I am finally writing a review for Al Natour at Yamato blvd after visiting this place several times since it opened. I have been a long time customer of Al Natour (Fort Lauderdale) ever since they first opened and what kept them going was the amazing food and outstanding service. Despite the price hike, the quality of food and service never failed to impress. Unfortunately this isn't the case at their Boca Raton location. Every time I have gone to dine in, there are changes to this place. Food quality and taste has gone down, Prices went up, they now charge for credit card use and a fixed gratuity is already added automatically. The customers not only have to face the inconvenience of paying in cash but are now forced to pay a fixed tip even if it's a party of two. On top of that if you want extra sauce on the side, it's additional charge. It's like they are looking to find any way possible to get every dime out of their customer's pocket. And the worst part is their servers. Once food is served they forget about you. Normally once a server sees a regular customer they can make accommodation or get you something like extra sauce on the side but not here. They are trained to say NO to your face. Their new male servers really are terrible to be honest. This is NOT how you run business. Initially, I was glad this place opened on Yamato since it's closer to us but I'd rather drive to Fort Lauderdale than to come and dine on this location where customer first isn't the focus. It's Money First here. I know many families who had similar experience and have stopped going to Al Natour - Boca Raton. Don't ruin your dining experience by coming to this location because you will not get the quality of food and services you deserve. You are better off visiting their Fort...
Read moreUpdate - If you haven't visited Sheesh Grill, you're truly missing out! This is officially my favorite Middle Eastern spot. I recently ordered the grilled seabass with two sides, and it was absolutely divine—utterly delicious! Not only was the food amazing, but the prices are incredibly reasonable. I was shocked, in a good way, especially after paying $42 for grilled seabass at Kee Grill. The fish here literally melts in your mouth! My husband stuck with his usual, the beef and lamb kebab, which was also fantastic. Just a friendly reminder: this restaurant serves Middle Eastern cuisine, not Mediterranean. Highly recommend!
initial- Finally! A truly authentic Middle Eastern restaurant right here in Boca Raton – Shish Grill, tucked away like a hidden treasure near the train station. Forget "Mediterranean" – this is the real deal! We've been searching for years within a 10-mile radius, and this place delivers. The smoky flavor of their baba ganoush (prepared with actual smoked eggplant!) immediately signaled to us that this was a legitimate Middle Eastern experience (Syrian, Lebanese, Jordanian, Palestinian vibes). Growing up in the diverse culinary landscape of NY, I've learned to spot authentic flavors, from upscale dining to humble eateries. At Shish Grill, the tabouli is fresh, the baba ganoush is simply divine, and the fish platters (especially the snapper!) are bellissimo, lol! Seriously, you can't go wrong with any of their lamb or beef dishes. Oh, and their lemon-mint beverage? To die for! Highly, highly...
Read moreMy visit to Shish Grill was a fantastic experience that blended incredible food with a warm and inviting atmosphere. From the moment we walked in, the cozy decor and subtle Middle Eastern touches created a perfect backdrop for the meal. Soft lighting, comfortable seating, and a lively yet relaxed vibe made it an ideal spot for both casual dining and special occasions.
We started with the sampler appetizer, featuring creamy hummus, smoky baba ghanoush, fresh tabbouleh, and crispy falafel a perfect way to explore their variety of flavors. The beef shawarma and gyro shawarma were cooked to perfection, with tender, juicy meat seasoned to bring out the best of each dish. The mixed grill platter was another standout, showcasing their grilling expertise with a medley of perfectly cooked, flavorful meats.
For dessert, we indulged in their assorted sweets, including flaky baklava and rich knafeh, each bursting with authentic Middle Eastern flavors.
The staff were a highlight of the experience warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food. They took time to explain the dishes and ensured that every need was met with a smile, making us feel right at home.
Overall, Shish Grill is more than just a restaurant it’s an experience. With its incredible food, welcoming staff, and beautiful ambiance, it’s a place I’ll be returning to often. Highly...
