Best Western Allatoona Inn & Suites — Hotel in Cartersville

I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all. There are many issues with this hotel.

1. The front desk person was really rude. I was there at around 30mins before the check in time at around 2:30pm. I requested if I check in earlier but he said the room was not cleaned if though the room that I was checked in was clean. I was waiting outside of the room get in and no one was cleaning there.
2. The door lock of the room was not working properly. It was literally you have to try for 5 minutes to open it. I complained about it to the front desk, the guy said, he will look into it but nobody came while my 3 nights stay at the hotel.
3. When i went inside the room The A/C was in off mode.
4. The coffee maker was not cleaned.
5. The boxes for body wash and shampoo were empty.
6. They have posted in the advertisements that they will provide Ethernet cable for high speed internet. When I asked for the cable, they says they have stopped providing it. (I am not saying we need to b provided the high speed internet,though it would be nice if they do, but please do not false advertise at least.
7. The second night smoke detector was making noise... the battery of it was dead. So I called front desk and ask if someone could come and replace the battery, she says there was no one and she don't know what battery does it need. So either I have to wait until next day or do it myself. I would have done it myself only if the lady at the front desk was not rude over the phone. So I waited till the next day to get it fixed.

I would not have stay there since they had so much of problems, only if I had the choice. I was there due to hurricane Irma and all the hotels were booked. That was the only hotel I found. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER in my whole BEST WESTERN...

My husband, 4 month old baby, and I stopped here to try and get a few hours of rest during our long road trip. Location was convenient, however, when we got into the room we noticed a couple dead roaches which wasn’t super alarming until after about 45min of trying to get settled in, ROACHES started coming from out of the wood works. One even crawled in the the bed myself and baby were going to sleep in while we were literally sitting on it!! ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! So we pack everything up and go to try and get our money back so we can go find another hotel and the guy would not give me any of my money and said it was policy if you are in the room for an hour! but when I asked to see said “policy” he would not let me. I understand keeping the deposit but not everything. Especially since the room was unclean and had frikin roaches using it as their hangout spot! I wasn’t trying to be a “Karen” but it’s one thing to have a small petty reason to want a refund but roaches everywhere including the bed was completely unacceptable! We went back and forth for a good 20min before he finally called for the manager. When she came the employee tried to play it down and said I wanted a refund because of some bugs. Oh noooo buddy not just any kind of bug but frikin roaches!! She ended up getting a hold of someone and finally gave me only some of my money back but not all of it! They kept the deposit and a part of the actual cost of the room! DO NOT i repeat DO NOT stop here to stay unless you don’t mind sharing your space with roaches and getting ripped off. We arrived before 3pm checkin, and were made to wait 'for a room to be ready' at 3, yet we never saw a cleaning person working on the rooms. We have never been made to wait for checkin time, at any other Best Western in Canada or USA, and we have stayed at over 50 of them. While we waited, we were alarmed to see an exterminator truck pull in beside us. The driver assured us that he was there for maintenance, and not due to a problem. The fridge didn't work in our first room. A man came and 'fixed it', but it wasn't fixed and started leaking water on the floor. The cleaning lady who came next, wanted to solve the problem by leaving us a rag to wipe up the leaks. Not happy. So we went to the front desk and were switched to another room. It smelled badly of cigarette smoke. So we went back again to the front desk, and were given another room. It smelled badly of smoke. So back to the front desk yet again, and finally our 4th room had a working fridge and was not smoke filled. The bathroom in 2 of these rooms were quite outdated and grungy. The mattresses had seen their better day and they made a crunching sound when you moved on them. The breakfast lady was very 'carefree' in that there was no coffee, no forks, very few sausages, and the garbage cans were overflowing. She was more interested in a very long conversation with another guest to notice us trying to ask to get a refill on the coffee maker.
