Let me tell you a lot about this restaurant: My brother and I decided to go out for dinner while we were staying at sharoton hotel. We of course out of convenience pick their on site restaurant the 7 mile kitchen. The name is catchy, I must admit but I have, sadly, no idea what it means. As we walked into the place I was struck by the atmosphere. The decorations were unique and fun and the view was splendid but I have to admit the rest was quite depressing. We came at around 5:30 but the restaurant was dead other than a family who seemed to be quite hangry at a table near the entrance. There was no background music and there was an obnoxious tv in the corner that was quite distracting. We walked to the desk where the hostess, Simon, met us. He was polite and very nice but seemed bored, sad, and wishing that he could be out at the beach rather than working as a hostess. We continued to our table, a squishy booth with a table that was mostly sanitary other than a few funky stains and spots. Our waiter came to greet us by the name of Edgar. He was very studious. He gave us water which was very nice even though it tasted like butt, but that’s California water for you. But back to our experience, we then looked through the menu and chose the margarita pizza, mushroom truffle pizza, and a Cesar salad and Edgar very kindly took our order with his cute notepad. We then waited for a respectable 15 minutes for a dinner. In the mean time we drank our butt water and watched the other waiters do their job, Reynard and Charlie. They seemed to be doing splendid Reynard was very very nice and Charlie did a great job cleaning up the food that some kid dropped all over the floor. She did it with a bright smile on her face and she looked like she was having a sunny day. A lady by the name of Megan brought out our food. Let me tell you a little bit about Megan. She, according to her name tag, was IN to gardening. That’s all I know about Megan. Now on to the food:
Cesar salad- greens= fresh, delicious and CRISPY, dressing=mhmmmmmmmmmm yummmy all in all would def recommend
Margarita pizza- at first glance and last glance it looks like cheese pizza. First bite and last bite, looks like cheese pizza. But it was quite enjoyable! It was a little soggy but the tomato sauce was SPLENDID and the motzerrepla was great. Sometimes it all fell off the crust though like a slip in slide
Truffle pizza- As I toke my first bite the flavors rushed into my mouth. The main one being BURNT crust. It was CHARRED like when charazard breathes on a peice of wood. Other than that it was actually pretty tasty 😋.
Portions- 1 pizza per HUNGRY person 🎅🏼
Next a lady by the name of Ashlyn took our plates away. She was bubbly an warm and just overall a very nice person! She get an A+!!!!
Then Edgar came over with a bamboo check thing and we paid. Then we left the table and walked into the hotel lobby listening to SCREAMING kids.
Overall Rating 3.85869684858685848585/5 ⭐️ 7.85736274846485848/10 B- Emoji rating- 🙂
Tips: Keep up the good work, get the cooking down on those pizzas 🍕 be a weee bit better. Waiters - you...
Read more🚩🚩🚩 Dont waste your time! My family and I spent the week of Christmas vacation at the Hilton Grand Vacation resort. Each morning we explored different restaurants within the surrounding compound and this location was the WORST!! Being that it was the holidays we made sure to make a reservation (10:15am) and arrive timely. Upon arrival we were met with an empty hostess stand and two other families waiting. In observing the space every single table that was not occupied with guests was filled with dirty dishes. I counted 9 all visible from the front area. As we waited the staff ignored us. No greeting, eye contact, no brief update/apology, no effort to take our name. Nothing. After 15 minutes one staff came over still avoiding eye contact with me and my family started speaking with the other family. Through active listening, I learned there was a party of 9 and 4. Neither had a reservation. The party of 9 was helped first. When the staff member returned she went to the party of 4 family waiting saying ‘ you all were here first correct?’ I immediately jumped in and said we had a 10:15 reservation time. (Which by then was well beyond time), I insisted she continue to seat them. She apologized and continued with the party. By then another 10 minutes had passed. She approached again asked us how many in our party. We informed her and followed up with a question of what’s going on with service here today. She replied lack of staff so the main focus was attending to dining guests to get food out. (This should always be the goal, incoming guest experience shouldn’t be compromised with way). We were walked to our table facing the pool and outside bar area. No silverware. Dirty/dusty table. Our drink order was taken. Half party wanted decaf unfortunately unavailable as coffee machine was down. Only regular. Strange. Our waiter soon followed. We ordered. Food came out but was Mediocre at best. Clearly there is a management issue here and it needs to be addressed. Several members in my family have years of restaurant and hospitality experience. Sheraton and who ever runs 7mile need to be evaluated. I’m happy to talk to corporate about this issue. We honestly should’ve been refunded for the very overpriced meal. Do not recommend this establishment. New management...
Read moreDuring our stay, I stopped by the Grab and Go every morning between 6:30–6:50 a.m. while walking my dog. The staff were always kind, service was quick, and it became part of my morning routine. Prices are on the higher side—a medium coffee ran $7.76—but the quality and consistency made it worth the splurge. Over the week, I tried:
Caramel Macchiato
White Chocolate Mocha
Dirty Chai
Iced Coffee
Regular Coffee
All were well-made, smooth, and gave me the caffeine kick I was looking for.
On our last day, we sat down at the restaurant for breakfast before heading to the airport, and I wish we had done this sooner. We both ordered the Breakfast Sandwich with Breakfast Potatoes, and it ended up being one of the best meals of our trip. The sandwich was big enough to share, with fluffy eggs, perfectly thick turkey, fresh avocado and tomato, and melty cheese that I surprisingly loved—even though I don’t usually like cheese with eggs. The breakfast potatoes, however, were underwhelming; they would have been much better if cooked with the peppers and onions for more flavor.
What really stood out was the staff—they were warm, welcoming, and all loved my service dog. They made sure we were served quickly, knowing we were on a tight schedule before the airport.
Overall, an amazing experience. The Grab and Go was convenient and consistent, and the sit-down restaurant delivered a delicious breakfast. My only regret is not trying their lunch or dinner while we...
