Where do I start? For the first time last week, we tried this location. The daytime crew is awesome hands down, but everyone should avoid the nighttime crew. I’ve never been so disappointed, disrespected, and stereotyped in my life.
My husband is a Tik Tok fan; He often follows any trends and likes to try new things. As he explained what he wanted, the waitress automatically stated, “I can make it for you but it’s really expensive”. I immediately was puzzled as she would question the amount we could pay. So, we stayed and tried to work through things. We ordered our food and drinks and waited patiently for everything to arrive.
The visit got even worse. We had to ask for our drinks, when our food arrived at the table. We also had to ask for spoons and syrup. Not to mention the order was incorrect. I received a hashbrown bowl instead of a grit bowl and my waffle was missing. I even worked through this and said you don’t have to remake it; I will just take a bowl of grits and scrape off my eggs, sausage and cheese. Of course, the story doesn’t end there.
When she brought my bowl of grits along with it came my missing waffle. I kindly asked for more butter. She questioned me and said, “you need more butter than what’s there?” I kindly replied yes please. Mind you, I only received one package of butter to share between my big bowl of grits and waffle. She walked away from our table and went to take someone else’s order to go.
We continuously had to ask for things, but we felt ignored. More people came in, and she never returned to our table to serve us at all. She treated us as if we were not there at all. No more check-ins, no drink refills, and we definitely didn’t get the butter I asked for. So, my meal that was incorrect that I had to put together was a complete waste because the grits were horrible without the butter and salt.
This visit made me feel like an inconvenience and problem if I asked for things. On top of this, it made us feel stereotyped and like we no longer mattered when customers of a different race came in. Due to this visit and the type of discrimination shown, we will not be returning to this...
Read moreWe were recommended to Waffle House by multiple people we were visiting Georgia with, so our party decided to drop by and see what all the buzz was about. The restaurant was clean enough, and we waited about 25-30 minutes for our food, which was freshly made to order for us. We ended up having two waitresses, Kristin and Candace, take care of us, and they were wonderfully friendly and attentive. They elevated the whole experience by quickly getting us our drinks and nailing our order (which we had modified several times while ordering).
Our whole party loved the breakfast food, the orange juice quality was good and one member of my party claimed that the sausage tasted just like how their grandmother made it. And yes, my blueberry waffle was delicious. The hashbrowns with onions were probably some of the best I’ve had (it beats diner hashbrowns up in the Northeast). Waffle House was a very solid choice that lived up to everything we had...
Read moreAll that work redoing the building and the staff is garbage. Ordered to go on a Sunday morning, yeah that's one of their busiest times, but its been their busiest time every Sunday for the last 50 years so they can't really use that as an excuse. We live 5 minutes away, food was ice cold by the time we got home. Instead of putting the chocolate chips on the waffle so they melt like every other WH normally does they put them in a separate cup and they put the bacon on top of the waffle? Weird...but got home and had to put the chocolate chips on the waffle then microwave it because it was too cold to melt them itself. They forgot cheese that we asked for on scrambled eggs. They left bacon off a sandwich that is supposed to come with bacon. They didn't include straws. I guess we'll keep going to the 411 location for now, maybe we'll try this one again in 6 months, hopefully these are just growing pains and not the new norm for...
