This great little gem of a hotel is located in good old, downtown Camas which has that cozy country, small town feel but with the sparkle of modern trappings interlaced throughout. And we just happened to be staying during the month of December so it was decked out in all the Christmas splendor one might expect in a small town. The interior obviously shows the age of the old building but everything is decorated with a touch of opulence and that rich feel of real granite, wood and brass that makes these type of craftsman built buildings a fun experience. And again the magic of all those Christmas lights and the like just adds to it all. The room was great! We got one with a king bed and private bath as they do have shared options for a lower budget. The rooms while modernized still held onto that old school charm with added luxury like bathrobes and a really comfortable mattress and linens. We especially enjoyed the great coffee and pastries from the quaint little shop (wish I could remember the name, dare I say Picollo Cafe?) just a hop and a skip across the street. Very friendly lady there who'll make you feel very welcome and seemed to put a smile on everyone's face before me and including me. All in all just a really neat little hotel tucked away in a busy little town that starts bustling early as one might expect. I would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to the area or look for something of it's nature and will to drive a little further for something different and refreshing to the mainstream offerings. I know we'll be back. We're thinking of doing a little spring time stay-cation here and enjoy a lazy weekend dipping in and out of shops and trying a few restaurants. Hopefully there will still be some in business when all this Covid19 stuff if under control... and just FYI, a discussion with the front desk at check in assured us that even though the pandemic has hurt business the Camas Hotel isn't going anywhere! Cheers to that!

Valentine’s Day package was not as described and ruined my Valentine’s Day surprise by spilling the beans to my wife. Nice little place though. I would have given a better rating but I called and asked for the $55 Valentines. Special, which was supposed to be a Dozen roses, a box of SWISS chocolates, champagne and two glasses... what I got was 10 tulips, some “mixed” chocolates a bottle of champagne ( The cheap kind) and Two glasses. The guy at the front desk asked my wife about the package even though I told them to keep it a secret when I ordered it, so that was the start . Then I got to the room and saw the Tulips ... it pretty much ruined my stay from there, luckily my Wife told me not to worry about it until the next day, so we made the most of it. When I told the guy about everything the next day he said because of the snow , that they couldn’t get Roses, although my wife and I walked to the local Safeway about three blocks away, where there were tons of roses. As for the Swiss chocolates, he seemed surprised that the website said that . He said that he would take $20 off for the Roses, but wanted the Tulips and Vase back. At that point I was done and just agreed. I can’t really give the Hotel fair judgment at this point because things didn’t go as planned and I saw it in a bad light from the start of my stay.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. Giving it 3 stars because we purchased our reservation for a room with breakfast however upon check in we were told that hotel didn't provide breakfast vouchers any longer. This was an inconvenience as the hotel didn't make an attempt to notify us of changes prior to our arrival nor did anything to fix the situation on the spot. Dear management, I am attaching a picture of confirmation of our reservation that says : Included amenities - Breakfast buffet. We travel with a small child, therefore having breakfast at the hotel is very important to us and I promise you we made sure the room was reserved with breakfast option (for extra pay). Going even further, I called the hotel the next business day to verify the reservation and the front desk staff advised me that yes, the room is confirmed with breakfast however because of COVID the breakfast buffet is not available, instead the hotel provide vouchers for Piccolo's across the street for breakfast panini and a cup of coffee. For being in customer service business as long as I personally have, I don't believe it is not a good way of conducting business by accusing your customer of misreading the description or terms of our reservation when it is black and white. Thank you for your time and your response. Sincerely, Anastasiia

Cozy, cute luxury. Comfy bed with great pillows. Coffee machine works great, but decaf option included would be helpful. Nice, big community bathroom feels very European. Room was very clean and inviting after a long day of traveling. Community bathroom is spacious and very clean. I’ve stayed here before and would stay her again. Highly recommend, but be aware that late arrival might not go smoothly. ||Leaf blower at 6am was not good. Sink cabinet in the bathroom on the 3rd floor needs to be painted. ||After-hours key card retrieval didn’t go smoothly. If you arrive after 8pm, the front doors will be locked, but staff are on duty at the front desk until 9pm. They don’t put your room keycard in the after-hours lockbox for you until 8:45. I phoned ahead twice to discuss the timing of my arrival from PDX, so that they would know I would be arriving after 8pm. (Delayed flights and a one hour wait in line to get rental car.) I arrived at 8:30ish and could see through the glass front door that no staff member was at the desk. I found the lockbox, but the lighting is very poor and there are 5 different lockboxes on the same wall outside. I guessed which one I thought would be the one for the hotel. I tried that lockbox multiple times with the code I got by email, but it wouldn’t open. I tried the other lockboxes that I could reach. I enlisted help from staff at the restaurant next door who were aware of the hotel’s lockbox system, but the code did not work for them either. At this point, someone came out of the back room at the front desk of the hotel. I had to knock on the door and waive to get their attention. I explained that the code didn’t work and they said they hadn’t put my room card out in the lockbox yet - even though I had called twice and they knew I was on my way from PDX. If you know a customer is coming in late, stay at the front desk for their arrival. If you have to go in the back room for an extended period of time, put the room card in the lockbox before 8:45. Always keep the customer in mind and think ahead to make things easy for the customer. (I explained to them on the phone that I needed the arrival at the hotel to go smoothly, because of a very long and tiring day of travel.) Listen to the customer. You’re dealing with people who are tired, stressed, and who can’t wait to get into a comfy bed after a long day. Make it...

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding my recent reservation and stay at the Camas Boutique Hotel on 6/6/2025

Upon entering my reserved room, I was immediately confronted with an overwhelming and intolerable odor of cheap perfume. The scent was so strong that I had to walk out of the room immediately and request a room change from the front desk clerk. The clerk acknowledged the presence of the odor. He contacted the manager on the phone and offered to clean the room and use a deodorizer. However, I decided not to stay as I would not be able to tolerate the odor even after such measures and requested to cancel my reservation.

Subsequently, the hotel manager informed me that she needed to consult with the owner regarding my refund request. I was later deeply dismayed to receive an email on 6/7, stating that the hotel would not issue a refund, claiming the odor was not severe. This decision is entirely unacceptable and demonstrates a clear disregard for the customer's experience.

My decision to cancel was not made lightly. After a long day of fishing, I was forced to drive three and half hours back to Bellevue because the room was uninhabitable. To suggest the odor was not "bad" is to completely dismiss my experience and discomfort. While the odor may have dissipated overnight with open windows or other interventions, that does not negate the fact that the room was unusable upon my arrival.

As a returning customer who has utilized your hotel for years, I am genuinely shocked by this lack of understanding and poor customer service. This is not an isolated incident; last year, I encountered a similar strong, cheap perfume odor in a queen en suite room. On that occasion, the clerk also acknowledged the issue and promptly offered a room change, which I accepted.

Given these recurring issues and the hotel's unwillingness to provide a refund for an unusable room, I will be sharing my experience through a Google review to inform future...
