So it's hard to say how the food actually is due to the service and how badly that was executed. I sat down and my waiter promptly asked for my drink.. He came back and I ordered. I had fajitas and as an appetizer I ordered a tamale, I specifically asked for that to come before the meal. My tamale came 5 minutes later. After literally taking 1 bite of my appetizer I turned around and he was back with the fajitas.. I'm like okay.. I haven't even taken 1 bite of my appetizer and you're serving my meal? So now by the time my appetizer is eaten my fajitas are now cold. The tortillas (wrapped in foil) practically ripped as they were now cold and stuck to each other.. My fajitas now cold dry and lifeless.. The server came back not even 2 minutes later after dropping the meal to ask how everything was.. I'm like idk I've not even finished my appetizer to even try my meal.. He then never came back to check on me once.. Not even to drop the check or refresh my drink, which sat empty at the end of the table.. Matter of fact he stood 3 tables down right in front of me the whole service talking to friends in a corner booth.. I had to raise my hand to get the guy who seats peoples attention to get my bill.. So yeah 1 star and I would never go back to this place as the service was so rushed and non existant I felt like I wasn't...

El Campesino is a great place to go if you love Mexican food! They have all kinds of dishes full of flavor. Their tacos are super tasty, and you can get them with beef, chicken, or even shrimp. They also serve burritos stuffed with rice, beans, cheese, and your choice of meat – they’re really filling! If you like enchiladas, theirs are covered in delicious sauces and melted cheese.

They also have quesadillas with lots of cheese, fajitas that come out sizzling with peppers and onions, and chimichangas that are crispy on the outside and packed with flavor. The rice and beans on the side are just right – warm and tasty.

For starters, you can enjoy their fresh guacamole or some chips and salsa. They even have nachos loaded with cheese, meat, and toppings, which are perfect for sharing.

The desserts are amazing too! They have fried ice cream and churros, which are sweet and a little crunchy. The staff at El Campesino is super friendly and always checks in to make sure you have everything you need. They make you feel welcome and take great care of you. It’s a fun place to enjoy a meal with...

We ordered our food on the 11th at approximately 8:20pm and they told us the good would be ready at 9:01. We didn't mind waiting because we've eaten here numerous times and the food was fantastic. I even recommended my friends go eat there for good Mexican food. When we arrived at the restaurant and picked up the food. All the workers were gathered parlaying around the bar area. I asked my husband to show me the food and it started with a rotten avocado, I don't like guacamole so I always ask for a whole avocado. I ordered the carnitas meal and what I got was so shockingly gross that I'm thinking because it was closing time they send us with the scrap of everyone's food and decorated it with A LOT of onion so we didn't see the food! The carnitas were hard and dry, the rice and the refried beans were all combined together with the lettuce! I was flabbergasted! I tried to make do,i But my stomach wouldn't let me! I've eaten here so many times and this was the absolute worst and it wasn't fair to do us like that! I will never ever eat there again nor will I recommend anyone to eat...

Authentic Mexican food, prepared and served by smiling, welcoming, Mexican-American employees. Clean. Well kempt. Food arrives quickly. Nice outdoor area to eat, with good size firepit (see outside photo) and good lighting. Doors open up to this outside area so I can't wait until summer to try it out! There is also 3 steps up to slightly upper seating, at the NE side of the building, at the line of windows. **My fiance delivers for one of the restaurant suppliers and said he has never seen a better organized or cleaner kitchen than at this El Camps. He was mostly impressed though by the chef who was preparing two different meals at the same time; one with his right hand, and the second meal with his left hand. He made it sound like the chef was performing a show I would have paid to see. Our food came out piping HOT within 6 minutes of ordering it (yes, 6 minutes and there were 8 other tables of patrons), so it must have been that chef who made ours. The taste was incredibly delicious. The salsa was a little spicy but hey, it was Mexican! I highly recommend this restaurant.

The service was good. The restaurant was probably one of the more nice kept and updated Mexican restaurants I've been to ever. The food was good but about the average tasting. The portions were not as much as I was expecting. But we did order from the lunch menu. I suppose out of the last four Mexican restaurants I've been to in 2 weeks there was another one that served around the same amount but that place also cost more. So I suppose there are ups and downs everywhere and I really don't have anything bad to say about this place. I may travel to marion to eat dinner here some day.

Very nice local Mexican restaurant. All wait staff are professional and friendly. If there is an issue they fix it immediately. There are TV's that show sports usually. However, it's not loud and noisy like a sports bar. Outside seating is available, which is nice when the weather permits. Food is very good and portions are generous. They have no problem with subtraction or additions for the plates. Highly recommend the chicken fajita nachos, carnitas dinner, and corn cakes.
