Quan is the absolute worst at this hotel. I called two days prior to change my reservation. I was originally staying for 2 nights a Friday and Saturday. I called to cancel my arrival for Friday night and just come on Saturday. He assured me that it was and I was good to go. I arrive at the hotel on Saturday to check in and was told my reservation was never changed. Still got charged for a night I wasn’t even there. The lady that checked me in gave me a bs excuse saying,” well we can control the ihg reservation. I said no I spoke to a guy that was on the front desk that night. She kept saying well we don’t k ow who that is. I asked how many guys work the front. She told me one. Lol. So I just said whatever and went to my room. Later that day Quan came into work. He checked in other members of my party giving one of them an occupied room. They went to open the door and a previous guest was already there looking confused. They came back down stairs to get another room and Quan made it seem like it’s the other guest fault. Stating that he overstayed. He proceeded to give them another room and they left. I stayed behind however and was listing to his phone call to that other room. He asked the guy his name then was like oh yea I just checked u in right??? I’m sorry about that and hung up. Then I put two and two together. I asked him if he was the person I called about the reservation change. He admitted he was and was already aware of the situation from the morning shift employee. So I questioned him why this happen. He started getting agitated then threaten me to call the cops. I kinda chuckled and told him to go ahead I’ve done nothing wrong. He went to the phone acted like he was gonna call then hung the phone back up. I laughed at him and went to my room.

Read moreCandlewood Suites Buda far exceeded my expectations during our recent stay while gathering with family and friends for a wedding. The staff and service are the true difference makers when it comes to customer experience in the hotel and hospitality space as well as the service industry in general... People make the difference and the people working at this hotel were all so kind, pleasant and eager to do whatever they could to improve our stay.
Every employee that I interacted with at the Candlewood Suites in Buda treated me like a VIP. Vee, who works at the front desk was fantastic and went above and beyond in making me feel special and providing a white glove experience for me and my family. It all started with a couple pre-stay phone calls I made to the front desk several weeks before my stay and then again several days before my stay. I am an over planner and recognize now that I reached out again the night before our stay and also the day of our arrival when we were a couple hours away. 😬 I had some special requests with sleeping arrangements, check-in, etc and simply wanted to ensure that every detail with this trip fell appropriately into place.
Vee was so helpful, kind and patient with me every time I reached out. She even recognized and remembered me from when I called beforehand She said “Mr.Faulkner! I’m Vee. You and I spoke over the phone. Did everything with your room work out the way you requested?”
Talk about rolling out the red carpet! Vee as well as the rest of the staff are second to none and they truly elevate this hotel from your standard no frills business travel hotel to THE only hotel I would recommend someone staying at...
Read moreWent for our anniversary weekend. People very nice. First room we had dogs in nearby rooms that were barking, they changed our room but the clerk had trouble getting the computer to accept. Got our new keys and moved to new room. Went out site seeing and dinner, got back after midnight, our keys did not work for our room, went back down to service desk, the night auditor said that they had assigned our room to someone else and when the new occupants saw our belongings they came back down to desk. The clerk reassured us that none of our stuff was touched. She could not find our paper work or our reservation, but she said she would look for it. The next morning at 8:30 am, someone was nocking on our door. It was the front desk manager. She was questioning our reservation, as if we were squatters. She didn’t have anyone in this room, we told her the whole story. She asked our name and said she would take a look. When we down to leave, she said she found our reservation and the evening clerk just put us in a different room and key to this room. All was good. Well, once again, when we got back we couldn’t get in our room. Down to desk, of course the spill of key being by cell phone. We are very aware of this and purposely made sure it was no where by our phone. I was not happy, and of course no manager On duty. The next morning the front end manager was there and I just handed her my keys. I should have said something, but at this point I was...
