Icona is nice if your only doing a short stay this hotel is very basic not many amenities , the rooms are very clean but also very small the balcony had a slight view of the ocean my room had a king bed equipped with a Keurig machine but they only give you 3 k cups so if you are a coffee drinker like me you better bring extra k cups , the bathroom was nice an clean but like I said it’s small only room for 1 person in there , the shower has a bit more room an the water was nice an hot , the mattress was on the firm side it was not plush at all so if you enjoy sleeping on firm stuff then you wouldn’t have any problems , the location is excellent all the attractions are close by , the shuttle only runs on Friday night the pool wasn’t open but it is heated , there is no restaurant at this hotel , the front desk was not as friendly as I’m use to from other hotels but that’s ok. Anything my wife and I asked them for they couldn’t accommodate us , they seem to like the word NO , when majority of hotels I stayed at would always make some kind of exception for the customer , the elevator is small an kinda on the noisy , to me it needs to be worked on most definitely something is not right with it. My overall experience here I give them a 1 star overall and that’s being nice. I’m an experienced traveler since I work for a major airline , so you can take my advise or just move on it’s totally fine with me. This hotel seems to me that it’s poorly managed, I think this place has a lot of F@!king balls to charge a resort fee when pool was closed , the shuttle only runs on Friday's, an they never put any of the beach chairs and umbrellas on beach when all the other hotels had them out. I most definitely will never book here again I highly recommend checking other hotels before you spend the ridiculous amount of money per night at this one. They are insane.

We stayed at the ICONA Cape May hotel for 3 nights in mid-September. The rooms are very clean and modern and have everything you might need including a microwave, a fridge, a coffee maker, and cabinets with glassware. The hotel is small compared to others around it, but that gives it a nice, cozy vibe. Most balconies have some sort of view of the beach and are pretty private. Ice machines are available on every floor. The hotel has a small heated pool in the front that is big enough for about 8 people with some lounge chairs around it. When we were there, it was pretty quiet before noon, but there were usually guests out there in the afternoon. The beach is across the street and very accessible which is one of the best things about this hotel. ICONA allows guests to rent beach chairs at no extra cost, and the staff will help take them to and from the beach. If you are looking for a bigger pool area, you can ride a shuttle to the Diamond Beach ICONA hotel to use their pool. Parking is tight. The parking areas underneath the hotel have fewer spots than rooms, so some guests will have to park behind the hotel on New Jersey Ave. The hotel has a shuttle that goes to the center of town, so this is another option for transportation. We enjoyed our time here and would stay again.

5/5 ⭐️’s! My husband and I recently stayed here and had an amazing experience. We typically stay in Hiltons and we have high standards when it comes to hotels. ICONA actually outshone many of the Hilton Hotels we’ve stayed at. The rooms were bright and clean. The bed and pillows were very luxurious and comfortable. The thing that stood out to us the most however was that every staff member we encountered was beyond pleasant and helpful to us. The customer service at this Hotel was like nothing we’ve experienced before. ICONA also is notable for offering beach tags to guests included with reservation as well as beach chairs and umbrellas (they will even have someone bring them out to the beach and set them up for you). They even offer complimentary shuttle service that can take you around the town to different popular spots. We ended up using this service a bunch throughout our stay and it was amazing! We specifically wanted to shout out both Anthony and Alvin who shuttled us to different restaurants and locations around the town throughout our trip. Both of these men embodied great customer service and they made our overall experience even better! We will definitely be returning to ICONA in the future!

I highly recommend. Would come back here next year as well. Front desk staff is very professional and helpful. They have a free shuttle service on the property that will take you anywhere in Cape May (e.g. whale watching Port, the light house, Washington sq mall, you name it). The property also provides foldable and comfortable beach chairs and umbrella which a friendly porter on premises will bring out to the beach for you across the street (and also help you bring any other bags or items you need to bring to beach). They have a small pool (heated, open 10am to 8 pm daily, no life guard) that is up to 5ft deep. It is small, but the kids will have a fun time splashing around and we even made a new friend while playing there every morning. There's also a clean unisex restroom at the pool where you can change if needed) the pool also provides towels.

Parking is limited (I was told they have a total of 53 rooms and only 47 parking spots), so I recommend once you find a spot at check-in, then keep your car there and utilize the shuttle service as much as you can. The Washington sq mall is in walking distance (15 or so minute walk) which is where my kid and I spent most our days.

We had a premium King room where we stayed for three nights, and because we were enjoying our stay in Cape May, I asked the staff if I can stay an extra night and even if it was one of their busiest weeks of the year they were able to accommodate me and we didn't even have to switch rooms! I know this is not always possible so your experience may not be the same, but just the fact that they were able to accommodate us on such short notice I was really grateful.

There was a small balcony with partial ocean view but that's good enough. They have ocean view rooms too but I'd imagine they'd have to deal with all the noise from the main road between the hotel and the beach, and kids at the pool. We brought our own portable dehumidifier (the ac will cause high humidity level in the small room) and also plug in electric cooker so we were able to cook in the room, but there are plenty of good places to eat in walking distance .

In our Premium King room they had a coffee Keurig machine and a microwave, small kitchen sink, mini fridge (good working condition!), and a utensils and plates/bowls. Also, a small cutting board, dish drying rack, bottle opener, can opener, dish soap, dish washing rag and paper towl and rack. Everything you need for a long stay!!

Also a safe in the sizable closet, with shelve compartments Inside, a ironing board, iron, two bath robes...

Bring your own indoor slippers!!

The ac was quite strong and working well and we were perfectly happy to have it set at 72 daily

Our room was onthe first level just down the hall from the lobby but we were not bothered by any lobby noise and sometimes we could hear the elevator ding sounds but it was not bothersome at all. I do recommend bringing your own white noise machine though because the room does not provide it.

The hotel also provides beach pass/tag that you can use during your whole stay. Just don't lose it it will cost $100. And bring your own beach towels! There's a clean unisex bathroom in the lobby where you can change if you want to hang out at the beach until check in time (3pm), and they'll text you when your room is ready!

We got cleaning service every day during our stay and the cleaning staff are so friendly. You might find the pillows to be too soft so you should bring your own, but that's just my personal preference. Others might find it just right for them. The sheets are soft and clean and we had no issues with bugs at all.

The shower pressure was not that strong but absolutely good enough and we had no issue with this at all. There is ample hot water too so turn it up high based on your preference.

Chet is the operations manager and the other staff are very accommodating and kind. Everyone was just wonderful.

The Icona Cape may is where we will definitely go back...

I came to your location as I have been to your other location and I was very disappointed with your property. Me and my spouse went for a getaway and thought on trying this property. Well for 500.00 this is not worth it.there is no handicap parking as I am handicap. Then when you get in the room as we has room 302 and they call that a premium king bed room. Well that was a JOKE!! we wanted to sit outside on the deck and we had to move the chair out of the way so we can both sit there. Then we used the bathroom and next to the toilet on the vent there was some kind of stain that it looks like someone got sick on it and it was baked in and dried up.we both tried to take a couples shower and that was not a good idea as we were trying to have a nice romantic evening together. We went to the beach and the young man with glasses was so very nice as he took our chairs out there set them up and left a towels for us he was great. Then when the beach was closed and we headed back to the hotel we tried the poolside and it was clean too. But when we need a towels there were NONE!! The young man went to try to find some and said it will be some time and he did say he is sorry but who evered heard of a hotel running out of towels when you are paying again 500.00 a night. So we were dripping wet into the hotel to our room the one that had what kind of stains in the bathroom. When we went to the beach we had to sign out our beach badges and they said if lost they will charge 50.00 per badge the town charges 30 .00 per badge and here is another way you charge more.we have stayed at your other property s and loved them as you can have dinner er r and be served on the beach with no problem. We notice how you have a I think a 6o clock return time to diamond beach location but a 9 30 for Cape may. The shuttle driver was great!! Unfortunately your front desk couldn't recommend a restaurant or have any list to where is good seafood. To try to call in to your hotel is very hard to do as it rings and rings and no answer . You think you are like the other two properties but they are much better than yours as I would go there . When I brought this up to your staff the older man said I will take off the resort tax. Oh wow. He said he knew about it and that's it so why would you rent a room out like that? Idk. I did see what you other rooms look like like room 306 and that was nicer than mine and more room they said that is a king premium like ours but it was 2x the size as ours . I saw a standard room and that is the size of what we had . I have stayed in hi end hotels in Cape may and in there towns this was a huge disappointment as your name is everything you charge a price that would be for a full service place like your other property location but not this place is NOT WORTH IT!! I have been in the hospitality business for 30years and this was really not good. Thank you and I hope you change and fix the problems. Idk if I will be back at this location but you 1 person can tell 12 people and you know how quickly that it can travel and how hard it will be to gain the trust back. Feel free to e mail me I have no problem...
