Get ready for an epic beach adventure at this pet-friendly hotel in Brookings, Oregon! Located right on the stunning Oregon coast, this hotel boasts a beach with the most driftwood you’ve ever seen. It’s a totally different vibe from California beaches! With tree logs abundant in the area, making it a unique experience for you and your family! And, we got lucky to get the most spacious room with a huge patio, located near the pool and jacuzzi area, which is perfect for families! Oh and you get free breakfast! #cienedig #oregon #oregoncoast#adventuresareforever #roadtrip #highway1 #viewsfordays #roadtripusa #seaside #petfriendly #petfriendlytravel #petfriendlyhotel #brookingsoregon #zeusadventures🐶 #zeusdabeast🐶

Update 7/3/2025 I spoke with Dharmesh yesterday about my experience in this review. He apologized immensely and said that his employees should never treat their customers in this way and that he was extremely disappointed that I had this experience. We had a good conversation about how the situation could be rectified that would make both of us happy. I felt very much heard and valued throughout the entire conversation. I have made new reservations for later in the year and I am happy to say that I will be coming back to one of my most favorite places to stay on the coast. Original Review: Very disappointed. We stayed back in March of 2025 and while we were there we encountered an ant infestation. We were there for 2 nights. The first night we maybe saw 1 or two ants. We left the room for the day and when we came back for the evening we saw a little more but it wasn't horrible. By the time we woke up in the morning to enjoy breakfast and prepare to check out our room was completely infested. They were coming out of the outlets and crawling on every surface. My son took his medication and within minutes it was cover in ants. No surface was safe, not even the bed. It was disgusting. When we checked out and I told the front desk they said "oh no, not you too." Which tells me we definitely weren't the only one experiencing this plague. When I got my email asking about how our stay was, I explained the ant situation and said that I know not all hotel stays can be perfect, but it's what the hotel does to make things right for the customer is what matters. I got a response back from the manager stating to give them a call. I called them and spoke with Christy to let them know of the situation. She got back to me a few days later to say that they were still discussing it and that she would give me a call either later that day or the next day with the solution. I never got a call back. I had to call two to three times in order to get anything back. Finally, on the last message I left I got a call back. There was no apology for it taking so long or the fact that I was essentially forgotten. Heck, there wasn't even a conversation between her and I. She told me that I would be receiving no refund and then it was dead air. I was shocked. Not necessarily by what she said, but how she said it. So I responded asking if there was any other solution that came up for compensation? She replied "What would you want?" I replied with maybe getting a discount on our next day if we even decided to go back to their establishment. Her response and her tone of voice just made me feel like how could I have the audacity to ask a question like this. Then she replied by saying "we could give you the lowest rate possible." There was no other explanation on what that actually entails, but I definitely felt during the entire conversation like I was the bad guy for even asking for some kind of compensation for the fact that our last stay was tarnished by hundreds of ants. At this point I don't even know if I will be coming back to this hotel to take advantage of whatever "discount" they have to offer if they feel that this is what customer service is.

Please read the end of this review, as I really feel it conveys the whole idea of The Beachfront Inn.||-We stayed in a king deluxe. All rooms have ocean views.|-The BI is right off of 101 S - easy access. We arrived after driving 9 hours and just wanted a quick dinner and to crawl into bed, so I was VERY happy to see a few restaurants within walking distance.|-This was a road trip after visiting relatives in NYC, so I loved the contrast!|-We paid ~$350, which I don't feel was commensurate with the facilities. |-Noise level: we were on the 2nd floor; it was somewhat easy to hear guests on the 3rd floor|-Cleanliness: many reviews are focus on cleanliness for poor reviews. For me, I felt reception, the breakfast area, access to and on the beach and mainly our room. IMO, the hotel needs TLC re: fraying at the edges of bathroom doors, our front door stuck, a new mattress should be considered (not cleanliness, I know), etc. However, I didn't see anything like what I read in reviews. |-Breakfast: what you would generally expect|-Casandra was welcoming, checked us in quickly and gave us the lay of the land.|-Service: Since we were quite tired, we really just wanted a quick bite to eat and to crawl into bed, watch some TV and go to bed. My partner turned on the TV, which wasn't working properly, called down and spoke to Casandra. She was quite insistent the TV be replaced so we could relax a bit. Though we waited about 45 minutes, she and Edie brought up a new, larger TV. Though it was awkward in that they opened the box while we were in the room and it became a 4-person assembly. That said, we really appreciated that they took the time to find a new, larger TV for us. The irony was that only select channels works. So, we just decided to call it a night and we alerted the front desk to the issue in the morning.||Now, what I believe is at the heart of the Beachfront Inn is this:||If you're looking to vacation at a chalet in Switzerland or stay at 5 resorts and hyper-trendy wellness retreats, IMO you won't value the essence of The Inn. Yes, my partner and I travel roughly 3 months of the year; and admittedly we stay at 5* establishments. That was NOT what I wanted for this trip at all. We walked into our room (yes, with the squeaky door), I looked at the small balcony with brilliant, unobscured ocean views and had a huge smile on my face. This was EXACTLY what I wanted and was expecting. We had a modest balcony and chairs, and I was extremely excited to go to sleep and wake hearing the ocean waves, the soft summer drift through the air the whole time and a sunrise walk on the beach. Perfect! This is a place where families ideally spend 1 or 2+ weeks. ||Before we went to dinner, we took a walk down to the beach where I watch gleefully parents in fold-out chairs talking while their children played in the ocean. *The most memorable of the whole stay for me was a fleeing observation of a father using a large piece of driftwood see-sawing his son and thinking to myself: 'this is the type of memory both father and son will remember for the rest of their lives.' Similar to that example are memories like that for me, not which suite we stayed in was the best. So, yes, The Beachfront Inn has its flaws, but what you get in return far outweighs them IMO.||If you have read this and feel this is an experience you will value, I highly recommend The Beachfront Inn....

I'm torn in writing this review. There were so many things to like about this property, I want to give it a great review. But there were so many things not to like, I want to give it a poor review. And sadly, and frustratingly, the things NOT to like could so easily be remedied, it completely makes me question the management and ownership of this property. ||The things NOT to like can be boiled down to poor "attentions to detail"....and poor cleanliness and lack of upkeep. These small things can turn a property from just "OK", to "Very Good" or "Great".||For example.....and the very first impact on our initial impression.......was that the elevator to our building unit was "inoperable". If this was an isolated event, a recent event.....understandable. However, from reading previous TA reviews, this hotel's elevators have been inoperable for years. FOR YEARS. I just can't fathom how a competent hotelier would not remedy this in a matter of weeks, if not in a matter of months. If not for the betterment of the property, and its customers, but also for the benefit of clientele that may have mobility issues. Ever heard of a thing called the Federal ADA act? Just mind-blowing that elevators have been out-of-commission for years. ||And in looking at the other two "sections" of the buildings that make up the motel, at least one of them look boarded up and inoperable as well. Literally, boarded up. So if there is indeed a third section of the motel, one that has an operable elevator, great.....you're one-third good....but still two-thirds horrible. FIX THE ELEVATORS for goodness-sake!||The other not-so-good issue....cleanliness, or lack thereof. Simply put.......Just......Not great. And herein lies another point of frustation......it could so easily be great. With just a little elbow grease, things could be so different. ||All of the "expensive" things to update or refresh a hotel room were present....they were done already. Our Pet-Friendly Family Suite had: newer vinyl plank flooring, newer counter tops, newer bathroom tub/shower, newer tiling in the shower, newer furniture, newer decor......all of the big items, the big expensive items, were refreshed.||But the general cleanliness of the room was poor. And this sadly, took away from the positive aspects of the room (the refreshed and new updates).||See Pics.....(1) Pic of cleaning rag after we cleaned the desk chair. The rag of cleaning the microwave was even worse, if you could imagine (2) the room door with the prior dead bolt attempts....(notice, prior dead bolt holes still present, not even patched or puttied up) (3) bathroom vent looks like it hasn't been cleaned in 10 years? (4) paint touch ups on the wall.....why not paint the whole wall, and not just patches, so it matches?||In conclusion, this property offers so much......its great location being number one. But paying attention to the small things, and the cleanliness issues, needs to be addressed and become a priority for it to...
