If CU is going to continue to host events, they need to include ON THE INVITATIONS that they have a dumb bag policy. Or hey, check the bag policy before you come to our event or a sign outside the venue that says there’s a bag policy. I brought a bag with me to a high school graduation. It had snacks for my kid and my wallet inside, but because it didn’t carry a diaper in it, I could not bring it in. Oh you can use one of their lockers so you don’t have to walk all the way back to your car, but you’re going to pay $10 on credit cards only. Besides that, the staff was rude. Not just security, but the coordination staff. They just expect you to know what you’re doing and where you’re going in the stadium. Very poorly handled and I truly hope that the staff or someone important sees this review and takes note of it. If not, maybe it will save someone else like me, who was unaware that you can’t bring anything in the building except...
Read moreMy son had his graduation here. Not sure why cause his hugh scho is in Lakewood. This was far. The traffic was horrible. Took some time to get parked in the parking garage. Took even longer to leave. They have a clear bag policy which i get, nut really sucks. Especially if you have a diaper bag. Dont wear heels. The steps are steep and narrow. The big jumbotron in the center was helpful to see better. We were able to takr a car seat in but only agter having it approved. And let me tell you it was a hike from the parking garage to the entry. And careyung a car seat was horrible. There were a ton of steps which wpuld have been even worse with a stroller. Pluse you could never get a stroller to the seats. Yes i habe a highschool graduaye and an 8 week old. Sigh. The nicest thing was the janitor at the end that said i didnt habe to be in any rusb as i was nursing. Theu were shooing everyone out as fast...
Read moreI attend many basketball games here and this arena needs improvement. CU finally added railing for the many steps to the seats. I don't know if they ran out of money, but the hand rails are only for rows 10 and above. Some people who attend these games have mobility issues and could use the railings to go to court level. I have visited many arenas in the Pac12 and by far we have the most horrible food served at the concession stands. The popcorn tastes like it was made weeks ago and the pretzels are always stale. The prices are outrageous and they pre-pour beer and it is never cold. If you want a cold beer buy it in a can! The carts/kiosks that sell better food/choices are never open for women's games. I will continue to support the men's and women's basketball teams, but will bring my own food. Maybe CU should invest some of there newly acquired football money on the...
