We visited the Choctaw for a concert, but we did not want to pay the outrageous prices to stay at the casino hotel. A quick search turned up the Best Express, which is very close to the casino. The rates were reasonable, and the person I spoke to for booking was very friendly and helpful. We arrived and were able to check in right away, very smooth process. Blaine was working the front desk, and could not be more friendly. He gave us very good information about the area, the casino shuttle, and some other good tips on getting around. When we were ready to go to the show, Blaine called the shuttle for us, and we hung out in the lobby visiting with him. He absolutely made us feel like welcome family. We talked about music for a while, before he picked up his guitar and played a few songs for us and the others that had gathered in the lobby for the shuttle. Really set up the mood for a great evening! The room itself is functional, clean and appropriate for the value. We had a king bed, TV with plenty of channels, and an in room refrigerator. We spent very little time in the room, but the AC worked fine and was easy to control. The bathroom had all the necessary amenities and the show was hot. I would highly recommend staying at the Best Express when visiting the Choctaw, make sure you book early, as the hotel will fill up on...

Read moreWe live just 10 miles from this hotel in calera ok. As a child my parents would surprise us kids with little mini vacations because money was right. As kids we loved staying in hotels, swimming etc So as a treat for one weekend, because our pool is not ready, I called to reserve a little vacay with our grandson who loves to swim. I called after looking at trip adviser for a local hotel with indoor pool and found this hotel. I called and to my astonishment I was told the owner does not rent rooms to the locals , the lady's words, not mine. The locals I asked and she said their rooms were strictly for out of towners um money is money no matter if I lived next door to the hotel or 500 miles away . I know it's memorial weekend but they still have plenty of vacancys. I am literally shocked that the owner has a policy in play denying local residents a stay in this hotel. And since you have to show ID the lady said so people can't lie and say their from out of town ....
