Seve-N-Dots — Restaurant in Carlisle

This place is disgraceful and the food is disgustingly made. My husband picked up 2 cheesesteaks and some garlic knots. The guy who works there handed him the brown bag with everything inside it. Well, when my husband brought it home, I immediately pointed out the bag was completely drenched on the bottom. I yelled that it was soaked! After he handed me my cheesesteak, he opened the styrofoam container and said “oh, it’s the garlic knots”. And he said “the guy didn’t event tell me”. So I will say that it was very poorly packaged by the employee and he shouldn’t told my husband to be careful of how he holds the bag because or the oil from the garlic knots. That’s a big fail. Second, the cheesesteak was atrociously bad. How do you mess up a cheesesteak? Well, you start with the hoagie roll. Theirs was stale and dry. They didn’t even seem to toast it on the grill which is what you’re supposed to do. The steak meat was really dark in color, which isn’t normal and it was overly salty. The caramelized onions were way overcooked and barely there. The cheese was all dried up. The cook didn’t clean or separate the burnt charred pieces bc they were all over my food. You could see the black charred pieces on the bread, in the meat, and on the cheese. It’s just dirty and gross. They fail on so many levels that I’m astounded by the 5 star reviews. I guess most customers get the pizza but my husband was craving the cheesesteak. Honestly, I would just avoid this place. They clearly don’t care about quality and cleanliness. I was on my way home and was struck with a flat tire. My cell phone was dead, and the charger I had in my car wasn't working. :-( I just happened to pull over in front of Seve-N-Dots. It didn't look like much from the outside and I wasn't sure what to expect when I opened the door, but when I walked in, the place looked great. There was someone at the counter immediately to take my order. When I asked to use their phone, he allowed me with no questions asked. (I, of course, filled him in.) They allowed me to wait inside for my husband to come help, and didn't even expect that I should order dinner while I waited...but I'm glad I did! I ordered breadsticks and a pizza to go. The breadsticks were just how a like them...light and almost doughy. If you like them crisper, I'm sure you can request that, too. The pizza was good, although I don't think the meatballs were homemade like I was expecting...maybe I'm wrong (let me know if I am!). I would definitely go back, even though this place isn't on my normal path. They were really nice and that goes a long way. I'm excited for them to expand and include some cold subs and maybe some french fries (although, I guess it's way healthier without a fryer!). I'd definitely recommend...

Garlic knots: crispy and fresh with a strong garlic taste, sprinkled with subtle spice. Eating it alone is an amazing experience for your mouth if you are a garlic knots lover. Pairing it with their freshly made marinara sauce will make you question existence. Be warned: after tasting these garlic knots, you may never like my other garlic knots as much again.

White pizza: crusty and crispy but fluffy and soft. Ricotta cheese is extremely fresh and it blends nicely with the tomatoes, spinach, oil and spices. It’s difficult to stop eating.

Meatza pizza, plain cheese and veggie pizzas are all equally amazing and unique.

Cheesesteak: the thin steak meat absorbs the flavors of the onions and American cheese that is rare to find in a good cheesesteak. The bread is perfectly toasted and also has a unique flavor to it.
