I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Boulder Broker Inn, and I must say, the improvements made to this establishment are truly impressive. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with a sense of freshness and renewed energy that immediately set the tone for a memorable stay.
The first thing that caught my eye was the striking new paintwork both inside and outside the hotel, it adds modern touch but also creates an inviting atmosphere. The attention to detail is evident, as every nook and cranny of the property seems to have been given a fresh coat, bringing out the best in its architectural features.
The investment in new carpeting throughout the hotel is truly commendable. Walking through the hallways and into my room, I was met with plush, soft carpeting that enhanced the overall comfort and cosiness of the space. Not only is it visually appealing, but it also provides a sense of luxury and warmth, making it a pleasure to traverse the hotel's corridors.
The staff at The Boulder Broker Inn deserves a special mention. Their dedication to providing exceptional service was evident from the moment I arrived. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was nothing short of outstanding. Their knowledge of the local area and willingness to assist with any queries or concerns made me feel right at home.
One aspect that truly stood out was the hotel's commitment to cleanliness and hygiene. In these challenging times, it was reassuring to see the rigorous measures in place to maintain a safe and pristine environment. The attention to detail in keeping all areas immaculate, from the lobby to the rooms, was truly impressive and contributed to my peace of mind throughout my stay.
In conclusion, The Boulder Broker Inn has undergone a remarkable transformation. With its fresh paint, new carpeting, exceptional service, and commitment to cleanliness, it has truly elevated the guest experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable, welcoming, and memorable stay. Well done to the management and staff for their dedication in creating a truly exceptional...
Read moreWe stayed at Boulder Broker Inn for 2 nights over Labor Day weekend for the Georgia Tech - CU game ( Go Jackets!!). We picked it for the price and the proximity to campus. It was about a 25 minute walk to Folsom Field. Our booking was through Expedia and was non- refundable.|| The lobby is attractive and inviting with a small coffee bar near the check-in desk. We only saw the doors to the big room and pool area open once. No one mentioned anything about that area so, based on other reviews, I assume it’s still closed ||Now the room…. Fourth floor facing the parking lot. On the plus side, heavy blackout curtains made the room super dark at night. The water pressure in the shower was great. The beds and pillows were comfortable.||On the negative side, which is extensive …. Exposed electrical outlets (no cover plate). Maybe one accessible outlets for charging devices. (Found one to plug into behind the bedside table into an expose outlet.) Dim lighting with old lamps. Literally threadbare carpet with subfloor showing through. Caulking issues in the bathroom, which had definitely seen better days. The towel bar fell off the wall the first time I pulled a towel off!! The only toiletries offered was one small tube of conditioner. The wall-mounted hair dryer worked briefly before shutting off. Moved it to the other outlet and managed to get the High setting to work sometimes. ||One major oversight, dare I say illegal, was the lack of any emergency evacuation procedures. Most hotels post these on the back of the door. Boulder Broker had absolutely nothing posted about emergencies anywhere. There was also no information about checkout times, WiFi, or nearby places of interest, restaurants, etc.||Overall, this is a rundown hotel with a lot of potential due to its proximity to CU. If you’re only staying a couple of nights, it’s passable - barely. Guess there’s a reason it was “only” $150 per night when other Boulder hotels run $300-$400 per night. Definitely don’t book here if you’re looking for a 3,4,or 5 star stay. Otherwise, roll the dice...
Read moreI prepaid for a 3-night reservation at this hotel the beginning of June for Parents Weekend at CU in October. It is now the night before my reservation and the hotel said they can’t honor the reservation. They didn’t refund the money; they just said they couldn’t honor the reservation. Of course, there are no hotels left in Boulder for this weekend, which means my wife and I have no place to stay. Clearly, the hotel sold our room to someone else and probably got more money for it at the last-minute.
You can’t trust this hotel so don’t waste your time or money. I should have trusted the many bad reviews when I made my reservation. Don’t make the same mistake.
10.12.2023 Update: The hotel responded so I wanted to update my review to include a response.
The hotel had changed management prior to me making the reservation. So, unless it has changed management again within the past four months, this is not new information.
Second, it has been over four months since I made the reservation and paid for the room in full. It is unacceptable to cancel the reservation less than 24 hours before check-in, as you should have been able to identify this well-before now. My reservation was non-refundable if I canceled it, which didn't leave me an option to change once I booked it. What is the penalty for you canceling it? None.
Finally, you don't know my situation, or the situation of any other person who reserved a room. So, you have no idea of the problems created. We can't attend CU Family Weekend now because there is no availability in Boulder, despite us planning the trip more than four months in advance. Are you offering to find us a place at the last minute? No. Are you offering to pay for any airfare cancellation fees? No. You are doing nothing to help with this weekend despite the mistake on your end. And, I seriously doubt it is common for hotels in the area to be overbooked and cancel rooms with less than 24 hours notice over...
