Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Boulder

Every once in a while the craving for ice cream becomes a temptation to willingly embrace rather than avoid. Such was my predicament the other day when I wanted an ice cream treat to take the edge off the afternoon heat. Enter Dairy Queen. Now I haven't had a banana split in quite a while, but that sounded like the perfect way to assuage my heat anxiety. The young man behind the counter was very courteous, took my order, and with the extra whipped cream I asked for just complemented a perfect summer day. There is something to be said about courtesy. And that is that it goes a long way to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty. The staff at Dairy Queen were quite friendly and that made my overall experience even more enjoyable simply because of their attitude. So for a summer treat that will certainly take the edge off the heat, I would highly recommend the Dairy Queen in Williams Square off 30th and Baseline in Boulder....

By far the most appalling service I have ever received. The two employees working that night appeared to be very high and were wearing completely soiled uniforms. After making my friend's Reeses blizzard and then mine, I politely asked the employee if she had cleaned the mixer in between, as I have a peanut allergy. She very rudely replied that she didn't and snapped that I should have said something before she made it, trying to make me feel guilty for her lazy corner-cutting. She carelessly cleaned the mixer by running it with a cup of water underneath, spraying it with chemical cleaner, and then barely wiping it off. Needless to say I did not end up eating that blizzard. There are PLENTY of other places to get ice cream in Boulder where you'll be greeted with kindness and good service, and I will never be returning to this Dairy...

My boyfriend and I had a very bad experience. As someone who worked in Starbucks, I would call this unsanitary. When we got out of the car, two men stared at us uncomfortably while getting out of the car. We ordered and got our ice cream. I also asked for a lid and the person put it on and said he couldn't due to the brownies. So, my ice cream melted. For my boyfriend, however the payment was declined multiple times before it went through. When we got home, I found A HAIR in my ice cream. Rude experience.
