I recently had the pleasure of staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton, and I must say it was a wonderful experience overall. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a delicious freshly baked cookie, which was a delightful touch. The hotel's location was excellent, conveniently situated near various attractions and within walking distance of popular restaurants and shops. The lobby was elegantly designed, creating a welcoming ambiance that immediately set the tone for a pleasant stay. Upon entering my room, I was impressed by its cleanliness and modern decor. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, offering a restful night's sleep after a long day of exploring the city. The room amenities were thoughtfully provided, including a well-stocked minibar, a safe for valuables, and a flat-screen TV with a wide selection of channels. One aspect that stood out during my stay was the exceptional customer service. The staff members were consistently attentive, friendly, and accommodating. Whether I needed assistance with local recommendations or required additional amenities, they were always eager to help. The hotel's dining options were diverse and satisfying. The breakfast buffet offered a variety of delicious choices, catering to different dietary preferences. I also had the opportunity to dine at the hotel's restaurant for dinner, and the food was both flavorful and expertly prepared. Facility-wise, the DoubleTree by Hilton provided excellent amenities to enhance my stay. The fitness center was well-equipped and maintained, allowing me to maintain my workout routine while on the road. Additionally, the business center was convenient for any work-related needs. The only reason I didn't give this hotel a full five-star rating was because of occasional noise disturbances from neighboring rooms, which slightly affected my sleep quality. However, the hotel staff was responsive when I raised this concern, and they promptly addressed the issue. Overall, my stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton was highly enjoyable. The combination of comfortable accommodations, attentive service, and convenient location made it an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers. I would definitely consider staying here again on future visits to the city. Do not stay here, it is horrible. Looks nice on the outside but inside is smelly, Stinky, old and dirty. Front desk was extremely unhelpful, rude, intimidating, and “don’t care” like. At the front desk the manager told us that they were fully booked and had no rooms available at all, but we called Hilton reservations and they couldn’t understand why the hotel was so dishonest. They said there were multiple rooms available and they booked a room for us as we stood next to the manageress who was saying there were no rooms available at all. THIS THE ANSWER TO YOUR REPLY; (Your reply was dishonest as expected) We had originally made full payment to “Hilton Grand Vacations” to stay at this hotel. We traveled from another country, got our rental car and were extremely looking forward to get to the hotel. When we gave you our reservation documents, you threw it back at us and told us that “Hilton Grand Vacations” had forgotten to send you the reservation and you had no rooms available at all at this time. You said that you were the manageress. We told you that it was late evening and we are stranded and had no place to go. We said that it was a Hilton problem and you are also Hilton, call them and sort it out but you said it was not your problem. We were frantically calling every where until Hilton Reservations forced us to accept to pay over $1300 to stay there for the same period that we had already fully paid to “Hilton Grand Vacation” to stay there. HAD YOU BEEN JUST A LITTLE MORE CARING, OUR VACATION WOULD HAVE NOT BEEN SO RUINED. I understand that you were angry with “Hilton Grand Vacations” because you thought they didn’t do their job properly but you shouldn’t have pointed your anger at us, we were just a customer with no fault. It should’ve been a fight between 2 sections of Hilton but somehow you put us in the middle of your fight. Below is the view of the room you gave us and that is the balcony. SHAME ON HILTON , not doing enough to stop this kind of behavior by their staffs and destroying one’s vacation. We are awaiting Hilton resolution.

We had a promising check-in. The front desk was always friendly. When we got to our room, it was freezing (January). We turned the heat up, but nothing turned on. We turned it up to the 80s, and still nothing. No air. We talked to the front desk, and she denied knowing of any issue with this. Someone else on our crew in the hotel warned us that his room had the same problem. When we got the head of maintenance, he brought a space heater and said it’s a problem he cannot fix across the whole hotel. The space heater helped, but our room was cold every time we got back, and we needed a warm place. The bathroom was large, and it felt roomy. The bathroom door creaked loud. The floors were pretty dirty in the bathroom. I wiped the desk and counters off with a Lysol wipe, and they were also dirty. When I finally got into bed, my son told me to look behind me. I looked up to the ceiling above the headboard to find the biggest cob webs I’ve ever seen in a hotel. They stretched from the corner to the other side of the bed. They were filthy as well. Needless to say, I had a hard time sleeping that night. Sounds in the hallways were minimal compared to other hotels. Parking was kind of far from the entrance. I could have had extra places to plug things in. I counted 3 outlets, but one had the light plugged in, and we had to use the outlet that was on the light for the space heater. It was a very nice site, so we had high hopes, but it wasn’t a good experience for us. The balcony was against two roof peaks, so it was useless.

I recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Cathedral City for 4 nights (February 27th - March 3rd) as I was attending a conference. As a participant traveling from out-of-the area and staying at this property, guests are at the mercy of hotel accommodations and safety protocols. Unfortunately, on the morning of March 2nd I started my day off by discovering that all four of my tires and rims were stolen off of my brand new 2022 Ford Explorer Timberline. When I went to the front desk to ask for cameras, I was told there was none in the parking lot. However, staff was quick to mention that there were signs that read "guests park at their own risk". Besides being completely tone deaf, she told me the next step was to file a police report. She never offered any assistance or support. Didn't even offer to call the police for an incident that occurred on their property. At this point I no longer felt like a guest of this hotel.

The police reported to me that this was not the first time this had happened at this hotel. He made several remarks, which included that the hotel should have cameras, along with a security person to walk the parking lot and property. He continued by saying this location is near the freeway and that thieves know people are asleep in the middle of the night. With no security cameras or patrol to monitor the property, in essence thieves can have a field day at the expense of hotel guests. To add more fuel to my anger and disappointment with their safety protocols. The tow truck driver told me he personally had to tow another vehicle from this parking lot a little over two weeks ago. He even showed me the area where the bricks still laid in the parking lot (even near the hotel entrance). He had to tow that guest to Riverside costing her over $1200. Since I was delivering it local, it was $455.

With all of this information, I am appalled that there is no accountability from this hotel to try and at least prevent these crimes. There are no deterrents and apparently thieves know it. It almost feels like an inside job. There's a conference this week, come take a look in our parking lot. Two identical thefts in less than three weeks is unacceptable. The police are aware of it, towing companies are aware of it, and now I want to make everyone of it!

I tried to report it to the General Manager (Jim Pulver) on Thursday. However, his door was closed and apparently couldn't be bothered. When I asked for his business card on Friday morning, the front desk said they were in his locked office. I had to ask them to write his contact information on a piece of paper. The way the staff responded to this entire incident speaks volumes of their leaders and company culture. I expected much better from any hospitality establishment that has the Hilton brand and reputation.

After reading several other reviews on Yelp and my personal experience. Jim you have way too many theft incidents occurring...

The Doubletree Golf Resort Palm Springs has a great, quiet location in Cathedral City right on the border of Palm Springs. The views are phenomenal (see photos). The staff was top notch and took good care when things weren’t right. ||As for the rooms – they are in desperate need of refurbishment. I ended up having two rooms and here was my experience. ||Room 1 – this 4th floor room should have been taken out of their inventory! The TV and entertainment options were good – streaming options or plug in your own devices. The views from the balcony over the golf course and mountains were beautiful. The bathroom is huge and has two vanities. That’s where the good ends. The closet doors were difficult to open and made lots of noise. The furniture had lots of wear and tear. The black out drapes did not close all the way (had to use a hanger to make it truly black out) and the drapes had holes in them. The shower had dark gray in some of the grout and the shower head had lots of calcium caked on it. The worst part of the room…I woke up at 12:30am freezing cold. Turned on the heat and after 15 minutes it was still blowing cool air. 45 minutes later and the heat did not work. I ended up shutting it off and still felt a draft – turns out there was a gap between the sliding door to the patio and the stationary pane of glass and cold air was coming in that way. I had to cover myself with the other 3 pillows to have enough heat to get through the night. ||I went to the front desk the next morning at 7am to complain, especially since I barely slept. Jonathan was very sympathetic and gave me a space heater and said engineering would be up to look at the heater. Turns out, the heater and a/c in that room did not work. I left at 10:30 with engineering still not showing up and came back at 2:30 to find out they never came, the air was still blowing cool. Jonathan then changed my room to one on the 3rd floor. He was very kind and was happy to move me so that I could actually sleep. No other compensation was offered for such a shabby room with no heat - I expected at least to have the resort fee removed. ||Room 2 – this room was way better than the 1st. To start, the 3rd floor seemed more well taken care of than the 4th. The 4th floor carpet and hallways felt dirty, but the 3rd floor felt newer. The heat and a/c worked well, the drapes didn’t have holes, and the shower was clean and lacking calcium deposits. Even the toilet was newer and the closet doors worked seamless. ||I did eat downstairs at the bar one night and the food was delicious (they have gluten free options) and the drinks were fantastic. The staff at the bar and in the restaurant for breakfast were very pleasant and kind. The staff really made up for the tired rooms. So, I guess it is hit or miss with rooms at this hotel. Even the 2nd room could use a refresh and I hope they get a renovation going soon as the hotel could be a prime destination in the Palm...

Wow! I've never been disappointed to this extent. Over $300 for one night, the most BASIC room possible and it was disgusting. Where do I begin? called to make a reservation, specified which room I wanted. They said they could assist me. I asked if their prices are different vs the website, girl said she'll give me a discount (around $40). I booked it. She said check-in is at 2:00 pm & checkout is at 11:00 am. -arrived on Saturday to check in at 2:00 pm....it wasn't until 4:00 pm!! We had to wait around for 2 hours (please keep in mind we have 2 young children & drove around 1.5 hours to get there). -went back & checked into our room a few minutes after 4:00 pm. Go to our room....gnats everywhere!!! Dead and alive!! Tried to call front desk to let them know, they said they couldn't change our room. Plus it wasn't the room I reserved! They didn't even care when I told them the room was wrong. We wanted a fire pit but they gave us a different type of room. -tried to make the best of it. Went to the pool. Guess what? Someone threw up in the damn pool and these nasty people who work here didn't tell anyone to get out of the pool, didn't close the pool, & didn't bother to clean it! Literally left the throw up in there (made its way to a corner in the deep end) & acted like nothing was wrong. The two spas they had were full of algae & one had a lot of debris that needed to be removed. The pool needs a lot of repairs too. -couldn't sleep good, our allergies were out of control! Well I guess if you leave dust and cobwebs everywhere it starts to irritate peoples breathing huh? The vent above the toilet had a thick layer of dust & the top of the closet shelf did too. Woke up with gnats on us & the bed. So disgusting. -used the iron before checking out. Stupid thing was broken. Burned our clothes & kept leaking water! I called to ask for a new one. Waited for over an hour, they never brought us one. Ruined a brand new shirt.

Will I return? HELL NO!!! I tried to tell the assistant supervisor about our disappointment with our stay when checking out; all she waived was the "resort fee" of $30. She straight out said "I heard about that" when I told her how we couldn't even enjoy the pool because it looked like someone threw up in there. She admitted they knew someone threw up. But no one closed the pool?!?!? Isn't this a health hazard/ concern????!!!!???? They admitted the gnats are all over the section our room was in, like it was a normal thing for guests to have in their rooms. This is the grossest hotel I've ever stayed at. I do NOT recommend and will never return! The worst part... this was for my husband's birthday, we didn't even enjoy ourselves. I feel like holiday inn would have done a better job for...
