Well... Our room was not ready when we arrived an hour after check in time. We arrived after 5pm. The rug in the living room was FILTHY you could feel the stains and dirt on your bare feet. The tub in the master bath was missing a lever which caused the water to shut off having us call maintenance. The bathroom fans do not shut off and are pretty loud. Well they told us the fans are hooked up to the building not to a switch in the bathrooms so there was nothing they could do except give us a new room. As for the lever that was missing in the big tub we were actually accused of breaking it by the maintenance guy he kept dancing around the fact that it should be there, what happened to it ? When in reality after he took the faucet apart he found it wasn't there. We were also told that there was nothing he could do as he didn't have the part to replace it so he showed us how to stick something like a knife into where the lever goes to push down the button on the inside in case the water went off again in case the water shut off again. We had to live with it or we can get a new room. As for the carpet they maintenance was there and they did look at the rug they took pictures of it and then they offered us a new room or that they could come and take it and wash it and then bring it back or we could have a new room. They did come and take it away they told us they were going to wash it and bring it back well we never had the rug again they never brought it back. You may wonder why we never took them on the offer of a new Room, that's because there were four of us and we had already unpacked we had already brought up with several trips to groceries for the whole week that we were going to be up there and had already placed all the groceries away we basically did a lot of work to do this and not once when they offered us a new room did they say that they would help us move any of this or where this room would be and as they didn't even offer us a free drink or anything complimentary for all the inconvenience there was no way we were going to take a chance of having to Lug all this stuff to another room on our own. Besides I was there as a guest of my sister who is an elite partner owner whatever they call them with this resort and I expected more from all the inconvenience not once did they say here why don't you go to dinner on us while we fix this or here why don't we give you a free drink not once we we offered anything for the less than Easy 8/Motel 6...
Read moreWe stayed at the MarBrisa Hilton and overall had a mixed experience. Some highlights, but also some clear areas for improvement.
Pros: Room Size: The suite was a good size, with a queen bed and a loveseat. Plenty of space to move around, which we appreciated.
Staff: Friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.
Pools & Jacuzzis: Two nice pools and three jacuzzis (though one is reserved for owners). The pool area also has the Cove Bar & Grill, open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., which was very convenient.
Activities: They run daily morning and afternoon activities, geared mostly toward families, which makes it a solid family-friendly resort.
Shuttles: Complimentary shuttles run from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. across campus, which made getting around easy.
Laundry: Each building has its own laundry room, free to use—huge plus.
Pet-Friendly: Nice walking areas for dogs, and there’s a private entrance directly to Legoland, which is great for families.
Cons: Coffee: There is none onsite, which was disappointing. Guests are told to buy it across the street at the Sheraton.
Storage Space: The room was large but poorly designed for storage. Only nightstand drawers and two small drawers under the TV. Half the closet was inaccessible because of the loveseat, which was frustrating.
Bathroom Setup: A bit awkward—towel racks are inside the shower (not ideal), and there’s no real space for towels elsewhere except balancing them on the tiny sink edge.
Spiders: Be prepared—there were some huge spiders around the property.
Walkability: While the resort itself is walkable, the surrounding city is not. To get to the nearby outlets, you either have to walk along a busy main street or use the Legoland shortcut (only open until 10 p.m.). Without a car or rideshare, the area feels pretty isolated.
Overall: MarBrisa Hilton has a lot going for it spacious rooms, family-friendly amenities, and convenient access to Legoland. However, the lack of basic things like coffee, poor storage design, and limited walkability outside the property hold it back from being a truly...
Read moreMe and my young family of 5 total stayed here for a week. We enjoyed one day at disneyland, one day at legoland, several days just around the resort, and several others around the area on trails and beaches. The location of the resort is fantastic all around and impossible to beat. For the price the rooms were very nice and very spacious. The kitchen with dining table was a life saver for saving money on some of our main meals, plus being able to utilize a lot of the resort amenities made it a fantastic choice for "free" entertainment some of the days instead of continually spending money at amusement parks every day of the vacation. The rooms were overall really good and really clean. We requested daily cleaning and they did a great job each time. We also had a small grass area outside of our 1st floor patio/balcony that was great for the kids to play in. The pool area with several pools, hot tubs, gaming space, fire pits and more was awesome so we spent a lot of time there. Towels were always available which is a nice perk. My only knock is that the pool area needs a little more TLC between days. They come through and pick up the obvious trash and used towels each night, but there is always a lot of leftover small garbage and food around that made things a little bit gross at times, so you have to watch where you step and where you sit. Additionally, my only other small complaint was the paper thin walls between rooms. We could very clearly hear our neighbors at night when they would get back to their rooms. They were not being obnoxious or partying, but yet their normal talking was enough to wake us all up each night and all 5 of us would have to share the bed in the other room and close the door.
Overall we had a fantastic time, and will likely stay here again on our next trip, and probably just request a room on the end of one of the buildings if possible to reduce the number of neighbors.
I would give it a 4.5/5.0 but have to chose 4.0 due to limited...
