Mountain View Grille at the Desert Princess — Restaurant in Cathedral City

Stopped in for breakfast and there were 2 guests inside and 2 guests outside but no employees ...walked around saying HELLO for 5 minutes with no response. Went over to the golf store to ask if anyone was working at the restaurant and the worker went over into the kitchen and came back with Micheal.. we asked to be seated and for coffee since we had already waited so long... no coffee....about 5 more minutes a waitress comes out we ask again for coffee....after a few more minutes we decided to just leave...the gill had 4 guests at this point and still could not managed coffee...on the way out I asked Micheal for the manager. HE said , you can't talk to him, he is off... I said some one has to be in charge and he said NO, NO ONE IS IN CHARGE. THERE IS NO ONE TO TALK TOO....well I guess the policy of the Mountain View Grille is that they only HAVE TO HELP CUSTOMERS IF THE MANAGER JOHN IS THERE...SO NO MAKING MONEY FOR THE BUSINESS UNLESS THE MANAGER IS THERE...??????? What the heck ki d of CRAZY way is this to run a business???? Maybe the grille needs a new manager, I know they need...

A large bland room with food to match. Not all of the menu was available upon arrival so our options were limited (would've loved to try a flatbread). I went with the beef dip. The beef was obviously prepackacked, presliced, and highly processed. I'd be surprised if it wasn't microwaved. The ranch dip for my onion rings was watery and unsatisfying. The onion rings were decent as they had that greasy and cheapish deep fried flavor that you'd find in a bowling alley (this is a good thing, this is how onion rings should be!)

The waitress was friendly and attentive. I have nothing but good things to say about her.

The vibe of the room was disappointing. I felt like I travelled back to 1993 and was visiting a minimally equipped conference room. Aside from the bar in the corner there's no way you would think this is a restaurant.

Update the space and update the menu. With a little effort, this place...

Ok… so this place is just fantastic! Epic in every way. My darling and I went there for dinner, and we were so impressed, we went back the next day for lunch. Every dish we had was just wonderful. Beef Dip, Shrimp Poke Bowl, Club Sandwich and a Rueben Sandwich… All Incredible!!! But the most astounding thing is how wonderfully friendly, accommodating, welcoming, and just darn professional, every staff member we met were. Managers… Felicia and Kenneth should be proud of this sincere staff! Ellie and Leslie, were our servers, both excellent. Saul and Fransisco were support staff and deserve a commendation for their truly excellent service, and last but definitely not least was the genuine and sincerely welcoming smile of Daniella in the bar. I am happy to write this review because they made our two visits memorable. We will definitely be back! Thank you Mountain View Grille. You really hit it out of...
