We had a recent stay at this location. (Oct 7, 2023). We were a late arrival: The front desk staff tried to do their best- seemed as though the computer was the excuse and reason why ck-ins were processing slow...|We totally understand when re-model takes place and things are a bit dis arrayed from normal. Just be aware that the hallway walls on floor #3 are being re-done, so there is rough drywall plaster walls exposed, and that new carpet is being installed on the main floor. ||Along side of this, the floors could have been more clean.... we went down for breakfast buffet at 8:30- 9:00 and there were a few waffles to be made, a couple of eggs, and a couple of vogurt. The tables were not wiped off, floors hadn't been cleaned it a day or more...|Our room was so-so.. Floors were OK-- bathroom walls ?,|Bathroom Tissue was sparce: there was 1/8 roll of tissue left on the spindle to start with- who would leave such a short roll is beyond me, and I was so disappointed to see that the spare roll looked like it had fallen into a wet area and set out to dry, later to be placed in a room -(in this case our room)...we all know when toilet tissue falls onto wet surfaces- It's history.. Again being a late arrival, so when I needed the tissue late at night, I ended up tearing the spare roll down to 1/2 the roll because It was impossible to use that first 1/2 after it was dried hard from being wet.....|Bed: One thing I can say is that the bed was very comfy- sheets were clean, and I so appreciated a clean-comfy bed... If it wasn't for the comfy bed and clean sheets, I def would have made a complaint at the front desk the following morning.|This is my first disappointment in a Comfort Inn - I will def not be scared to visit another, hoping for a better...
Read moreThe staff is very VERY friendly, and extremely accommodating. I stayed from Friday-Monday, while the annual old car thing was happening. (Review is long, but in sections to break it down.)
Parking was a joke. I feel that there was not equivalent parking for how many people stay there, and hope the hotel will purchase and create more parking for the guests.
The hotel room was decent, pretty clean. The comforter did not smell freshly washed though, so it was a little weird. Could’ve been a hot dryer situation, but that was the only thing in the room that made me a little uneasy. The tv only had cable available, but pretended to allow for chromecast - almost like the tv was casting its own WiFi that had no connection. I tried to fix the settings but alas, guests can’t access that.
The pool is quaint, but my fiancé and I got to swim for a little while alone which made it feel huge! I’ve never had so much fun swimming! The jacuzzi and outside patio is a nice touch! Could use a bar though :)
The plan was to eat breakfast at the hotel each morning but we only ate once - family and friends had other plans. Breakfast was pretty good on our last day. I got biscuits and gravy, waffles, there were also; cheesy egg option, boiled eggs, yogurts, juices, cereal, milk, oatmeal and pastries/bagels and probably more I didn’t even see. LOVE the options. I am always scared I’ll be given a cold box of small cereal and a cup of 1% milk to choke it down with. Very impressed!!!
I love that this hotel is PET FRIENDLY! It makes it feel a little like home when you see the tail wags and little tippy taps of four legged creatures.
It was exactly what we needed when we needed it. Prices are a little steeper than I think they should be, due to the few items...
Read moreExceeded our expectations. We were a little hesitant when we saw some of the Google reviews, but just ignore those reviews. Not sure what the deal is with them, but this is definitely one of the nicest and cleanest places we have stayed in all our travels. We are semi drivers, and have stayed at hotels all across this nation and Canada, and this is going to be our place to go, whenever we pick up in Cadillac. The rooms were spotless. No mold, mildew or dust any where. The entire hotel always smelled fresh and clean. The breakfast was average. It was absolutely fresh, but the fried potatoes were always mushy, instead of brown and crispy. Everything else was spot on though. And there were a lot of choices for all types of diets. The staff were always welcoming and friendly too. I am disabled and have to have an accessible room. Everything was placed as it should be to make my getting around and taking a shower easy. I do wish that they had door buttons on the outside access doors on the side of the hotel though, so I didn't have to wait for my husband or someone passing by to open the door for me. However, I could have used the front entrance if I really wanted to, as it is automatic. The beds were also very comfortable, and had soft, clean white linens on the bed and fluffy white towels and pillows for you to use. The decor of the hotel and rooms is pleasant and calming too. So definitely give this hotel a try. I am very peticular and they more than met my...
