Worst family vacation ever.
I want to use this as a cautionary tale for any other parents planning a trip for their kids. This was my experience but it was a terrible one.
We stayed at this hotel for a weekend to celebrate my son's birthday, and from the night we arrived until the day we left, it was a visit that went progressively worse.
The night we got in, we were "greeted" by our upstairs neighbors making more noise than midnight on new years and stomping as if there visit depended on it.
When I went to the desk and was able to speak with someone, they assured me that the family above us was gone, so the noise should be gone.
What they didn't tell us was that when I would leave to go get lunch and allow my wife to take a break/nap in our hotel room while our son enjoyed the room, that someone (presumably staff, well hopefully) would enter our room without announcing themselves and only leave once they were heard and realized whatever their previous intention was, was spotted.
That evening, we were again met by band and marching practice from around midnight to 8am and when I contacted management to figure out what happened with our unwelcomed guest and the loud night, I was told they would "investigate" the visitor and refund us for the inconvenience along with giving us a credit to use in the park.
Well, imagine my surprise when trying to use said credit in the park, and being told, we couldn't because we weren't checked in the room anymore. Ok, no big deal, I'll get my refund.
Monday came and went without receiving any calls or refunds, so I contacted the hotel by Tuesday to check the status. Refund? Why, they had no record of that? Info on our visitor? What visitor?
If you've gotten this far, I implore you...maybe look into going to stay somewhere else. Don't go through what we went through, just to be told it didn't matter or happen. We are also annual pass members (for the next couple of days anyway until I can cancel it) so if this is how they treat someone whose a regular, I can't imagine what someone who isn't a regular may go...
Read moreWe stayed here a year ago and enjoyed it so much that we decided to get an annual pass for this year. We stayed here a month ago and were disappointed that so many rides and exhibits were shut down. Then a water outage one morning that meant we couldn't shower or use the restroom before starting our day. Our compensation- 4 extra bottles of water. Also, no lanyards or badges at the hotel because of "inventory issues." Rides we're late to open because of lack of staff. This current stay is by far the worst. Our room wasn't ready at check in time and we were told that check in time "wasn't guaranteed per the website." All the logos in the room are yellow...I don't have anything against yellow, but kind of limits the creativity for the in room play 😆 Our next day, our kids excitedly opened the safe expecting a set of Legos. No Legos. When I went to ask about it, I was told that "per the website" they're only giving one set per kid on arrival day "because of inventory". There are minor word changes on the website that a return guest would not see. If Legoland is going to cheap out so much to stop doing the daily Legos- tell the parents at check in so they can prepare their kids and mitigate disappointment. Or better yet- give the Lego sets! They are a small price for LEGO compared to the cost of the room, not to mention the crazy amount spent in the park. Seriously. Also- the same rides are still shut down and now areas of the play area are roped off too. The room is the wires we've stayed in too. The refrigerator freezer was full of ice in the refrigerator was tipping out of its little cubby. We had to wait 20 minutes between pass and showers for the bathtub to drain... Unless we wanted to stand in dirty so be water. The room was clean though and the housekeeping staff and bellhops are very nice. What's going...
Read morelots to do here. we stayed 3 nights and it was ok but fun but yet stressful in a way. check in says 4 pm we didnt get the text to go to check in till almost 5 pm and after driving 22 hrs i just wanted to get to a bed specially with 2 littles. staff mixed up rooms with what we had ordered online and wanted to charge us more to fix it when we had proof that our room was supposed to be friends not duplo. rooms were big loved how kids have their own little area. water pressure SUCKS!!!! arcade is a total rip off i actually told my kid no to an arcade for once.150 credits to play one game and $20 gets you 200 credits. highway robbery!! 6.free breakfast was pretty decent lots to choose from bell service is nice but few workers completely no cash, all card the interactions through out park and in hotel are fun and entertaining. pool is not super deep but perfect. and i love how the life guards are always moving and watching everything is extremely overpriced!!! some legos were neat and decently priced. water park was a joke. half the rides were closed then theres a line to get into lazy river(never heard of a q line for lazy river at any of the water parks weve been to) beds were comfortable and big love the tablet help thats in room 15.having no microwave in room sucks! theres tax on everything even parking at end of stay check in help was good at times when i had questions about park they were helpful other times i felt like i was a nuisance. 18 lot of people upstairs were running like at midnight and early morning and u could here it :(
youd think for spending $2k to stay here for 3 nights for vacation itd be perfect . but i will say it was not perfect but it was still a good stay my kids did...
