Avoid this place for your own health and safety! On our recent takeout order, we found a sharp metal wire in our food. The wire was small enough to be swallowed, and the tips were sharp enough to cause damage. It resembled a bristle from one of those metal grill brushes with burnt food baked on it. If you do a Google search on swallowing metal wires, you will find that it is very dangerous and potentially fatal. I searched the remaining food for additional metal wires and threw everything in the garbage. For the next couple of days, I was very anxious that I had accidentally swallowed a metal wire and would have to go to the ER for surgery.

Additionally, I called to inform them about the wire and asked for the owner. An employee picked up the phone and claimed to be the owner until I asked for their name to confirm their ownership. They refused to give their name and denied being the owner. When I asked when I could speak with the owner, the employee instructed me to call back on Tuesdays. However, when I initially called on a Tuesday, nobody answered because they were closed. This employee was being untruthful and subsequently handed the phone to another person. The next person confirmed their use of wire and apologized.

Regarding the pictures I'm including in this review, the wire was initially straight, and I bent it to see what material it was. I later confirmed that it is indeed metal using a magnet.

Avoid this place for the sake of your health, safety, mental well-being, ER trips,...

10/10 would eat again!! My wife and I were greeted with warm welcomes. After being seated we ordered within 5 minutes. The chef who was an individual who was very nice and polite came with some complimentary lentil soup, which was a perfect lentil soup(I know my lentil soup). We choose the chili chicken wings as the appetizer and it honestly in no exaggeration was the best chicken wings I’ve ever had by a long shot the taste was tangy, sweet with the perfect amount of spice. The texture of the wings (deep fried) was so perfect and clean not oily or soggy from being dressed in the chili sauce. For the dinner entrees my wife got the stemmed chicken momos with shrimp chow mein which she says was very pleasant. The quality of the steamed buns was excellent. I got the fried chicken momos with chicken fried rice. These fried momos came in the same sauce as the wings which I didn’t know but I did not regret I joked to the chef the sauce is so good I could eat it on a shoe lol. I’m serious by the way. The fried rice was get and unique which is rare as there are only so many ways to...

Beyond delicious. I am from Toledo, Ohio and have frequented the many similarly targeted restaurants in my city. The dishes at Cafe Everest are above and beyond, for sure. The flavors are complex and deep. The Samosas we're hot, fresh, and delicious. The Momos, omg. Amazing! Not to mention the sauces served with both of these dishes. Outstanding! The entrees, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Chicken Biryani, were killer! So freaking good.

Don't be afraid of the level of heat you can get with your meals. The one thing I would say, was that the heat levels were a little tame. The meals were ordered at medium heat, and honestly, I would have thought the heat was a mild or negligible level. The green chilli sauce that came with the Samosas was so good and spicier than the two entrees.

Overall, fantastic experience inside and out! I will make this a staple for every visit to Cleveland from here on out! Well done.

P.s. - Naan isn't on the menu, but if asked like I did, they will gladly serve you. It was so warm and soft. Everything about it...

This review is woefully overdue - the food here is fantastic! I've been eating here for over a year, and this little resto is a flavor bomb in a rather bland and boring area. Momos, chicken curry, jalfrezi, butter chicken that you can actually taste the spices and tomato with little bursts of whole spices hidden inside that pops on your palate. The best, and most overlooked part of the meal (especially an Asian one) is the rice. I've never seen basmati rice treated with such care like they do here - the individual grains are perfectly cooked, glossy, retained their texture, fragrantly perfumed with whole spices, and you can taste each component of the rice. The veggie fried rice is just extra yummy - nice al dente veggies with sweet spring onions, and a hint of smokiness from the stir fry. Service can be a bit slow, but totally worth it. Just let the cooks do their thing and you'll be rewarded with deliciousness. So many good dishes here! Keep up the great work Cafe Everest crew! <3 <3 <3 uwu

Went here last night with a group of about 25 women, taking up about half the restaurant. Despite our large size the staff was able to create exquiste home made and delicious meals for all of us to eat hot and together. This is a family run business and it shows in the quality of food and service. I wanted a lamb dish and asked the owner for his recommendation of his favorite traditional Nepalese meal. He created Lamb Korma, not on menu but based on type of dish I wanted. The flavors of this dish were so wonderful! I also highly recommend going with group so can share a variety of dishes and appetizers. My friends and I ordered 8 different dishes and they were all delicious. Samosa, Pani Puri, Garlic Naan (it dips well in the Chicken Jhol Momo and sauce from my Lamb Korma), fried vegetable momas, paneer, dry aloo dum. Highly recommend this authentic family restaurant. They also do great takeout service.
