you’re just passing through, on a tight budget, or need a quick place to rest for the night—like a truck driver or someone not expecting luxury—the Super 8 in Bonne Terre, MO might do the job. The King Suite I stayed in was decent: the bed was neither too soft nor too firm, there were fresh towels, and the room itself was surprisingly spacious. The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. That said, this place definitely has some drawbacks that are hard to overlook. For starters, there’s no elevator, which isn’t ideal if you’re carrying luggage or have any sort of mobility issues—especially if you’re assigned a room on the second floor. You’ll be hauling your bags up the stairs, and possibly making multiple trips, which isn’t fun after a long day. Another issue I noticed was the nighttime activity in the parking lot. There seemed to be quite a bit of foot traffic, some of which appeared to be from homeless individuals wandering through. It didn’t feel dangerous exactly, but it definitely didn’t feel secure either. If you’re planning a longer stay, this might not be the most comfortable option. Overall, this hotel serves a purpose for short, no-frills stays, but it’s not the place for comfort, quiet, or extended visits.

Warning- COCKROACHES!! The people working at this establishment are helpful. I needed to make a change to my reservation, it was done with ease. I checked out early, no problem. I wanted a refund on the night I didn't stay- it happened. That is the only nice thing I can say about this hotel. There was a giant spider in the inside of the windowsill that my husband had to kill, a blanket covering the bed with cigarette burns, a bathroom floor that had someone's hair on it, the smell of cigarettes in the non-smoking room, and an outbreak of cockroaches that sent my husband and I checking out after our first night. When I checked out early, I told the front desk it was due to the cockroaches in the room. The man I spoke to was not surprised. He said, "yeah, the owner refuses to spend the money to fix the infestation". Disgusting. I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere for a place to stay. Our clothes permeate the smell of the room still, days later, and due to the infestation of cockroaches, all of the items packed for the trip are being washed and kept outside until I know that we did not pick up any hitchhikers. Very displeasing.

The guy who checked me in was very thorough, polite, and professional. And I am a smoker, so I got a smoking room with two queen size beds. But unfortunately, I also have a black lab with me who does not like vinyl floors or tile. And that room had just recently been vinyl floored. They swapped my room for a king size single with carpeting, so my dog would be more comfortable. The whole main level of the motel is being renovated right now. My new room passed the black light test. From what I saw I am in about the only room left on the main floor not being gutted and upgraded. It looks like they’re doing a great job. Renovating the main areas. The room I men’s has carpeting that seen better days, but I’m sure they’re going to be replacing it soon. I’m going to be doing a lot of work in the surrounding areas in the next couple months so I will be staying here a lot more. I would definitely recommend this to my friends.

At first, I was extremely excited to stay here because they allowed my pups to stay too, they were right down the road from my love, and they were reasonably priced and had an indoor pool. I reserved twice. Once for the end of March in one of the nicer King size smoking rooms with the hot tub which cost me a pretty penny (over $500) and then a room for 2-3 nights in a normal queen size smoking room. When I got there it was about 2-3am. The nighttime guy was standing outside with a few other people which were not guests but were visibility drunk and high and made me feel quite nervous. I had both my pups with me and made sure to ask the night desk guy if the rate for the dogs was on my room. And he stated that the room rate was already set up and whatever was on there was on there. And I said...ok. I even tried a second time to ensure that he knew I had my dogs with me. Moving on with my story. When I got to the room, I noticed that the sheets were dirty, the floor was ripped up the outlets did not work nor did they have face coverings on them, I caught a spark while trying to plug my phone into one of them. The chair was ripped up that I sat on. I pulled the covers off the bed and there were from what I could tell was a flea or a bed bug, I'm not quite sure but I ripped all the covers off and put them on the floor and then went over the entire bed to make sure there were no more bugs. The ice machine has something growing on the inside because every time I went for ice more than ice came out. The breakfast was, well let's skip that, it makes my stomach hurt thinking about it honestly. The pool was ice cold. The window was open, in the pool room so I shut that, and I prayed to God to warm up the pool. Interestingly it did seem to get warmer once I shut the window, and I did enjoy a nice long swim. The next day I was sitting next to the open window, smoking cigarettes (it IS A SMOKING ROOM), enjoying the sunlight having my coffee and getting ready to visit my love down the road when I got a pound on the door. I opened the door, and it was the manager/owner yelling in my face saying that I'm smoking weed in my room. Now you must realize something. I cannot medically smoke marijuana as I take very strong mental health medications via my psychiatrist for extreme depression, bpd, and anxiety. I could also submit to drug test, but they are expensive (over $250) I tried explaining to him that I was doing no such thing. That I was smoking cigarettes by the window while having my coffee, but he kept yelling for me to get out. He also stated that I was hiding my dogs. Which was a total lie! Because I checked in with them and even told the night desk man about them! I asked if he talked to the night man about them, he said no. I asked if he checked the cameras, and he said no. I phoned the police and had them come down to search my room and make sense of all of this. They sided with the owner, and I had to leave. I was visibly upset and bawled my eyes out. Every guest heard the confrontation and came out of their rooms, this was so embarrassing. I had 30 minutes to gather all my things and get out. I collected everything as fast as I could, cleaned up the room as fast as I could and got everything packed and left within the 30 minutes that he gave me. I gave him the key and left without further issue. I called later and asked him about the future reservation that I have for the end of this month. He stated that I’m never welcomed back and that he would be keeping my $550. Now I could do a few things. I could have gotten my drug test (over $250) and filed a civil suit (which I’m not sure how much that would have cost but probably not cheap) but I'd also have to travel back down there from Michigan to fight it. So, I decided to cut my losses for the whole thing. But I'm not going to silence my voice. And I'm determined to let the world know of the injustice that I faced with this hotel and this man specifically. And that's why I'm sharing my story...

so me and my two friends we booked a room here One night ago at about 3am because we needed somewhere to sleep for the night. we were in the room from about 3 AM till 10 AM and at about 9 AM my friend‘s boyfriend decided to come over too so that he could be with us when we left. They were there for max 2 hours. I got charged an extra $30 on top of the $76.55 that I already paid for hours prior for the room. It is outrageous. They are here for a money scheme. The room was never smoked in. The room was taken care of to be honest it is actually outrageous and crazy!!! A not being racist or anything, but the new owners that are now running the place are not Americans, they are Indians.I feel as tho he was doing the same thing that they would do when the scammers call your phone and they try to tell you about how you’ve done this this this and this and how they need money😒. The dude basically just tried to say that he hast to charge me for my friend‘s boyfriend being there for less than an hour and a half. He claims he has video footage, but it’s funny because if he actually had the video footage would show that they were only there for an hour and a half, max 2 hours. so I got charged an extra $30 just because my friend‘s boyfriends Came to the room for an hour and a half just so that we could all leave together. on top of that they have my card information so I’m just honestly scared that these people are going to try to take my money again. I just don’t understand I used to be a housekeeper. I kept that room clean nice and taken care of in the little time that we were there because it’s not like we were there for more than one day. We were there for maybe 7 hours. if you’re going there by yourself, you’ll be fine. I would just maybe make sure and watch your bank account or pay with only cash so that they don’t try to scam you just like...

If it's not an emergency like our situation I wouldn't even recommend this place to the bed bugs. Where to even start.. Let's start with the very few pros rooms are old and worn out but beds are comfortable enough, TVs are decent, the fridge and microwave did work as they should, rooms were pretty clean, breakfast was okay and the manager is nice and helpful when he finally arrived was told he would be there at 8am it was around 11am. Now for the cons AC in one of the three rooms we rented did not work we went to the front desk and they wouldn't even offer a new room so the people staying in that room moved into the other two rooms we had rented front desk told me that they would not refund the money for the unused non working ac room so I called corporate a little while later they changed their tune and we got a refund, pool looked dirty so we didn't even attempt it, Front desk worker never had shoes on nor was she very professional, ice machine wasn't working when we got there and was disgusting, curtains looked like they had been shot in one room and the other room they looked like they were half bleached, a couple down the hall were constantly yelling and screaming at each other and later on the police showed up to their room... I could keep going.. From now on I will ask to see a room before we pay...We were in an emergency situation and this was a last resort of...
