I'm only giving it a one because you have to. And also because of the front desk lady from last night. 3/23/18 so was a great customer service representative. Checked in last night and she was so friendly. Got to our room to find that they didn't vacuum. There were little beads on the floor not just in one spot but multiple spots we couldn't put our 9 month old on the ground because guess what he probably would of found one and try to eat it. We called down to the front desk and told her the issue so informed us that this has constantly and it's because the housekeeping doesn't care there's a red flag they should be fired on the spot. She was nice enough to come vacuum our room for us and recheck everything for us to make sure it's perfect. Then we found a stain on our bed sheets gross . Then when you behind the TV all you seen was dust another red flag. She told us she would be informing them to do in thorough cleaning with our room with changing our sheets pillowcase dusting takingnthr trash out and vacuuming and doing general cleaning. Guess what they didn't vacuum at all or even clean the floor because my plastic breakfast knife was still on the ground with a whole bunch of junk. Junk laying all over the floor still dusty dehind the TV and they only empty out one trash can and left the other on the desk over flowing now that is just plain ridiculous these people don't care about cleaniess sanitary and safety and comfort we spent almost 200.00 dollars for 2 nights and that was a complete waste since I'll I do is keep coming back to a dirty room because someone doesn't wanna do they job. One housekeeper was to busy talking on her phone while cleaning and the manager on duty this afternoon 3/24 didn't great us when she seen us come threw the door instead we got a nasty look when my son wanted to go into the pool area ?!? What's up with that I mean really this is the worst experience I have ever had in staying at hotel and I've had some pretty bad experience but this one tops it. I will be talking to the manager tomorrow when I check out and make sure I get a refund because they is just a shame I have tons of pictures of our room from check in to the housekeeper finishing up what a joke there plenty of other hotels in Marion go stay at the Fairfield when I'm back up here again this week I will be going back to the Fairfield inn instead I'll never stay here again. Talked to the manager at check out and he was trying to tell me that he doubled checked our room after housekeeping was done. Remind you I was up on that floor when they finished and never once seen him go in and if he did why was my room left a mess?!? Never offered anything for the issue said he couldn't give me a refund or a discount or even a free night had to take it up with corporate office and that was pretty much a joke they didn't offer me a refund...
Read moreThis is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in.. let's start it. Just getting reservations. You call a local phone number thinking you're going to call the hotel and end up with someone who knows where taking your reservations. Of course the call is dropped about halfway through and you're not sure if you have a reservation so you have to call back again... Now on arrival the hotel is a smoke-free hotel. Except as you enter the lobby it smells like a smoke room... Check-In was fine. No issues aside it from the lady at the front desk didn't like me disturbing her evening..
Get to the room. The doors look solid and feel solid when they close...
There is free Wi-Fi if you run speed test. The throughput looks pretty good. However, when you try to consume it, it's nowhere near usable for many things..
The TV was really nice, had a large selections of channels. However no online TV guide and you had to use this little 3x5 card to figure out what channel is what. The picture was actually very good. However, even though the TV had four HDMI ports, you couldn't use any of those because the remote didn't have any option to select it. So be cautious if you wanted to use it for a streaming device or a computer
There was a clock wasn't plugged in because the outlet didn't work. That appeared to be some iPhone docking station clock that wouldn't have worked since probably iPhone 5s came out.
For security, you do have an in room safe. However that safe isn't even connect to anything and you could pick it up and move it or take it if you wanted to However, that safe isn't even connect to anything and you could pick it up and move it or take it if you wanted to
The shower curtains were torn and being held on barely by plastic grommets, the anti-slip stickers on the bottom were gone. You could see where they were but they weren't there anymore. The toilet was ultra low height.. One of the outlets in the room didn't appear to work and one of the three outlets between the beds didn't seem to work either.
The worst part of the whole thing was the beds.. well, not specifically uncomfortable. They were extremely high and you could not set on them. Probably 10 to 12 in higher than a normal bed height. Making getting in and out quite a challenge. The room had one desk chair that looked cheap and the back was pretty well broken and rolling back. There was a side chair that was okay and comfortable, but that was about the only place you could set in the room
There was a mini fridge that froze our drinks overnight and the outer door wouldn't close to the cabinet that it was in.
Since this was kind of an emergency need it worked but I would never come back to this one again. Many other options in the area that are...
Read moreI booked this room so my daughter and granddaughter could come up to see me as I had been away from home for a while taking care of my sick sister when I got to the hotel room the first thing I had to do was call down to the desk Because when I pulled it bedspread back, I always check the bed. There were very nasty stains on the bed. Almost look like blood stains I knew they had just change the bed because I was standing in the hallway with the maid, put the sheets on the bed, so I knew they were just stained and should have been thrown away and i told him about the sheets the clerk at the desk which was a young boy said we don’t have any room to move to we’re booked I said I didn’t asked to be moved, but do you want to change the sheets and they sent two maids up to change them which I was fine with because I know the sheets were clean they were just stained but I definitely was not going to sleep on them. then I went to take a bath to get ready for my granddaughter and daughter to come up and I smelled sewer the whole time I took a bath me thinking maybe it was just a one time thing going on I got cleaned up we went to eat at at Applebee’s. My granddaughter wasn’t feeling really good so she didn’t eat any of her food when we got home we started to put it in the refrigerator and the refrigerator was off so we thought well maybe need it unplugged and plugged it back in and turned it up put the food in it every time we went to the bathroom we could smell sewer smell that made us sick but they had already told us they could not change us to another room because they were booked and it was late, so we just shut the bathroom door as the outside of the room did not smell at 8 o’clock in the morning or maybe a little bit before the fire alarm went off, woke us up completely and we checked and the refrigerator had never kicked on so we threw the food away so when I checked out, I told him everything that happened They said they would get a hold of the manager and talk to her and let her know everything that happened and she would call me and took my number. I never heard from her so call back never got a callback so I called again the lady at the desk, which was just one of the clerks was super nice said she was gonna call the manager and see what’s going on so the manager tells her they offered me a room and I did not take it not true !!! when I tell her I’m going to do the review and tell the truth she offered 15% off ha ha ha of my stay so let her keep her 15% off and I...
