Yesterday, Easter Sunday 2025, we had placed a pick up order the day before on Saturday. We ordered the fried chicken meal plus two other orders plus 3 half gallons of tea, to the total of over $110.00. We selected a pick up time for 12:30pm. We arrived at 12:23pm and checked in that we were there.
For reference, I am three weeks post-op from a cervical neck fusion that keeps me home bound for nearly 6 months for healing. I am in a neck brace and was only allowed by my surgeon to go to my sons home in Acworth for lunch for Easter. I shouldn't be in a car to begin with. It was my first time out except for a post op check up since my surgery!
We waited about 20 minutes and my husband went in to check on our order. He spoke with the manager who said "she'd look into it", he told her that we ordered the Fried Chicken Dinner and two other meals. She sarcastically said, "well, that's your first mistake! You should have ordered the ham dinner!" (That dinner comes refrigerated and you have to heat up and it takes almost an hour to heat up everything! We've ordered that meal before, so we know how time consuming it is). We wanted something we could just open and eat!
My Husband came back out to the car and we waited ANOTHER 20 minutes and NOTHING! He went back in to speak to the manager, she tried to dodge him be he stopped her cold!! He asked about our meal again and was given excuse after excuse, never apologizing. The restaurant is always packed and it wasn't the kitchens fault, it wasn't the servers fault, it was POOR MANAGEMENT on her part! She should prepared for Easter Sunday and have had staff working on take out orders and for inside dining. The workers were being worked to death but still managed to be nice and friendly!
We fould out that our order wasn't put in until my husband went in the second time!! We waited nearly an hour for our take out meal to be brought out to us!!
The manager was rude, didn't care, didn't apologize and made every excuse possible except take the blame for not preparing for a busy holuday! She dies not need to be in a...
Read moreWe eat here every week or two. The food is usually good but service is slow & they take forever seating people even when there's open seats. May 8 we dined in for lunch. Our waitress was ridiculously rude, which is uncommon here. I ticked her off because I asked if I could purchase an extra $5 take home meal as I was taking these meals to the nursing home. She told me absolutely not. The lady dining beside my table heard her rude reply & told me that she was not buying one & I could buy hers since the waitress said only one take home meal per person. When I told the waitress she blew up & walked away with me and the lady trying to calmly explain to her that she was not going to use her deal and that I could use the deal. We were trying to explain it was for an elderly vet. I always take my parents a meal to the nursing home. There is a elderly vet who always asks for a meal when I visit. The waitress returned and said her manager said I could only this once and not to ask again because it's against policy. The waitress from then on ignored my table, refusing to refill my tea, and when I ask for a to go box, she sent another girl to our table. When she brought me my ticket, she slammed the ticket so hard on my to-go box that she cracked the lid and did not apologize or even bother telling us goodbye or thanking us for our service. When I paid for our meals, I heard another employee state that the store manager was in a meeting so the waitress obviously lied when she said her store manager told me not to ask again. We have been coming to this location for 2 years. We come every week to two weeks. And we will not be back. Two weeks before, I brought my family of six & we did not purchase $5 take home meals. Not everyone purchases these deals so there was no need to behave in such a manner over something so frivolous as a $5 meal! I will not be spending my hard earned money at this location. I treated this waitress with dignity & respect, and I expect the same...
Read moreAbsolute worst experience at a restaurant ever .took my family to Cracker Barrel in Cartersville off exit 290 we arrived at 655 pm and checked in and waited patiently for over a hour to get a table.once we finally got seated we asked to turn the air down as it was super cold everyone had jackets on and the kids at adjacent table had their jackets on and had a blanket as well!it took speaking to manager to get them to change temp as we asked waitress and she said it’s set by corporate and can’t be adjusted…so we ordered drinks and biscuits and cornbread which it took 20 minutes to get the drinks and had to ask again to get the bread. When it arrived 15 min later no cornbread when waitress finally brought food an hour after we had ordered it I asked for the cornbread and was told it was to late they stopped making it for evening so we proceed to ask for refills on our drinks and start eating after taking over an hour to get our food it was ice cold!and the steak was rare instead of well done as we ordered when we asked the waitress she replied she didn’t know what we’ll done was that she was vegetarian! Worst experience went home hungry and disappointed we will not return waitress was very rude and abrasive and did not check in on us for refills or try to accommodate in any way for all the issues when we spoke to the manager he didn’t seem to want to listen to us just offer a free meal which we turned down as we paid for the food and left a decent tip on table just because of who we are but definitely not deserved .we never leave reviews and don’t ever complain but this ruined our family’s dinner and evening and I just hope this review will save someone and or their family a terrible experience and horrible food and awful customer service attached is a picture of the supposed to be well done steak I had no way to show that food was less than room temp after waiting over an hour but anyway completely...
