My children took me here for mother's Day. To my surprise it wasn't busy at all. It looked like an average day. They initially set us inside until I looked outside and saw a beautiful patio that they shared via a dividing wall with the next restaurant. The patio was so beautiful and it looked totally different from the inside. The patio look more like a beautiful nightlife type theme. The server that we had was extremely young and I want to assume that she was new because she didn't know what she was doing. She didn't know about the different foods or what was on the menu. We had to tell her to bring us water after she took our order. Once the food finally came out we had to remind her that we did not even have silverware. We had to ask for her to bring us out water, and when she took our individual drink orders she only brought out one drink out of five people. I can tell she was young and just did not know what she was doing so I'm going to give her a break. The manager was AWESOME. SHE WAS JUST A PROFESSIONAL ROCKSTAR. Here is the part that gets tricky and what I really don't want to say there were four adults, a teenager and a 1-year-old in our party. The only thing that was absolutely spectacular that I tasted was the Abundant Salad. OMG the salad was AWESOME!! My son said the the chicken stir fry was really good. It puts you in the mind of chicken fried rice from a Chinese restaurant, that's what it looked like. My daughter had the lasagna and I tasted it and it was a 7 out of 10 for me. She thought it was a 6 out of 10. My dinner was absolutely terrible an undercooked. I had the Satan chicken, dressing ang greens. They need to throw that whole dish away and stop selling it it was awful. Because it wasn't cooked all the way, the manager did credit me that plate with no problem. Two of the people in our party had their signature plant-based truffle Burger. They both said it was just okay nothing special. And the funny thing about it the table next to us had about six adults eating, they left the table with four have eaten truffle burgers. We were shocked at how much of the burger each person left from the other table. It was like all four of them took about three bites and that was it. The mac and cheese was not good. It was funny because we all ordered the mac and cheese because of the reviews. But none of us like the macaroni and cheese, it was not good. Lastly, we ordered three different slices of cake to go and although they were expensive, $10 a slice, the portions were really big. I had was the Black Forest cake and it was AMAZING TIMES 10!!! It was one of the best cakes I ever eaten in my life. 200 out of 10. My son had the Raspberry Buttercream cake and he said it was WONDERFUL!!! Their carrot cake was really good an I would say it was a 8 out of 10. For me I would go back and try different meals as I know some of what...
Read moreThis is hands down THE best vegan/plant based food I’ve ever had in Atlanta/in life :-))). I’m not vegan or plant based, but it’s the direction I’m headed in. My first time visiting this restaurant was Monday (21st Aug) and I’ve gone back daily since then. I’ve had the curry bokchoy, The plant based burger, pizza and the stir fry w smoked tofu, and every single dish was amazing (no lie). I talked to the Co-owner/Chef Michael, and he’s as real as it gets. Prepares everything fresh daily, nothing frozen all homemade, no short cuts, and he loves what he does and takes pride in his menu. Deaundre (server/cook) is hands down amazing at both of his rolls as well. The energy is great when he’s there, the music is on point and he willingly helps with menu questions, plus I can tell that he’s a passionate cook that takes pride in his craft plus he’s trained under Michael (yay us). There is also another sweet server that works there and she’s phenomenal as well. Super friendly, beyond helpful w the menu and provides 5 star service every time. Take it from me, you won’t find better plant based/vegan food in Atlanta so stop searching.
Oh, and I left my wallet on the table, and once I remembered they were closed. I called back the next morning, Michael answered and said it was there. Normally, I would have freaked out, but I knew my wallet was in good hands based on the energy alone of the restaurant. This place is rare and they’ll continue to get my business. ...
Read moreThis review is specifically for the Thanksgiving meal offered by Full Taste Vegan this year. Being a repeat patron, I'm sad to say I was disappointed with what was offered and I could definitely see the preparation wasn't where it needed to be.
First and foremost, what I ate of the food was delicious and what I expected of this restaurant, owner and staff. The meal I ordered came with 8 containers (mashed potatoes, 'turkey' slices, green beans, cranberry sauce, brussel sprouts, gravy, 1 dinner roll with vegan butter, and a small mini pie) - which, honestly, was just about enough for one person. Two would be pushing it and there would certainly be no leftovers. Upon pickup, I was let down (and the owner did inform they had programming issues) that my dinner didn't include stuffing -- a Thanksgiving staple and something I absolutely thought would be in bag, by default. Instead I got two 'greens' dishes. I was also very surprised my 'turkey' slices had a hair in them as I've never had that sort of issue with Full Taste before (I just had my hair shaved, so definitely not mine).
I really, really wanted to give a glowing review as I was so, so Excited a restaurant I loved was offering a vegan Thanksgiving option for those of us this day can be terrible for - but it just didn't meet expectations. Hopefully they learn from this and do better next year, but I can't...
