Holiday Inn Express Bradford by IHG — Hotel in Bradford

The hotel was fine even with renovations. The staff in kitchen and room cleaner was excellent. Kelsie at front desk was a severe property safety and customer satisfaction hotel risk. March 2nd I found a little boy screaming and crying with no adult supervision outside my room door. I tried asking him where his room, parents were but took awhile as he was very upset. A few couples came out of their rooms and one couple helped me with him. we got him calm and then I went to the front desk.

I reported this to Kelsie at the front desk that I need help with a very young child who apparently did not speak English and as a guest this is not my responsibility. I told her she needs to call the police and her manager but she did not want to do either of those things and was very adamant not to. I told her if she doesn't call the police that I will and IHG head office. That did work so she called the police but not her manager (as the next morning the assistant manager said she did nit call her). The police came and explained the situation and he took over and came with me to the third floor. He finally located the room and the adult was sleeping. This took way over an hour out of my personal relaxing IHG hotel stay time.

Kelsie looked very poorly dressed and that she was intoxicated by drugs, alcohol or both. She was hard to locate when I rang bell several times. When we came back from dinner bottom floor windows were all wide open so someone could climb in and all lights on. I was able to see into your laundry room, stock room, office etc - did not look good but more importantly made for a VERY unsafe feeling staying at the hotel.

Next morning I spoke to the Assistant manager about the situation that she wasn't aware of until the morning. She apologized for the situation and how handled etc. and assure me things would be taken care of for future stays.

Even with that being said I doubted things will be taken care of to the high IHG standards I am accustomed to. So after I got home I called the IHG customer service line and explained the circumstances and its been 3 weeks and heard nothing. I was given a 5000 IHG reward for my inconvenience. I truly do not think that this person understood the severity of the situation.

That is why I am now writing this review as the safety of your guests at this hotel was terribly violated. I fully expect when staying at an IHG property to feel safe, comfortable, respected and more. This did not occur and the only two people that were on top of their games was the kitchen staff and the cleaning room lady.

I hope that this hotel gets looked after and all staff are trained to handle these situations in the future. I will not come back here (as I have been quite a few times as I come skiing and this is where I stay)until I know things have improved and proper things have been put into place.

IHG is always my first choice in my stays around the world but this one...

Spent the day moving our daughter to college so we were looking to relax. Our room contained a King bed and Jacuzzi. The Bradford Holiday Inn Express is newer and the room showed no wear. After a 4 hour drive and moving our daughter's belongings into her dorm room the Jacuzzi felt great . The bed was very comfortable and afforded us a great night's sleep. The room was very quiet. If there were guests in the rooms next to us we didn't hear them.

The only hotel employee that we dealt with was the front desk clerk. She was extremely courteous, friendly, funny and most helpful. She was involved in both our check-in and check-out and she handled both in a spirited way. In fact, we've stayed at this hotel numerous times and the employees have always been great to us.

Even though we arrivied for the free breakfast about 30 minutes before it was to end there was a great selection and quantity of food and drinks. The dining area was quite full and there was enough food for all. The staff made sure there was food available even though the breakfast bar was going to close in 15 minutes. The food was very good and we didn't feel rushed even though we ate late. The staff wasn't bustling around us like at other hotels cleaning off the food bar even though it was 10 minutes after breakfast had ended.

During breakfast we had great conversations with other guests while dining. Everyone was friendly and eager to participate in conversations.

We will stay in this hotel in the future. it's convenient to the highway and is located in downtown Bradford. The only drawback is that even though it's easy to spot while driving south on Rt 219 it's confusing at first to locate the hotel. If they can post signs in the town of Bradford indicating their location that would be very beneficial. But the hotel is very much...

On a family visit to my wife's parents, we decided to give the Holiday Inn Express another try. The first time we stayed there, the hotel was new but staff certainly was not ready. My wife and I decided to give this Bradford PA hotel another try.

Wow! We are glad we did. From Check-in to Check-out, the staff was very friendly and courteous. They went above and beyond. One of the minor irritations we had in our first visit was unevenness of the food quality and presentation. This time it was very, very good with a very attentive Keeper of the Food. Hot was hot; cold was cold; juices not watery, eggs not burned, and a good cup of coffee. A great place to start the day.

The property itself was landscaped with colorful flowers, nice lawns and full of welcoming appeal. The desk clerk whisked us through the check-in process and was the first person to say, "If you need anything, just let us know" but we heard that phrase from everyone on the staff. The room was clean and had a wonderful surprise....a jet tub to relax in. The bathroom was functional and well designed but more importantly, a great shower with excellent water pressure that stayed hot no matter how long you were in there. There was a refrigerator, microwave and a Keurig coffee maker. In the small cabinet, dishes were supplied as well. The mattress was a luxurious king size retreat. Along with the bedding and efficient climate control, we slept in comfort and well rested each morning. From the initial welcome, well maintained property , full breakfast, and easy check-out this hotel was truly a great experience at an economical price.
