I don't even know where to start. I called to confirm my reservation and asked for check in time. She told me 3:00 but said our room would be available by 2:00. We found entertainment and didnt show up until after 3:15. Upon checking in I asked if I could pay for my room with a different card, to which I was told No its already been run. I have never had an issue like this before nor did the card actually get billed until this morning which is three days later. The lobby was a.wreck with half carpet, have concrete floors. Popcorn that was offered lacked flavor, and lemonade was a bit watered down. We shook all of that off and went to our room. Upon arrival we noticed the door was already open and there was no bedding. We went back down and said our room is not ready even though we were told we could check in at 2 and actual time was 3.It was now 3:30 so there should be no excuse. Front desk lady was really apologetic and offered another room. We went to another room which we found out had two double beds instead of the king size bed we had booked. My wife called down and the lady apologized again but said if you want in a room this is all I have available. Room was very dark and could use better lighting. It was clean and modest which I expected for the reasonable price. At about 4:00 I went back down again to see if she could switch the card again and if I could purchase a coke. I waited for 30 minutes while she was on the phone and she saw me, but she never once budged from her call to offer me any help. I gave up on my quest for a coke. I also thought my Saturday rate was for $140, but when I was charged it showed $170 in which I was quoted for Friday.
Any how while lady was apologetic, it did not seem sincere. My room wasnt ready on time, i didnt get the room I wanted and reserved, and from the looks of it I was charged more then originally quoted. You would think since my accomodations werent met that maybe something would be discounted not charged more. Simply put I will find somewhere else to stay when in Durant, I wont recommend you to any family or friends, and I will call Casino who suggested and gave yall a good recommendation when they were booked.

Read moreThe hotel was not maintained very well, overall very dingy. We saw stains on nearly all surfaces in the room and in the halls. The flooring in the lobby had been pulled up with some kind of paper barrier taped down over it. There is also a water feature as soon as you walk through the doors that had very cloudy water, not sure how well maintained it is. We saw lots of dust and shoddy paint “touch ups” not even the same color as the original wall color. In our room, the microwave had a lot of rust on the inside. We also had a hole in the wall under the sink. I would not be surprised if the hotel had bed bugs, however, we did not see evidence of them in our room when we checked multiple times. The “market” are had very limited options, Sam’s Club brand soda cans and a handful of small bags of chips. During checkout, front desk person was also manning the continental breakfast. I did not have any issues with the food, however, I did not see the kitchen so I can’t speak to the food prep. They had a juice fountain drink station that was difficult to operate and not in English, thankfully there were pictures to tell you which nozzle was what kind of juice. It is certainly not worth the $200 we paid for one night considering Choctaw Casino and Resort is right across the street and much nicer for relatively the same price. We will not recommend this location nor will we stay here again. The pictures online are definitely the same property but they are very misleading on the condition of the property. The only good things I can say is it is close to Choctaw Casino if you are unable to get a room at the resort and the towels and bedding smelled clean and not stained. The gentleman that checked us in was very kind and thorough with checkin information (ie, confirmed card to be charged, informed us were ice machine was...
Read moreWe had booked two nights here to play an event at Choctaw Casino. We arrived late after a long drive and spent 30 minutes waiting for the front desk lady try to check us in using a very inefficient system on what appeared to be a cheap computer tablet. The lobby was decorated in a cool modern contemporary style but was filthy. We finally got to our room which was also decorated in the same cool modern contemporary theme but was filthy. The floor was covered in grime and hadn't been swept or mopped in a while. The shower still had the used soap and toiletries from the previous guests and was moldy. There was one towel, a hand towel in the whole room. There were bad stains on the carpet. The bed did look like it had clean sheets so since my hubby was in severe pain with his back and it was late, we stayed the night. We went downstairs and asked for the manager. A guy named Bo (sp) came out and we explained the bad experience we'd had and asked to be refunded and told him we would be changing hotels. He offered to move us to another room but we told him that the entire hotel was filthy and we couldn't stay there another night. Given that we booked through a third party, he said he would refund us when they contacted him. I contacted the site we booked through and they contacted Bo who went back on hi word and would only refund us for one night. Thankfully the third party booking site gave us credit for the loss of payment. Although Hy Lo Hotel is only 6 months old and has cool decor, it is very poorly maintained and filthy and I would not recommend...
