Gulf Pointe Resorts — Hotel in Bonita Springs

I've been coming to Gulf Pointe since I was 2 years old (almost 30 years now) it's always been our family's "go-to" vacation spot. We have plenty of fun memories and have enjoyed having our timeshare here. However, there are positive and negatives to this place. The negatives are all items that can easily be fixed by RCI and the onsite management team.

I'll start with the positives, the location and the price. You can't get a better location in Naples...on Gulf Shore Dr., right on the beach, quick walking distance to the Turtle Club, La Playa and Ritz Carlton. To own a timeshare at Gulf Pointe, is very reasonable. That being said, I'm sure all owners would be willing to pay a little more if the place were of better quality. The beach area...the tiki huts are great, lounge chairs with umbrellas are a nice touch and the landscaping is very well done.

The negatives, as mentioned before, are items that can easily be turned around. The furniture is old, sticky and faded. Investing in durable furniture would be appreciated. The comforters on the beds have been there for possibly over 10 years and the sheets are very thin, the carpets need to be pulled up in the bedrooms and replaced with tile. The bathrooms have poor ventilation. The decor around the building needs to be professionally done. The stairways and hallways have sticky carpet and need to be replaced with a non-slip hard material. The lighting in the hallways is dated and could use an update as well. There is no security on the property and it has a tendency to get quite loud & unruly during certain times of the year.

Because of my family’s history of coming to Gulf Pointe, we'll continue to spend vacations here. I hope to see this place turn around and start to live up...

Great view of the water, clean with some amenities. Small pool and no workout facility and not entirely kid friendly. Nice space for the money and great for a quiet today me on beach.
