I'd give a no star rating if I could, but it won't let me. My husband and I upgraded our meals to the three course option. He ordered the Chicken and noodles deep dish with soup and I wanted the Slow roasted turkey & dressing with soup. We waited and waited and waited.... And then..... Everything came at the same time! When I commented that our soup and my dinner rolls hadn't been brought earlier (prior to the entree as we've always experienced), she stated this way was how it's done. She didn't know we wanted those before because we hadn't said anything (on the plus side, my husband got rolls which aren't included with the deep dish. However, there was no butter for either of us.) I also remarked that I was given the smaller Dinner Bell portion and not the dinner I had ordered. She stated that when you get the three course, it automatically converts to the Dinner Bell. My husband's portion was the normal size, because, hey, there's no Dinner Bell for that item! I realized after leaving, she also didn't give me any cranberry sauce, but did ask what two sides I wanted. I figured maybe the sauce wasn't included in the smaller meal, but, hey, the picture shows it on the online menu. There also isn't any mention of a second side dish with a Dinner Bell meal. My husband eventually got to ask for butter more than halfway through our meal when she brought our check. After finishing, we waited and waited and waited...... and still no cookie for our third course. My husband decided to ask for it at the register, but our server was at the prep area, so we asked her for them. She stated our order was a choice of soup or a cookie. My husband questioned how it could be a three course meal if that was the case and listed it out for her: soup, dinner, and cookie. She argued there isn't a cookie if we had soup, so he listed it out for her again. This server had to ask her manager if he was correct, then needed to be told where the cookies were, and what to put them in. We didn't even try to discuss my meal with the manager. I did look at the menu before leaving and it says to choose a dinner item (not a Dinner Bell item), a soup or side salad, and a cookie. Needless to say, there was no tip earned for such poor service. After this meal, we would gladly have gone through the staffing issues and possible longer wait if it meant we would have a server with more experience than this one's...
Read moreThis Bob Evan's in marion ohio has really gone down hill. The last couple of times I have been there have not been a positive experience. First of all, the one time I was there my meat was not cooked thoroughly and was actually bloody when I cut into it. I had to send it back to have them recook it. By then I had already lost my appetite! I thought I would give them a second chance and it happened again. This time my chicken I ordered was not cooked thoroughly and also the waitress never came back to refill my coffee. This is dangerous and customers could get very sick from samanella and other organisms from meat not being properly cooked! The health department could close them down permanently because of this! Keeping my coffee cup filled is a must! Hell, a cup of coffee is almost $3.00! If I have to ask for a coffee refill every time then that means no tip! I understand waitresses are busy and they work hard, but when I went in, there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. I have the patience of Jobe when it comes to waiting when they are busy but when their up there talking amongst their coworkers and neglecting their customers, then I have a big problem with that! I actually got sick to my stomach after eating there the second time. What kind of cooks do they hire? Even alot of waitresses are not the most friendly. Did I mention the hostess? That woman needs to smile once in a while and get a personality! She always looks so miserable! If she doesn't like her job, go some place else! On top of that they have decreased their portions of food and charge more. After two negative experiences in a row, I will never patronize their business again! By the way, the Bob Evan's in Upper Sandusky and the one in Delaware are absolutely wonderful! Don't know what happened to the one in Marion,...
Read moreI am extremely appalled by the customer service that was provided to me and my co workers. We had ordered a pretty large order on 4/16 and had it delivered as it is a Saturday and a holiday weekend, and all staff was needed at our place of work. When our order was delivered, we were missing quite a few items. I personally called in and talked to a woman (did not mention her name) about the missing items. Her response to that was âI did those items, so clearly you need to check againâ. I assured her we did not receive any of the items she claims she put in our bag. She then responds with âif you canât have someone drive not even 5 minutes down the road, then we can happily refund those items off your billâ . I then was in shock that a manager/ associate would even speak to a customer this way. I drove to Bob Evans only to not even be acknowledged by a single employee for about 10 minutes, i then finally am able to speak to a gentleman who was an assistant manager. I let him know about the missing items and the very rude conversation I had with one of his employees. He handles the situation much better, but as the woman I originally talked to was getting my missing items together as she was doing so she is rolling her hers making comments like â I donât even care anymoreâ mumbling stuff under her breath, she is throwing items into my bag, just in general being very very rude. As she finished getting all of our missing items; she shoves the bag towards me, and says âhave a great dayâ. I received no apologies. I will be reaching out to the GM but be advised when ordering carry out or delivery! I * I did speak to the assistant GM, Amanda and she was amazing!! She apologized and made...
