, the chaos and lack of clear communication from the staff made the situation worse.
After all of this, we just wanted a few hours of peaceâbut right after the alarm ended, the construction started up again. On a Saturday morning.
I went to the front desk to request a room on a different floor or some sort of accommodation. The clerk told me there was nothing she could do and referred me to the manager, Hope. I followed up with an email immediately, and as of nowâstill no response.
Iâve stayed at many Marriott locations and have never experienced anything like this. This was, hands down, one of the worst hotel experiences Iâve hadâespecially considering how much we were looking forward to this trip. If I donât receive a response or any kind of effort to resolve this issue, I will be contacting Marriott corporate to escalate the matter.
This stay was disruptive, exhausting, and a huge disappointment for my family and me. I hope this review helps others make a more informed decision.
Edit: Hope, Thank you for taking the time to respond to my review. However, I had reached out to you via personal email prior to posting it and would have appreciated a response there first. I hope we can still address the...
Read moreJulie needs to be fired immediately! Iâm a girl and was traveling alone. I booked and fully paid in advance for 2 nights after driving hours to finally get there in the middle of the night to my dismay I realized I forgot my credit card at home. Iâve stayed at hundreds of hotels all over the world and never have an experienced such horrible customer service as I did upon attempting to check in. The woman at the front desk had zero empathy and showed zero kindness and was not even trying to be helpful in finding a solution. I was desperately trying to find a solution offering anything I could think of I asked if they wonât let me in the room I already have paid for can I get refunded? She refused to help me with that which I later learned she absolutely could have because only the hotel can approve the refund. I also knew my card info by heart I asked if she could input it manually. I offered to change the reservation under my friends name if I could get them to come with their credit card she ignored that request I asked if someone else can book a room for me if I can get someone to come since it was late at night but I was willing to try anything because I had no where else to go. She offered zero help or suggestions of anything I could do to accommodate to situation. All she told me was that I can go sleep on the streets! She told a girl alone to go sleep on the streets. Thatâs how she treated a guest that had paid room there. And when I asked to speak to a supervisor she again refused and wouldnt even give me the mangers name. She seemed only competent enough to sell snacks to guests but anything else seemed to be too complicated for her to handle. In fact after arriving and speaking to her she at first wouldnât even address the situation at all until she asked me to let a bunch of people cut me in line and make me wait for her to help all of them with their snacks making me wait just for her to not even help me at all and tell me to go sleep in the street if I want to. Of course she knows no one wants to sleep on the street especially when they have a room they paid for. At least have the decency to tell the person the best way to go about getting a refund not just tell them go sleep on the streets. This woman never even once said sorry I canât help you. She does not belong anywhere near a...
