We come here yearly. Always issues with the elevators. We arrived this Saturday one elevator down and the other now broken as well, we have been here for three days literally using the stairs !!||When we think the one elevator that was semi working is working, someone gets stuck and we have to call for help. When we mentioned to the maintenance department, their answer is "it's really not a big deal if somebody gets stuck" just call the fire department. How ridiculous is that we pay a lot of money to come here, that is not an answer or a response to a guest. There are two physically challenged/handicap women in this building currently that cannot come down because the elevators are not working. I had to cancel family member that was coming with a walker to spend some time here because there's no way for them to get up here. does anybody care in this place????? They seem to want to wait till there's an emergency to call the fire department so they can rescue their problem. Aren't we in some sort of violation if there's a fire issue or any kind of emergency ??? How do we get an elderly or disabled person down or out? the fire department will do it ??so I guess we have to wait if the building is burning for the fire department to get here and hope they get here quick enough to save people.??||Multiple guests that have been staying here are extremely upset. All they tell us is we called for help ?? for three days now.??? I understand if one of the elevators is broken, but the second one works when it wants to and you constantly have to be calling people to rescue people that aet stuck in there. || My husband's a diabetic, what happens if he would have gotten stuck in there and a fire department couldn't get here quick enough to open the door? This is extremely upsetting, but what is more upsetting is the answers that we are being given and the explanations.!! A whole week family vacation ruined because I can't get my elderly father and disabled sister utilizing a walker up or down. Can they move the guest to the other building?...
Read moreI stayed here in June and oh my gosh, there was one day where I had a killer migraine and I didn't know about the construction until jackhammers woke me up working on the unit above me! The work was being performed M-F from 8:30-4:00. It was horrible being in the unit during those hours! So I spent my time on the other side, used the pool and hot tub on the other side, played games with my kids and watched tv in the lounge, went shopping and/or spent time at the beach.||||I lead with this because I saw all the negative comments about the construction. I have stayed at this resort over 35 times in units on both the bay side and the gulf side. My family has multiple units/weeks and over the years of visiting during our stays, extended family and friends have also purchased weeks at this resort. This is a timeshare condominium, i.e. every week is owned by someone somewhere in the world. Each owner pays money every year and for every week they own in exchange for partial annual ownership of their week.||||One of the things I look forward to is getting to the resort and seeing what updates have been done. Most years, there's some new furnishing or renovation in the units. Some years there's something substantial that needs to be done in order to protect all the ownership interests in the condominium, such as resurfacing the exterior walls and concrete patios. ||||And I blathered and grumbled and complained this year (not to management because they don't have control over what updates the Association decides to do), but I know it will be done soon enough and next year there'll be something else that's new as well as a beautiful new facelift to all of the exteriors. ||||You should always check and see if construction is scheduled during your stay at any resort you visit, not just this one. Construction and other potential inconveniences are NOT the norm at this resort, AND they should be taken for what they are: improvements and updates to make the resort better and safer.||||I highly recommend this resort a...
Read moreThe gulf view rooms are perfect! Having a front row seat to amazing sunsets helped ease the disappointment in this resort. I had high hopes but was instantly disappointed at the very start. There was one person checking in all the guests who arrived between 3 and 5 pm causing a long line and wait outside in the Florida summer heat. Parking is limited to one pass per person and even then, it was hard to find a spot some days.||We were told there were 44 guest rooms and 65 parking spaces. These spaces also had to accommodate the staff working there. When it was suggested the staff park off premises and be shuttled to their cars at shift changes the receptionist whined "WE HAVE TO WWWWWORK HEEEERE". When a guest stated he paid to vacation here she said, "park at Publix (over a mile away)".||Overall, the location is great, but this is certainly not a four-star property. Have fun but don't expect many resort amenities and you will be fine. ||The rooms are nicely appointed, bathrooms have been renovated but furniture is a bit dated. The rooms are clean but cobwebs on light fixtures, dust on shades was noted. ||Kitchens are well stocked. It was nice having beach towels in the unit but unfortunately, you have to pay and order beach chairs in advance from a private business at $40 per day for 2 chairs umbrella and table. ||If you want to use the sauna, gym or shuffleboard you must do it when the office is open. Forget about anything after 5pm. There is no one there! Parties with music blasting until well past 11 pm were not discouraged, pools and hot tub area still open made it unpleasant in the rooms directly above the tiki hut area.||Staff...
