This had been our neighborhood grocery store for over 3 years. Upon meeting the āstore managerā Collin today we will never shop here again. Iām not sure if he is racist or doesnāt approve of individuals in the lgbdtq community, but to say āmy lifestyleā would be better served by either another location, or another grocery chain entirely in front of customers in the produce section was absolutely inappropriate. I set my stuff down, let him know he was highly out of line, left and will not return. I very much hope others do not have to experience the bigotry of this manager. Individualās like this should not be in customer facing positions. Regardless of him saying he was having a bad day. There is no excuse to treat customers or employees disrespectfully. Upon leaving the store I saw two checkers who I know by name and I mentioned to them about the interaction I had just had with their manager (Collin), they both said āI know Iām so sorry, he (Collin) is why we have both been trying to transfer as are other employeesā. It is unfortunate their corporate office has not taken employees complaints seriously. So I canāt imagine they will customers. Do yourself a favor and just shop elsewhere. I went to every single stater Brothers and nobody wanted to help. This is the only stater Brothers that helped me who did not judge us did not put us down. We were planning to buy groceries party supplies for my grandsonās birthday next week and yeah, everybody turned us down except for the stater Brothers thank you Jack the manager youāre amazing. God bless you. He went above and beyond and I thank God that he was there times are tough. Everything is expensive. My daughter is a single mother. She just had surgery. Thatās the only reason why weāre struggling is because sheās not working right now Iām working, but I could barely afford anything and a little cake would have made life the best and thank you Jack because of you my little grandson will get to eat a little slice of cake For his birthday. I am a regular customer, I shoppe here around 2 times a week. everything was great until about 10 days ago, I was double charge for one item, I mentioned it to the manager, he said he was real busy and I had to wait. and I patiently waited, and all of a sudden in a rude way he said, "if you want your money back you have to wait in line" he was in the register with a line with about 10 customers. And I mentioned why did I had to get in line again, if I already paid and I was their mistake, he insisted if I wanted my money I had to get in line. and I left.
