The District — Attraction in Durant

Poor job advertising specials. We purchased one $100 arcade card and two $20 gift cards. We received an extra $50 in bonus cards when we purchased our cards on the self service kiosk. It wasn't until we purchased our hour of bowling that the cashier asked if we got out free $10 bonus cards for every $10 arcade card purchased. No. We didn't. It wasn't advertised. No where did it say that cards were even for sale at the ticket redemption counter and we never saw any employees walking around the arcade even if we had questions. We should have received $140 in bonus play, so we missed out on $90 of free play. We live over 3 hrs away. We definitely won't be back. Also, we purchased an hour of bowling for two players and the bowling balls kept getting hung up on our assigned lane. We had to ask for help multiple times. It was so bad that we had to get switched to a different lane. We lost over 15 minutes of play time (over 1/4 of the time we paid for) and no extra time was offered. This was a very disappointing trip in regards to customer service. If I could leave zero stars I would. Have been taking my family to the movie theater in the district for years. On Friday May 28th I took my family to supper at Smash Burger, bought tickets to watch The Quiet Place 2, then spent $200 on games for my handicapped brother to play. Was watching the previews, some Karen came up to where we were sitting an said that we were in her seats. I said it's not assigned seating. She sent her skinny little boy to get a manager. The little teenage boy told us to move or leave. So we got up and moved to other empty seats. Was SO upset that a Karen got her way after YEARS of not being bothered at the theater. Amazing, fun spot to visit! Lots to do (plenty!) and that really goes for all ages. In fact, the resort-like hotel, casino, pools, theaters, gaming, restaurants, shops, and more all have something of interest to pretty much everyone who may be in ones group. We frequently make the trip up here, and this most recent one was amazing as always— and while it didn’t pan out in financial gains like the last few— not always will they. 😅 Either way, it’s a great place for many occasions.
